OOC As I said before, you may attack and damage my ships as according to the rules, but post HOW you get by my dovin basals, you CANNOT just avoid them because you feel of it.



Both flanks met with heavy skirmishes, but that did not matter as the first volley of gunshots met only blackholes and voids to their fiery ends, but the second and third manage to catch the Yuuzhan Vong with their pants down, spitting out molten yorick coral.

But there was no fear.

With as many of its plasma cannons as it could muster to one side however the mighty Supreme Might began pounding the side of the enemy Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer, eating away at her precious shields in unison with several of the dovin basals, rapidly deterirating their very defenses.

Of course it would not topple for a great deal of time but this would be sufficient for now. Besides, with it just narrowly below it and to its starboard its superlaser had no way of hitting the super cruiser, as did few of its turbolasers.

Thousands of green blasts were sent in return, most to simply be absorbed, but several chipped and ate away, causing the Yuuzhan Vong commander to grit his gnarled teeth behind torn lips.

The other forces did similarly to their enemies while countless bits of plasma vomitted onto the enemy forces, causing countless portions of shields on the super cruisers to be torn and eaten, for that was where the plasma was focused, a bit on the MC-40s offered them some cover fire as well.

The Rimskippers were holding the enemy fighters at bay well away from the two Super Cruisers, while the coral skippers were having fun literally causing havoc amongst the enemy forces, downing B-Wings and other bombers swiftly as if they were nothing.

And to the Yuuzhan Vong...everything else was nothing.

There are no said losses yet, and until you can point out how there are none by myself either.

ooc:un chadd our fleets haven't met yet. And you will get losses. When they meet. And how many coralskippers/rimskippers do you have? Oh yah. I suggest you read the beginning of Agents of Chaos 1 Hero's Trial. The book will show you just how not invincible you vong are.

ic:As the 2nd Fleet passed over the front wave of skips a volley of fire blasted into them. Whether it was just too much fire or the basal couldn't handle that much fire and still travel by the time that they got to the fighters and capital ships behind them they were short a good couple hundred fighters. There the Fighters formed up with squadrons of TIE Defenders and other fighters going after partial squadrons of vong coral and Rim Skippers. The 12 Corellian Gunships and other Capital ships that had stayed behind on fighter duty mainly targeted the Rim Skippers where most of the fighter losses were being suffered. The Fleet battle wasn't going as well. They were getting hits but themajority of their shots got absorbed. Jump Bump looked out and saw 1 volley of fire be absorbed by a dovin basal. They had got to be tiring but by then they would have suffered a few losses. Suddenly 2 strategies clicked into his mind. Quickly he turned towards his tactical officer and his communications officer.

"Order all guns to shoot where the plasma shots are coming from. If they try to shield those spots they will absorb their own shots also. Transmit this strategy to all ships but tell them not to use it until I give the word And have Phidias and Duchamp move up and fire a salvo at the side of the Light Cruiser we're not assaulting." said Jump Bump

"Yes Sir"

"Sir Phidias and Duchamp report that 50% of the salvo got through. The Light Cruiser is now listing badly. It appears that the vong ships are using most of their dovin basals that should be shielding on that side to shield from our attack." said the Communication officer

"Good tell them to do the same with the Other Capital Ships."

"Know prepare to use the new strategy. On my mark. 3, 2, 1 mark." said Jump Bump

Suddenly all the turbolaser batteries moved from their earlier targets and targeted the plasma cannons that were blasting away at his ship. with a great big roar most of them fired at the same time blasting a Huge chunk of Yorik Coral out of the ship. The Phidias and the Duchamp by then had moved on to the rest of ther Light cruisers and reported similar results. As Jump Bump regarded the scene in front of him he could tell that the Light Cruiser was in bad shape. Another volley would do it. He had also heard that this was a smilar predicament with the rest of the Light Cruisers.

I know the yuuzhan vong are not invincible, but if you do not respect their techs I will NOT respect yours.

And as for respecting your tech. i do respect it. You could try to stop my shots and then stop shooting yourself or you coulud just let me blast your 250m ship into oblivion. That's right 250m. The Super Cruiser is Friggin 7,500m.big difference there. And no matter what you think the vong may not cover all of their ship with dovin basals. A corvette only has 2 dovin basals for gods sake. A gunship got destroyed by 4 count them 1, 2, 3, 4 X-Wings without losing a single X-Wing. And in Rebel Dawn a couple coralskippers got destroyed by 1 ISD mkII. Coralskipper dovin basals are built to absorb 1 maybe 2 cappie class guns. You had over 2 thousand shooting at you. If I figure on a 50% missing and it taking 2 than you have just lost 500 skips. But I'm nice an giving you 300 losses. OK? Besides you don't have a yammosk in system so you're skips really suck. skip pilots are actually on average worse than their counterparts.

OOC: Alright, here is the deal. Lets not turn this into an OOC shouting match. The fleets have met, as explained in Zhin's post. And Chadd, you do seem to think that you are invincible - which you are not. As explained in the NJO series, the Vong have their flaws and weaknessess. Please RP them accordingly.
