The Shroud Has Fallen - TCR Vjun

Like a predator stalking the depths of space, the Darkforce parted around him as he closed on the figure of the Jedi.

Yet some hundred paces away, he could sense the rediness of his opponent and see the lightsaber clutched in its grip. The Jedi did not hide, or run... It did nothing but stand and wait.

With the Darkforce masking his presence, Silk stalked up with deadly silence and predation in his motions. Wether detected of not, nothing about the Jedi, in the Force or otherwise, gave any clue to his thought. Only clarity radiated from him.

Though surpirsed may have afforded Silk a chance to end this swiftly, he valued honor and chalange above a cowards speed of strike. So, letting the Force ripple off of him and charge his body, Silk stood from the tall grass and announced himself.

"Jedi. Today you will die. Go with skill, Jedi."

Then, with easy motion, Silk let the long chain of his lightwhip unfurl to the ground and awaited the Jedi.

Ganner's blade ignighted with a snap hiss. The soft hum of the blade radiated around him. The smell of burnt ozone reached his nose, but did not distract him. Bringing his blade before him vertically, he saluted.

"This does not need to come to pass. However, if it does go well with the Force and find peace."

Other, more pathetic, warriors would spend more time in banter. Or like the meek Jedi, they would try and barter their way out but, this was not the case here. Clearly this Jedi was one worth killing and, more then that, worth fighting.

With a quick snap of his wrist he send the mandalorian iron chain of his lightwhip flying at the Jedi, then, in mid-flight, Silk flicked the switch that brought his weapon to life. Driving ahead with a angry red glow, the chain coiled about the lightsaber of his opponent and leaping in, he tossed back the momentum of the whip, hoping to swiftly disarm his enemy but, failing that, stagger his enemy towards him.

The Sovereign Protector wasted no time. However, Ganner was ready for him. As the whip wrapped around the blade of his Jedi weapon he allowed himself to be pulled forward, leaping in the air as it was done. Twisting his body and landing to face the other from behind, he had effectually brought the whip's edge around the other's throat, but had held it a mere inch away.

Twisting his blade, he released the whip.

Interesting. The Jedi had the chance, at least by his own thought, to dispatch of Silk, yet he did not... Truely this was a hang-up of the Jedi, a flaw Silk did not need to bother with.

Unphased by the reversal of his attack, he pressed on.
Spinning with eye-skipping speed, Silk brought the whips glowing chain around under the feet of his opponent, forcing the Jedi to leap over the passing whip... and when he did, Silk was ready.

Without missing a beat as he spun, Silk ushered the Darkforce to himself and flung up a number of large heavy stones he'd passed earlier. Directing them towards the Jedi poised in the air above his wip, they smashed hard into its chest and drove him back...

The battle between dark and light has raged on for eons. The force, the binding energy of the universe had struggled since the dawn of time to balance itself. The constant tussle for supremacy, fuelled by emotions, hate and love, anger and peace, burned on with no end in sight. The darkside, the manifestation of all evil in the galaxy, prayed on the weak and the hatred that was so common now, attacking with ruthless agression.
The light, using the tools of compassion, love and happiness to fend of the great evil of the dark.

This fight unfolding on Vjun was the embodiment of this eternal struggle between good and evil. On one side, lay the light. A jedi by the name of Rhysode. The force was strong withing this man, he understood well the various lures of the darkside, and refused them, choosing the light as his ally, and what a powerful ally it was.

However on the other path, lay Dioan Silk, the hand of Maim. Nothing but a tool of the dark side's evil, nevertheless he was an exceptionally powerfull tool at that. Trained by the Dark Lord himself, Silk was as evil and malevolant as they come. Seething with darkside energies, instilled in him by his master, Silk would be the ultimate test to Rhysode.

Only time would tell the outcome of this conflict.

Not even Ren, who watched over the monumental clash, could forsee it's outcome.

The Jedi Knight fell, catching himself on a leg, a knee, and a outstretched arm. His chest surely felt the sting of the rocks which had pummeled him. Slowly he rose once more, saber still held within his hand. Then, without warning, another hilt appeared in his free hand. The blue blade of pure light energy snapped into existence and was a twin to the first.

The twin blades hummed as they cut air and nothing else. Each spun deftly in his hand. Moving toward his foe he spoke once more.

"I have no wish to cut you down. Your soul can still be redeemed by the Light, should you wish it. However, I will do what I must."

Standing ready once more, his blades spun in each hand before coming to a stop. He had reached odd fighting stance, one of his master's instruction. Surely he was a foe to be reckoned with.

... after the MCR battle's end ...

Deep inside the Dark Lord's castle upon Vjun, The Dark Lord of the Sith, Maim, was making himself at home once more. All things were as he left it. Around the castle lay the dense ring of Ysalamiri. Deep within the castle's bowels lay one of many cloning chambers the Dark Lord had constructed.

