The stench of Ivpikkis still reeked across the fleet
The doomed invasion had sent many Ssi-Ruuvi on merciless trips into the afterlife, to never find peace in the here after. Ivpikkis had descraced his name, his class, and his entire line; a disgrace that hung over the ships of his command, past and present.
Th'twirirl stood in the center of bridge of the Stl'ren, not yet fully outfited with her full compliment of D'kee she was still a figurehead of the Ssi-Ruuvi assult. He could smell it still, no matter how many personal victories he had won in the past over each and every lowly fft, Ivpikkis's one major blunder still loomed over his head, and he could smell it.
"Exit hyperspace on my mark..."
He turned to face the helm consoul from which his orders were being directed to the fleet. The large red scale hardly flinched at each powerful word his leader uttered
"...MARK"
with an audible crunch the ships of the fleet each droped from transit on the edge of the system, lacking a good system of gravity they all lurched forward with the ship. They had jumped just far enough in system for the fft that inhabited it to have a fair warning before they were enteched. the smell of fear had such an intoxicating effect.
"Comm, block all known hyper frequencies these creatures use immediatly. If one signal escapes this system its your soul to pay."
A stench that he would lift forever
"Order the Pickets to head in under full power, move to moon orbits, we shall follow a short distance behind."
He watched the screens, if all went well, then soon he would rid this smell from his ranks and the name of Th'twirirl and his fleet would be clean forever.

OOC: 72 Hour Rule
The roar of old fashioned Ion engines filled the vacum in the wake of the ships. The pickets weaved in and out of a large X-cross formation as they approached the first moon of the planet, engaging in a class V rotation, that would keep them in a stationary position in orbit around the moon. Staying on the side facing away from the planet, possibly hiding a few of their numbers from sensors, but most importantly keeping them blocked from any line of sight weaponsary the planetary defenses might have.
On board The Stl'ren, Th'twirirl watched the ship movements ahead of him. The smaller craft more agile than his own were pulling ahead quickly. His ship and the St'weck side by side as they neared the planetary moon.
"Helm, take us into direct planetary orbit. Inform the St'weck of our intentions and have them follow. No transmissions are to be made to the pickets until I give the word.
"Ops, contact the St'weck, tell them to ready all droids for launch, power all weapons on both craft and target all centers of civilian life on the planet"
[i]Turning back to the viewscreen he watched the small globe turn beneath him. The room smelled great...

The Room reeked of the Odor of the stagnant Human
The small creature stood there, beaming in its little robe they had supplied it with. Ref was no Dev, but then again Dev was a traitor, and further more a human. He waved to the Com as the smaller inferior stood in front of the imaging unit. Psychological warfare was a favored game to play over slaved P'W'eki.
"Dear inhabitants of Ord Mantell, I am Ref Betan and I speak on behalf of my most loving masters. The Ssi-Ruuvi have come to liberate your system of pain, of your limited needs of the body. No longer will you need suffer hunger, cold or fear. My masters offer you a new and wonderous life among them and their machines. Please accept their gift with open arms! It is a joy beyond words!"
He waved for the Com to cut transmisson as he grabed young Rif by the upper arm, looking down at his face. Though the young boy smiled warmly, he could smell the distrust and deciet on him, perhaps it was time for another reknewal. He waved the boy off to his Brownscale guardian and looked back at the ball before him.
No system defense craft had yet appeared, no planetary defenses had been detected. Humans were weak, but not this weak
"Shreeftut, our sensors have registered something very peculiar"
"Elaborate"
"The structures down there have a 100% H2O based atmosphere..."
"Impossible, Humans dont breathe that mix. Let me see those readings"
Storming over to the sensor grids he gazed over each and every incoming stream of data conspicously. The Brownscale was right, that was H2O down there, and yet there were life readings.
"These arnt humans, apperently this universe is weaker than we thought. Send the St'weck into the atmosphere, have 6 of the Pickets follow her down. Land her on the largest city and begin ground based entechment process. Let us see how well these non-humans entech"

