The Shroud Has Fallen - TCR Vjun
  • Posted On: Apr 24 2003 6:11am
The First Crimson Fleet of the Crimson Regime dropped from hyperspace within a short distance from Vjun. Starlines shrank swiftly into pin points of light as the color filled lane of hyperspace vanished into the vast darkness of real space. Lord Voltimas, now addressed as Lord Vader by most, remained within his meditation chambers on the Star Destroyer, Vengeance. He had even gone to the lengths of installing a chamber, much like Vader's, which would have kept him alive had he sustained the same injuries the first had.

The charade was now flawless. His voice matched Vader's identically. His form obviously did as well. Even his sensation in the Force was identical to the man who preceeded him. None could, in fact, know the difference between the two. As far as the galaxy was concerned, Vader had returned from the dead.

Now it was time to complete his persona. It was time to take the long time stronghold of the Dark Lord for his own. It was time to take the planet Vjun and the castle and warehouse of Sith Artifacts and Knowledge that it held upon it.

The Force Storms raging over the planet had subsided now, with a little help from his allies. Only one could have destroyed the storms over Vjun, and Voltimas was glad he had. It showed that there would be no vengeance for what had been done. That it had all, somehow, been part of the master plan from the beginning.

The massive fleet of the Crimson Regime encircled the planet. None would stop them from aquiring what was rightfully theirs. This planet would not only serve as a stronghold for the New Vader but also as a symbol to the Sith and the Galaxy at large that this man was one to be taken seriously. That he was not just some imposter attempting to live from another's glory. That he was, indeed, a force to be reckoned with.

Though the planet was unpopulatable, at least to the standards of most, it was a symbol of Dark Side power. It was a symbol to the Sith that Voltimas, or Vader, was a man who knew what it meant to be Sith. He was ready to be a force in the Sith community. He was ready to be a leader, not a follower. He was ready for what lay ahead.. the battle for the Galaxy had begun, and he would blaze a trail for himself and his men and researve for them all a place of glory.

A shuttlecraft docked with the Crimson Regime's flagship, the Vengeance. Aboard was an expected guest, or rather an addition to their ranks. The Dark Lord of the Sith exited the shuttle and headed for the bridge. His royal guards proceeded him, as always, and his path was lain narrow and strait. Entering the bridge, he instantly took command.

"Skywalker, you are coming with me. Jax will stay behind to finish this. We have work to do."

"Yes, my Lord."

Less than two hours later, the ships vanished into hyperspace.

As a guest aboard the Vengeance of the reborn 'Lord Vader', one could be expected to be bounced around from one point in the galaxy to another without any warning. Arai was no exception, nor did she really care. She was comfortable on the flagship of the Crimson Regime, her every need met by those that served Voltimas - and those needs were quite extensive.

In her younger years, she would have never been so extravagant, but having spent a few years among the court of the Rogue Empire she knew that certain things were expected of certain people. A guest of the new Lord Vader could not be lounging around in her quarters being waited on hand and foot.

Arai had to make appearances, and she had to look the part of one worthy to be in the presence of the infamous Lord Vader.

The low cut black gown clung to her every curve, the platinum cuff-like bracelets on her wrists attached to a train of the same black fabric that trailed behind her like a great black shadow. A ringlet of platinum encircled her forehead, a single shimmering blood red gem embedded in the center of the ringlet, her mid-back length golden curls cascading down the skin of her exposed back. The soft soles of her sandals made barely a whisper on the cold, hard decks of the Vengeance.

Having become familiar with the layout of the Imperial Class Star Destroyer Arai was able to find Voltimas' quarters with ease, if that's what they could be called. So obsessed with his desire to pass as Vader, Voltimas had engineered the creation of the meditations chambers that was widely known to have been used by the first Lord Vader for survival. Inside the quarters was nothing but the sphere.

Arai shook her head discretely, even though she knew he could not see outside the chambers just as she could not see inside. She clasped her hands behind her, letting her presence ripple out through the Force, alerting him that she was waiting for him.

Lord Vader sat within his personal meditation chamber. His helmet sitting empty beside him. He had felt her, even before she had made her presence obvious. He had not only felt her, but the security within his sphere had warned him about her. He now watched her through a monitor before him. He watched, and waited, then placed his helmet about him once more.

