Well there goes that.
A note on the content of TRF's writing.
Dolash, if I might suggest something. I think you should drop the governmental RP'ing and focus on character development. I believe your strengths lie in humor and strong characters, not politics and strategy. Take a break from the GC, focus on some TJO work, or something of that nature. The Jedi stuff is taking off now, they could use another active Knight.
Erm...Dolash and Maim disagree with each other.
Is that a goodbye Dolash? I sincerely hope not. Your writing here is greatly valued, and if you leave it'll be a pretty big blow to the lightsi-oh fuck it, if you leave then TNO wins. Game over.
I would rather kill off Simon Kaine then have Dolash leave TRF.
Dolash writing here is more important (in my opinion) than a make-believe character.

Dolash,
I say this from the perspective of someone who has been in your shoes more times than I care to remember. I think everyone at TRF has been there (except maybe Seth... the British are infinitely polite).
Simply put, sometimes you get into a rut. You lose interest, or you're interested but you see all your efforts as futile, and you lose faith. It happens to all of us. And it's perfectly acceptable and normal. Everyone deals with it in their own way... I know I've taken a couple breaks from TRF because of it, and always come back with new ideas and new plots just waiting to be enacted.
If it works for you, take a week, or a month, or however long you need, and don't visit TRF. Don't talk to people about it on AIM. Just forget about it. If you don't think you can do it, I'm sure the staff would be happy to ban you (heh). Just make sure they know you want to be unbanned eventually...
Or maybe you don't need to go that far. Titus raises a good point. You're a good writer, and TRF wouldn't be the same without you. Concentrate on Dolash for a while... or create a new character. The Union can always use players, and I'm sure VC or someone would be glad to have you as well... or just RP in the Astral for a while and give the newbies a fighting chance.
But it sounds to me like you've got to take a break from the government/fleet side of TRF, at least for a while. I don't know how I would handle it in your place, but I know I felt pretty shitty at times when GDI was the only active lightside group and I had TNO and TJE harping on me... it's a testement to your work and dedication that your group has mantained itself this long... even though you've merged and changed names a few times, your group has mantained its ideals and affiliation since you got here (more or less). That's awesome - GDI folded pretty quickly. Before TNO, I went through three groups because none of them worked...
(Actually, I lost interest for a while so I merged HDE with TNO so I wouldn't have to manage it... I enjoyed HDE while I ran it)
I don't think you're done with TRF yet... just you wait.
All the best,
DemosX

Very well spoken, Demos.
I agree with him - we have all taken time off as needed. Just make sure you come back, TRF just wouldn't be the same.
Remember, you are the face of the lightside here, Dolash.

Take your time Dolash and do not worry about your group or your work. All of it will be here when you get back.
If you have to, I would be happy to ban your account until such time as you wished me to unban it. If you feel you want to take time out from TRF and that it hurts to read the neverending parade of evil, then I can sympathize and madate you a short vacation.
Demo may be onto something with the Jedi thing. The Jedi have never looked as active as they do now. Maybe that's your hook on how to change the galaxy, with peace and love, rather then millitary revolution?
Either way, as I said on AIM, don't be a stranger. You're a fucking genius considering your age, and when you turn 20 you will be a monster. TRF and how many planets you have pales in comparisson to how you are as a person, and from experience, you are one of the best.
Besides me. But that's a given.

Taking a break is good. Leaving limits your options when you want to return but feel too proud to so so.
I suggest the break, and then return when the RPing takes a hold of you once again. ;)

Yes listen to the Grand Master. Take a short hiatus and come back and you will feel refreshed.
