"Eilon Lieutenant Jeremy Smith, codename Hawkeye,”
“Eilon Lieutenant Johnathan Skier, codename Overkill,”
“We come in peace.”
Jack stared at the two Andozians as if the two were the embodiment of all the scum and refuge that existed in the galaxy. If looks could kill, these two would long be dead.
"No you don't." The young Commodore said icily, "No you most certainly do not. You come in war."
And with that, he turned and began walking across the hangar, motioning for the two to follow him, which they did.
"I lost thirty-eight thousand men today. Most were on the Timeless - that ship that exploded - and the rest were fighter pilots and various crewmembers on this vessel who couldn't get their life-support suits on before the hull breaches in their sections exposed them to vacuum."
Jack barely glanced at the two following him. He knew it wasn't their fault, but he just couldn't help himself. He was far to angry to be reasonable.
"Thats thirty-eight thousand crying mothers. Thirty-eight thousand familes devestated. Thirty-eight thousand tradgedies." Jack grated out each word and shifted course toward a Hapan shuttle, which was parked a dozen meters away.
He turned back to the two, "I want to talk to your leader. You will be accompanying me to the Helix."
And without waiting for their responses or opinions, he turned again and without even a flanking bodyguard he walked up the ramp and started up the shuttle's engines.
"Lets go!" He yelled down at the two.
A minute later they were lifting off and shooting into the wreckage-filled space between the Hapan fleet and the huge Helix station.