Within the cloning chambers were several bodies ready and waiting in stasis for a host. One of them, however, was about to be released from it's time sealed prison and be put to use once more. A body the Dark Lord would never had suspected he would be using, ever again.

Artum Somir, the Dark Lord's younger brother, had been killed many years ago. The Dark Lord had been cloning his Sith DNA for quite some time now, deciding weather or not to allow his brother to live once again. Now, however, the body would go not to him, but to another Dark Spirit which had already found it's way to this world.

The Dark Lord of the Sith sat silent within his meditation chambers, in his wing of the castle. A place where only the chosen few would ever enter. A place were even fewer would ever disturb him. His mind reached out to the Dark Spirit on the plains.

"Ren.. come to me. Together, we shall create for you a body of such raw power as you have never before felt. The Dark Side of the Force will flow through you like water through a channel. You will be unhindered by your old form's pathetic predisposition toward the Light Side of the Force. Come, now, and claim your right as a Sith Master!"

The Dark Lord of the Sith stood and began his trek to the deepest parts of the Castle upon Vjun. He made his way through level after level and into the very bowels of the planet itself. Deep within the planet's surface, he found his goal.

The cloning facility.

Silently he made his way to the cloning chambers. One by one he passed them by until he reached a row which contained Sith bodies, not human bodies. The few men he had taken with him were there for one purpose alone, technical work. They removed the body he specified and began to prep it for reanimation. Soon the body would live and soon after, it would contain the spirit of a new owner.

The body was moved, after the reanimation process was complete, to a chamber in the upper castle. In fact it was almost the very peak of the castle. The chamber itself had been designed to focus the Dark Side energies of the universe to a central point. As this planet, Vjun, was a Dark Side Force Nexus, this would create a well of power so strong that only a master of the Dark Side of the Force could control it.

Then the response came.

"Whoever you are, you cannot tempt me with such an offer. I am beyond your corporeal reach. If you attempt to wrestle me from my cradle in the force you will regret it."

The Dark Lord thought to himself with a grin, as the body was placed upon an alter in the center of the room. Then, he also responded.

"Come then, show me the power of your spiritual state. Perhaps you can defeat me for my insolence in calling upon you."

The Dark Lord prepared all and placed upon his hands a pair of ancient Sith Amulets. These amulets had been passed down through his line since the time of his great ancestor, Naga Sadow. For a time they had been in the hands of Ludo Kressh and his followers, but they were swiftly take back by their rightful owners.

The clan Sadow, which translated to Somir in the modern tongue of a now dead world.

Soon the fallen Master would come. Soon his choice would be made. The Dark Lord had foreseen these events and there was nothing to stop them from coming to pass. This fallen master believed that he was untouchable in his current state. The Dark Lord of the Sith would show him otherwise...

"Maim!" Yelled Ren as he materialised in front of the dark lord in all his glory. "You're not going to go through with this."

The dark lord of the sith offered no rebutle, and simply smirked slightly back to the ghost of Ren, which seemed to glow more intensely than before.

"You've amassed quite a dark force here, hopefully you realise you cannot hurt me?"

Again, Maim offered no response.

"Too long have I stayed out of the way, the old rules are not what they were maim, I can call upon every ounce of the force to bring you down."

"Then come, deadman." Taunted the dark lord.

"You leave me little choice, it's evident to me that you are far beyond reason or redemption, I have no choice but to destroy you."

As the echoing speech of the ghost of Ren ended, his spirit began to glow brighter and brighter, stretching out into the corners of the room. The light grew brighter and more intense, and was seemingly building to a point of fracture.

Soon the dark lord of the sith would be a memory etched in time, and his reign of terror would no longer live on.

The Dark Lord of the Sith offered a grin in response. Ren had learned much, that was for certain, however the Dark Lord could still easily command a much greater force than Ren could even imagine at this point. The Dark Force, at the command of one of the most powerful masters ever to live, would easily overcome the tricks of this celestial spirit.

"Is this your master plan, spirit, to overwhelm me with your amassed power? I assure you I would never have called you had you been any threat to me."

The Dark Lord's hands stretched out before him. The Sith Amulets upon each hand began to glow brightly red.

"Now you will see the TRUE power of the Force, young one."

The Darkness of this planet, of this chamber, and of the Dark Lord himself easily overpowered what the Light Side of the Force had to offer the spectral Ren. Darkness crept into ever space in the chamber. It sealed Ren in so quickly that he had not time to respond to it. Every possible exit, even for a spectral being, was blocked by an impenetrable wall of Dark Side energy.

"Now, my young friend, you are left with a choice. Enter this body and join in my cause, or be destroyed utterly. This body is your only way out of this room."
