In no time they were at Jai's place, a high-priced flat in an up-scale neighborhood in Tantis. They all sat on the terrace that overlooked a park below.
Cairo and Owen sat beside each other on the wide railing, and Jai sat across from them on her meditation mat.

"It's good to have you back, Owen.", Jai said.

Cairo smiled over at him, "Yes, it is."

Owen had been avoiding eye contact with Jai the whole time.She was one of his best friends and she would know he had changed.

He finally looked up at her and she noticed that his eyes were......older perhaps.

"It is good to be back" he said.

Jai's sharp eyes caught it, just like they did everything else...

"Yes...I'm sure it is."

She glanced at her young sister, who was too lost gazeing at Owen to even breathe regularly. She rolled her eyes and looked back at Owen.

"So, brave adventurer, why don't you tell us about your...'journey'.."

Owen looked at Jai carefully.


"It was.....difficult"

And he said nothing else.

Owen Aiden had taken the first step in his long Journey.He had decided that he loved Cairo,no one else.He could never love anyone but her.

He had only taken the first step.

And life was a long and difficult journey.
