For clarification's sake, I'm not terribly interested in following the 72 hour to the "T". If people take a week or two, that's fine; as long as I know that there's a post coming sometime reasonably soon, I'm happy.

People have lives that keep them busy, and people like to write long and excellent posts. The more power to them, and to the quality of our community's writing.

I don't really think this was a case where the 72 hour rule had anything to do with anything. TNO didn't post because they didn't know what to post, they didn't know how to react to your post. Once you clarified what you needed, they responded appropriately.
