(OOC: 72 hours)
There was now a lul in the battle, the troops were safe near the bottom.
The sands were nearly out, in a second the enemy would swoop down and be amongst them again.
But, little did they know, The Commander did one last noble act. He pulled a lever, causing all the reactors to overload and explode. There were only afew dozen people left, and the explosion vaporized them, a lot less painful then the murder that awaited. The explosion spread to the vile blots in the sky, inhaleing them in flame.
As the fire settled, it was obvious, the last defence of Ord Mantell was over. The defenders had held out to the last, and had fufilled their sacred duty to resist. We can only pray that someday, they would be avenged.
