I must admit, I was sort of expecting an Imperial response, if nothing else then to know how Thyferra has been since it came under TNO governorance. If anyone would kindly inform me how things are with Thyferra, or what I should expect, I would greatly appreciate that. Assuming that I get no response within a week, I'm going to just start posting and making assumptions about the Imperial presence there based on observations of other TRF Imperial Occupations, such as that of the Onyxian Commonwealth. Thank you.
If history is to show anything, nations generally resent being invaded and annexed into different governments. Insurgents and rebellions tend to crop up in those countries. Though things are probably better for Thyferra under TNO then what they were under Chadd.
That being said, I was more interested in military forces. I don't care much for exact amounts and the like, but more of what type of units I should expect, as in should I be seeing the ubiquitous Stormtrooper or elements of Telan's Imperial Guard, etc.
Wow, twice in one night that I side against the Imperial leader. Drayson, you can't assume that everyone is happy with TNO governance. Some planets certainly are, many are satisfied, most are probably tolerant of it, and there are some that just plain don't like it. So stable and happy? Not so sure. Open rebellion? Probably not. I'd say somewhere in the middle, with at least two sides. And if someone came to stir up rebellion? Definite possibility. I'd like to see how it plays out.
I meant, insofar as it has been RPed, Thyferra is stable. The Empire on TRF has proven time and time again we are not the same Empire from the movies. While I've no doubt there are grave injustices done by Imperial soldiers, we operate with far more subtlety than Palpatine did in the OT.
It would be erroneous to assume that all Imperial worlds are ripe with rebellion and suffering under our leadership, by nature of them being Imperial worlds. That is not to say rebellion cannot develop, but you have to put the work into it... do not go into a world and assume, because it is Imperial, it is in a state of strife.
Just because you rp on a TNO world does not automatically mean TNO has to respond. Perhaps, with what you've written so far, a TNO response is not really needed.
All you listed was (TNO) in the title and I am sure TNO appreciates the notice that you are rp'ing on their world. But if you had wanted a response, perhaps you could has asked for one.
There are many people that rp on Coruscant and do not give notice. These rp's do not all require TNO responses.
And if you are going to be a dick OOC about it, I would imagine TNO would then rp that your rebel cell commits suicide thus ending your little venture. I do not have mercy for a person being a dick.
If you had done your research, you would automatically know that TNO (as Drayson has said) is much more subtle in it's ways than Palpatine was. A lot of work has gone into propaganda.
The Onyxian Occupation Zone is different as it is an outright occupation of a hostile population after their massed attack on an Imperial world.
Thyferra is not like those planets.
Yes, the people of Thyferra may not be happy but then again, I doubt the people of any society are really happy. Even the Rebels are not.. happy.
So should we start a rebellion within your rebellion?
The point is, if you are going to start a rebellion on Thyferra. If you are going to start a rebel cell on Thyferra... put some work into it. Don't just assume or you will be eaten alive.
And if you need to know what the planetary status is of a world, ask!
