Tides Of Change: Sticks And Stones

If he wants to play the shield game...

Fearsons - barely - brought up his shield, using the Froce to emit his emotions against the shot of lightning. The first few blasts ricocheted off, while the rest were simply absorbed and added to the power of the multi-colored defensive shield.

The PeFauna did not take kindly to this and lifted their weapons, starting in an all out charge against the Dark Lord of the Sith.

One stood back and lifted his hand, mimicking the attack sent against his emperor, shooting out blue sparks of crackling lightning.

The other five moved on in unison in attempts to cut and slash with their cortossis staves, with their lightsaber like axe edges.

With Somir temporarily distracted, the emperor went for his twin lightsabers, calling them up with the Force, doing a little spin with them, and turning them on.

Orange and black shot out in their excited colors, seemingly brighter now that the twin swords were once again about to fight together.

He turned to Jade.

"Jade now!" he called, and began running for the Dark Lord.

The Dark Lord's twin sabers flew to his hands, ignighting with a snap-hiss. The Loyal guardsmen each engaged the attacking guards of his foe, one on one, they locked in mortal combat.. each reaching a stand-still. His six most trusted guardsmen remained behind him, awaiting orders that would not come.

"Fearsons, this is unwise. Since we last fought I have unlocked the ultimate power of the Dark Force. I have no urgent wish to kill you, however.. if you proceed along this course it shall happen."

Jadey didnt have to be told twice. As soon as the order was issued, she was running at Somir, only to be stopped short by a dozen or so of Somir's Royal Guards.

Growling loudly, Jadey ignites her saber blade and quickly blocks a blaster shot from one of the guards. quickly dispatching his blaster, she engages in a saber fight with another guard. They exchange blocks and combat blows until Jadey ducks under a slash to her throat and stabs the guard in the stomach, killing him.

Having seen this, another guard attacks her. Disigniting her single blade, she bends over and lets the guard fly over her back as she replaces the hilt and removes her double bladed hilt.

Running back towards a more open area, she ignites both black blades and deflects more blaster fire, doing nothing more than injuring a few more guards.

The guard that had flew over her attacks her again. This time, being a Master with the twins blades she now weilds, she spins them around, opening wounds to his arm and leg.

Jadey takes a few saber wounds herself.....one on her left shoulder and another on her right knee. Now pissed off at this guard, she fights him off some more, then kills him by dropping down to miss a slash at her head and jumps up quickly, slicing him in half.

She sees more guards come after her and she Force blasts them back into a wall. After hearing a loud crunch of bones come from them, she whirls around and takes off running again.

Jadey steps into the shadows and merges one with them without a trace.

The Dark Lord disengages his blades and replaces them to his belt. Raising his right hand he speaks loudly.

"ENOUGH!"

With that, all action in the room is frozen by ancient Sith magic. He motions to his guardsmen then towards the door, each slowly being broken from the frozen state and striding from the room. Following silently, he implants a thought into Fearsons' mind.

~That was unwise, Fearsons. You have just made an enemy this day.~

Shortly, the Silent Death vanishes into the far reaches of hyperspace.

For one second the Sith Lord was right there, in his reach, and he was lunging at him. The next he landed where Diete once was. More Sith magic. Damn fool!

And he was already leaving aboard that craft too!

He shot a look of worry back at his commander.

"All weapons fire on that ship! Stop him!" the emperor cried out. The orders were carried out only a handful of moments later, and green turbolasers shot out at the ship.

Though it had done nothing, the turbolasers meant nothing against the quantum armor.

"Damn him....damn him!" the emperor cried out, more worried that he really would find Arai rather than any fear he had of Maim. The two had been enemies, Fearsons had never feared that one.

A smile crossed his face then and he turned to face Jade, pride swelling in his body.

"Jade...that was miraculous...you just plunged yourself against the Dark Lord of the Sith fearlessly in my name...that is definitely knight worthy...congradulations on your new promotion my love," he said with a warm smile.

Jadey steps from the shadows, limping, and holding her bloodied arm. As she stops in front of Fearsons, she looks shocked at first, then bows her head deeply, still standing.

"Thank you, Master. This is an honor.

But you know me. Im a fighter at heart."

The Missile Boats, having lifted off from their current locations after refueling and arming themselves, hit their SLAMs once more, coming in range of their first target.

It was a city, not heavily populated, but had the first comms tower on their list.

Their acquired their targets and let missiles fly.

(OOC yeah it's short, sue me, Isstal really wears you out and makes RPing hard)

<font color=red>"Capitol defences coming up now. We have incoming, Missile Boats, two sqaudrons." The voice drifted up from the sensor station of the Planet Defender Security Array that was Alderaa Prime, and set that facility into motion.

"They'll be passing over our position?"

"Affirmitive. Sixty seconds to firing range."

"Lock in targets and fire on my mark." The screen in front of him slowly counted down towards zero. "Mark." The facility, heavily reinforced durasteel and stone, studded with weapons and topped off with a mamoth hypervelocity gun, began to fire.

Over one hundred weapons emplacements, turbolasers and quad laser cannons, fired into the oncoming wave of enemy ships. Ships that had been unaware of the PDSA's abilities, assuming that it was merely a power genererating station or some other civilian work.

They paid for their ignorance with their lives. As the fire from the PDSA ended, not a signle enemy vessel remained in their site. All were gone, crashed or limping home.

"Enemy disabled."

"All right, then. Are those enemy vessels still in orbit?" A pause, and then, "Affirmitive."

"Target and fire. Mark."

