Kamon nodded.

"That sucks. Oh well. I guess we'll have to do without them."

He rubbed his hand down her spine.

Kate sighed, a tear forming in her eye," You know, when I was little, my dad always told me he wanted to be there when I got married. To do the job my mother would never get the chance to do...but now..I don't even know if he knows I still exist."

Kamon sighed.

"My parents said almost the same thing. Then my brother killed them and that ended all chance of that."

He wiped the tear from her eye.

"Don't worry, love. It'll be ok."

Being the best man at a wedding was not something Cole had ever imagined himself becoming. The Jedi didn't think too highly of himself to begin with, a bit of a loner, he hardly anticipated himself to be anything other than what he was, a Jedi.

The Jedi had been honored by Kamon's request to be the Rogue Master's best man. The two had known each other for sometime, Cole once taught the Rogue in the pure Jedi arts. Kamon had progressed far with his Jedi training when he had decided to become a Rogue, a choice that Cole had fully supported.

The two Jedi would go for months at times without speaking with one another, due to their own duties, yet Cole often was made aware of Kamon and his role throughout the galaxy. Word through the grapevine traveled pretty quickly, and Cole tried to never be the last to know about anything that concerned the galaxy.

This day’s event didn't concern the galaxy in a big way, but nonetheless, it was still a big event to some, Cole being one of those persons.

A big event which the Jedi Master would happen to be a bit late for....

... Sometimes, duty rang at the most unexpected and unwanted times....

He felt happy for Katie and Kamon of course, his best of wishes was with them. But somehow he also was unaffected. He wasn't one to jump up and down in joy at this kind of news.

Perhaps it was because he really didn't understand the concept of a wedding. Or maybe it was because he didn't understand love?

Well the latter was at least somewhat comprehensible because if its incomprehensible nature. But he never understood the value of a wedding. He felt it was probably an all too common vow that was all too commonly broken.

However if it does last, it creates one of the heaviest moral anchors I've even seen...And I suppose everyone could use some stability in such an unstable world.

Love was a powerful force. It sparked hope and boosted courage as well as heightened morale. It gave a sense of purpose but it also heavied responsibility. It was dangerous as well. It could breed prejudice, jealousy, anger, and pain.

Such a controversial essence...And yet it was something so fervently persued. I wonder what it's like to feel love.

Kate sighed and stood," Well, as mush as I'd hate to, I've gotta split and finish getting my stuff together, make sure the dress is ready..all that good stuff." she said, smiling softly.

She leaned over and kissed Kamon softly," I love you, and don't forget that."

I had awaken early that morning, for it was not as unimportant as the pssed few have been. Today was the day of Kamon and Katie's wedding. It had been a long time coming, and I had certainly had my objections about it, but now, I couldn't imagine it any other way.

I smiled to myself as I adjested my tie, and then straightened the front of my silver vest. I bent down and threw the black tuxedo coat over my white shirt and silver vest. I looked into the mirror, and then gave my hair one last fix, then started towards Kamon's room.

This is going to be a great day....I hope.

Kamon smiled as she kissed him.

"How could I? Anyway, I need to get dressed. Won't look good if I show up in my robes."

He smiled as she walked out. He then went about putting on his Tux. Hand Tailored of the finest silk and leather, It was quite good looking. He began to put it on.

Gash, too, awoke early that morning.

He had two gifts in mind; one comprised something for each, while the other was one for both.

The Jedi Master threw on some plain clothes, grabbing two incomplete lightsabers and leaving his appartment and heading due east, along the street, towards the Corfala Adegan Crystal mine. The advantage to having based the Rogue Jedi Order on Ossus, of course -- besides the rich history -- was the almost endless supply of Adegan crystals. The gems were the best in the galaxy for lightsaber creation, but the highest quality crystals were expensive.

Not for Gash, though.

He arrived at the mine in due time. It was contained beneath a small, grey building, and worked in primarily by former tribesmen of Ossus. Gash had been hesitant to allow the mine to so exploit the tribes, but Kasien had seen to it that the mine was made as safe as possible, and the tribesmen were as well paid as any men on Ossus.

Gash entered the building, and made his way to the administrative office. A few of the tribesmen passed him, greeting him in their native languages. He entered the office, and shut the door behind him, turning to the mine operator.

"Do you have them?"

"For you, Sovereign-Elect, anything. They were mined not ten minutes ago." Gash nodded to this, examining the two Adegan gems. They were sparkling, almost multicolored. "You know, you could have just asked for any gems. I assure you, they don't change after we take them out of the ground."

"No." Gash said, smiply. "This is different. For this, they need to be new. Stand back."

Gash put his hands over the two gems, and immediately, white light spilled down into them only to be absorbed by the gems. This process continued for several minutes, until Gash, looking drained, pulled the two lightsabers from his pocket and placed one of the pommel jewels in each. Both were now a sparkling, pristine white.

Finally, he clutched one lightsaber in each hand, holding them that way for a moment, until they began to glow with an unknown heat source. Gash did this for two whole minutes, before replacing them, at last, in his pockets.

The mine administrator, looking dazed, stared at Gash. "What the hell was that?"

"You just witnessed something even most Jedi won't seen in a lifetime." He smiled. "The ceremonial enchanting of a weapon."

* * * * *

Gash left the complex, pulling up his sleeve and dialing Kamon Voniranch's comm frequency. "Hey, Kamon. Look out your window. Look up."

In the sky above the city, fireworks were going off; and, in the distance, the fire had formed a remarkably detailed picture of Kamon and Katie. Only with the Force, was this possible; three very diligent students of Gash had spent weeks learning how to manipulate fire with the Force. "They told me it was too early in the morning for fireworks, but I told them to do it anyway. I'll see you at the wedding. I have one more gift for each of you; one of a kind gifts."

Kamon had his tux half on when Gash called. He walked over to the window and looked up. His eyes went wide with the sight of the picture and he smiled. He called Gash back.

"Thank you kindly, my friend. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."

He stood at the window for a long time before he called Kate through the Force.

Kate, go to the window and look up.
