So they landed on the planet, sneaking past the elite defence force and set up their beacon. Dozens of Big Scary Furens poured from the teleportation beacon, and began marching towards the Kraum.
Out in space, Freewater suddenly sat up.
“Turn around.” He said “A large enemy army has landed on Hurok. About four thousand, five hundred men, maybe eighty support vehicles. At their present rate they will hit the Kraum in four point five hours and the Frozians in nine hours. If we turn now we will have enough time to get some fighters down there to stall them and the troops should arrive shortly thereafter.”
All were quiet.
“So you’re not an Idiot after all?”
“No, master Yiffin, I was under cover. Now turn around immediately.”
So they did. As they arrived in orbit, they desperately informed the defence force what was going on, and brought a hundred mighty Mechanoid Suits down on the planet. The huge warriors loaded giant rifles, and stood waiting for the Furen.
Over the hill, the first Furen emerged, forming rank after rank of armoured death. The hundred warriors were the only thing standing between these 4000+ Furen and the innocent Kraum below.
Freewater and the others stood with them, standing resolute. Finally the Furen army had formed up. There would be no negotiation. They charged.
The hoard of grey smashed itself upon the armoured might of the Azguards. Brutally they were hurled like rag-dolls as the Mechanoid limbs, several times the length of a man, smash entire formations. Little red blasts flickered up from the Furen and impacted with small explosions upon their hide.
Finally, one of the Furen waved their flag in a signal to retreat. The Furen fled back to their original position to lick their wounds. The Mechanoids could not cheer, being robots, so instead they stood in eerie silence amongst the bodies of the fallen.
But then, just as it seems the Furen may leave, a huge rumbling started up. Over in the distance, the rest of the Furen army caught up to its’ vanguard. Thousands of warriors swarmed into position, armed to the teeth. The Mechanoids would be overrun.
But suddenly, The Azguards landed! Waves of Azguards, claws extended, fangs drawn, pistols firing, swarmed into the Furen and annihilated them utterly. The survivors fled all the way back to the teleport beacon and fled home, and many more were take prisoner.
Finally, they had done the last thing to forge Huroks’ freedom: They had fought for it.