The three PDSAs that protected New Alderaan began a rythmic firing, shooting their heavy steel missiles into orbit, where they crashed against the Shroud cruisers assaulting EMPRESS A8 and A9. Three of those Shrouds that had been hit crumpled, the awesome power of HV gun shattering shields and hull.

And it had only just begun.

Mu One watched as the missiles flew directly at the city, leaving a spiraling, pulsating trail behind them all the way up to the city, twelve missiles in all. Several positions in the city went up in smoke, but there was no way of telling if they actually hit the comms towers.

The male pilot watched his scopes, hoping for some evidence that he'd hit since his visual scanning had been corroded by the smoke. There was nothing yet.

"Mu Two what do you think?" he asked into his helmet as the Missile Boats lurched closer to the city itself.

There was a moment of hesitation.

"We're going to have to make a strafing run boss," Mu Two said tragically. They knew their duty. They would bomb the city until they hit the comms towers and then they'd break off.

"Arm bombs and get ready to-," the flight commander was cut off by a high pitched scream coming from Mu Four. The man's eyes went wide behind his helm and he looked out of his viewport to see his comrade's craft stuck in a horrific, spiraling, death plunge to the earth.

The craft exploded viciously, throwing debris and flames about that struck and charred the grass.

Suddenly the sky lit up with seething explosions all about and fear began to overtake the commander. The only thing that prevented panic was his military training.

Another Missile Boat dropped, Mu Three.

"Break off! Break off! Repeat, break off!" Mu One yelled, dipping his craft and pulling back on his yokestick.

The other Missile Boats followed quickly, engaging their SLAMs in a frantic attempt to flee. Mu Six took a hit to the rear, finishing off the already damaged afted and he began doing backspins to the ground. Another pilot lost.

They got out of range of the voracious missile blasts, and the sky behind them was ablaze with missile fire and explosions. Mu One's heart was racing, his breaths were coming quickly.

But there was an advantage to all this. They attempted to target the Imperial ships above the atmosphere...

The missile boats continued their attempt at fleeing the menace that was the enemy city.

Emperor Fearsons, after finally reorienting himself from the battle with the Dark Lord of the Sith, watched and monitored over the battle carefully, his mind refocusing on the Force. He reached into the minds of his commanders, linking them once again as he linked the squads of starfighters.

Judging by the reports, the battle here at the Defense initiative capital was going far better than that at Ord Mantell...was it the presence of Emperor Fearsons that had done such? He did not dwell too much on it.

He watched as the sky suddenly lit up around the enemy territory near the atmosphere, and suddenly missiles began to pierce the atmosphere.

They had shot through their own energy shield and piereced huge hole in it to try to hit invisible Imperial ships.

How excellent!

He looked up to where the Missile Boats were still pummeling the EMPRESS satellite. Even if his Force abilities had not guided them to it, the explosions about had caught a few hulks on the system, and had caused small burning hulks throughout the craft.

They were pummeling were these burning signatures were, and so Fearsons let their links drop. Lasers and missiles began to corrode the system.

They had disabled or destroyed enough EMPRESS systems by now that they were of no real issue to the Jutraalian fleet. How excellent.

He turned back to his XO. "Open up a link back to the Imperials and issue my apologies for my cutting them off...tell them I had...issues aboard my starship," he ordered. The XO responded with a bow and made off to carry out the orders.

When the images of the Imperial commanders came back to, he rotated his throne to face them. A smile spread his lips.

"Greetings commanders, the EMPRESS systems are all but destroyed and I shall now be focusing my fire power around blockading the planet and knocking out their planetary shields, would you like to deploy first troops?" he asked before they had a chance to speak.

"What the hell was that?" Mu Two yelled frantically, looking back over his shoulder every chance he had, looking straight ahead only to be sure that he wasn't about to hit anything.

Mu one cringed as he manuvered his fighter further and further from that blasted city. How dud they do that? That was what, two, three fighters gone in only a matter of seconds?

"All fighters report in," he ordered in an attempt to get an idea as to who survived and who didn't.

Two and Five were all that were left beside him.

"Damage status?"

"I'm clean sir, got a few scorch marks but nothing I can't handle sir," Two said as the delerium began to wear off.

"I took a hit to my starboard, shields gone one, but I'm reallocating, they'll be back up in a minute or two," Five reported.

So the survivors were in relatively good shape. But how were they going to knock out those missile launchers? Those were simply insane.

"Report this to Jutraalian command, Two, I'm going to go back for another round," and before his wingmen could debate the issue, Mu One blocked their transmissions to his fighter and he broke off again with SLAMs.

Just as the city came in range and he was confident about his shot - while he was a good nine klicks out - he unleashed an all out fury of missiles, letting loose every single one he had randomly toward his target.

The explosions down on the surface informed the emperor of the raging battle that had begun already. Excellent, excellent indeed.

The Galactic Defense Initiative had just lost any and all space superiority it once had, and now were losing ground installations as well.

"Helm," Fearsons demanded. The XO strode up once again with feigned dignity.

"My lord?" he asked.

The emperor thought for a moment, analyzing the battle, waiting for another series of explosions that didn't come.

"Can you pin point where those missiles came from?" he ordered.

The man nodded eagerly.

"Okay inform the Hand of Fearsons that it must move into the pocket where the missiles blasted through the shields and open fire on its location, all turbolasers capable, need be raze the city," Fearsons demanded.

The mighty yet downsized Super Star Destroyer began its movement toward the said pocket, when it was there, the sky was lit up with blustering explosions and seething green turbolaser lights.

The fighters moved against the remaining EMPRESS systems with unbelieveable, even superhuman perfection and unity, in a way that even the emperor or even Palpatine would be unable to link the men.

There was something different about this attack.