Slowly the sphere whirled then opened. Vader was once more on display to the world around him. No longer is was he sealed in privacy.

"Yes, my dear, I am glad you are here. Soon we will be showing the galaxy our power. Together, we will show the galaxy the true power of the Dark Side."

Vader stood slowly. His slow mechanical breathing echoing throughout the chamber. Moving across the dura-steel floor his healed boots clanged upon the deck. His voice deep and echoing through the chamber he spoke.

"Together you and I shall create a union of Dark Side power. We shall bond in every way possible. You shall rear the children of the Sith's future. Our children."

Slowly Lord Vader began to stalk around Arai. His eyes, though unseen, solely upon her.

"You will be the mother of the Sith's future."

" Mother?" Arai gave a short, sardonic chuckle, her head following him, keeping her eyes on him as he circled her. " You presume much and have gotten ahead of yourself."

She grinned impishly. " Power, now that I'm all for. My power, your power, the power we could weild together, all things I am eager to show to the galaxy in a shower of darkness. But children?"

Her head tilted slightly to the side as she looked to him, the look reflected in her chocolate brown eyes almost mocking him. " I am not the motherly type, dear Voltimas. I do not ever plan to "rear" any children. Yours or otherwise."

Lord Vader haulted in his steps.

"Perhaps you misunderstand a few things. One, I do not mean at this point in time but in the future. Two, I do not expect you to raise children, merely birth them. And last, but not least, you seem to think you have a choice in the matter."

The imposing figure of Lord Vader leaned in closer.

".. And in the future, you will address me as Lord Vader."

Arai did not flinch, did not move in the least, as he stood before her quite mancingly. Knowing his height, his stance, she could visualize where his eyes were beneath that pitch black helmet and focused her gaze there. " I will do no such thing, Voltimas."

Her laughter echoed through the room, taunting him. " You seem to forget that I know you for what you are, my dear boy. A clone, a copy of an original long gone. Genetically, you may be Lord Vader, have his memories, even the same presence in the Force, but you will never be him."

She stepped in to him, her hands lifting from her side to rest against his chest. They slid over the smoothness of the armored suit, her voice practically purring as she spoke. " To the galaxy outside this room, you will be Lord Vader, but I know what they do not. You are not Vader, you are Voltimas.

" And you will be greater than he ever was."

He had to grin beneath his helm.

"Yes, of course. When we are alone, call me what you wish. However, in public you WILL address me as Lord Vader. In private you can call me whatever you wish."

He moved forward once again, closer to her yet.

"We will be great together, you and I. We will conquer and dominate nations and peoples. We will subjicate the weak and destroy those who stand against us. We will be a unification of the Dark Force."

The Jedi had evaded him for far too long.

Dioan Silk, Sovereign Protector and servant of Dark Lord Maim, had pursued the Jedi across system after system, world after world, all because his master had ordered it.

There were no questions, nor was there any debate. The command came, and it was carried out by the Dark Lords hand... Dioan Silk.

So, it had come to this. The Jedi had run out of places to hide and, after all this time, finally chose to face Silk in open combat. Or perhaps the Jedi had no chosen but simply accepted its fate... Here, on the world of Vjun.

It was not the most wise of locales for the Jedi but Silk had cornered him enough, he'd managed to spring the trap at the right time and that left him and the Jedi to face one another on the planet.

The name was Rhysode but, to Silk it meant nothing. It was a Jedi, a lightsider and, his natural enemy. Likely, the Jedi had crossed his Lord and so one was chosen as an example over the others, or perhaps there was more. Again, none of this was of any concern to the Sovereign Protector.

Slowly across the open plain, he closed on his prey.

Ganner stood, alone and without fear on one of the open plains. His mind was focused upon the task at hand. It had come down to this, but hopefully it could be resolved without death.

He had been meditating for some time now, but soon it would come. Soon the time of choices will be at hand. How would it end? He could not see.. but he was ready. He was ready to face death with courage and honor.

Within his right hand was held a metalic cylinder. The weapon of his religion. The weapon, of a Jedi.