(Sorry, Teebo is out of it, or else he would have responded. I'm in command, and this planet is pretty much dead. We were given it (for no reason) by the chiss and with TNO and TCR invading Mon Calamari, this sunk to the bottom of the priority list. But even so, lets' see how interesting we can make this.)
Yreen Krickarm, Mon Calamari Commander, stood outside the greatest of the Dome Cities. People were fleeing to its' deepest recesses. There were a million troops, four hover tanks, and twenty MC-10 starfighters defending this world, hardly enough to matter. He would prepare a delaying defence instead.
Inside the city, the people hid in the lowest levels. The large tracks of junk were used to block exits. Three out of ten towers were rigged with explosives. Land mines were set on all major highways. The fey fighters they had were positioned inside large buildings and buried in a fine layer of rubish or inside warehouses. The tanks too were hidden in stratiegic locations. The entire planets' sparse population was in this one city.
Guns were passed out to every man and strong lad. The few Azguardians who lived on the world (Barely a thousand) were formed up into a close combat unit that was spread out in very confined locations. Outside the city all natural resources that were not brought into the city were destroyed. Possible landing zones were rigged with explosives.
All in all, it was a petty defence, but the best they could make. He went back inside to plan.

"Sir, we're getting reports of small arms fire in the capital city by our P'W'eck landing party. Heavy resistance..."
He sighed, more of a screech above that of human hearing. He never turned to face the brownscale, instead choosing to face the monitors
"Are all the swarm droids deployed?"
"Yes sir"
"Then have them patrol each city. Any resistance shall be met with death. We cant afford to lose any Ssi-Ruuvi in this venture at any cost."
"Sir, it also appears the entire sentient population of the planets surface has been huddled into the capital city. Very few others are scattered across the planet"
"Indeed, then concentrate all our forces on that one area. I want regular flybys by picket units in the mean time. No one escapes that city, or this system."
[i]Swarming towards the surface like so many celestial insects, the droids entered the streets of the city. Their puffs of radiation would kill the planet slowly if they were to remain there long. The explosions would start soon, the small droids detonationg Mines, Security drones infiltrating safe houses. The inhabitants would either surender or be surendered...

As the enemy fighters zoomed through the dome city, and enemy troops entered its' streets, resistance units opened fire. From hidden locations across the city. missles and lasers raced from deeply hidden ships. The enemy, caught off guard by this hidden assault, suffered afew losses.
As enemy drones entered the city, they were gunned down from hidden positions, where camoflauged soldiers with scope rifles picked them off. Befoer the enemy could fire, they were gone and a new position opened fire. This repeated, and the drones would be thrown into disarray, as their computers attempt to select a target from the ever changing battlefield.
Inside the city, the dome which kept the inhabitants safe from outside threats, was also effective at staving off radiation from the attackers.
The defenders were resolved in their defence.
(Losses: a few (maybe three or four) of any fighter class ship you used for the fly-bys, and a chunk of those drones you sent.)

The Pickets opened fire on the main city, crumbling walls and structures under them. Numerous fighters would be killed in the systematic destruction of the city. Again the ground shook as another wave of Picket fire struck another great building, its solid mass turning to so much rubble on the ground, a crimson spill beneath it, testament to a score or kill.
The city was swarming with Droids at the same moment, spining in their orbits, blasting everything in every direction. Some targeted hostile units, others intent on leveling the city itself. The screeams of the dead still couldnt match the twisted fates of the sould embodied inside the swarms themselves
"Sir, the attack goes well. The city is coming down on their heads"
"Such a waste of life force, have they offered their surrender yet?"
"No sir, no transmissions recieved from the main city yet. Reports indicate that the remaining civilian population scattered across the world are avoiding our units all together though. If I may suggest, we could still entech them if this city fails us"
"Yes yes... marginal victory..."
He watched the Battle analysis computer readouts, he would clear his scent it seemed, but barely by the looks of it
OOC: I doubt you destroyed 3-4 pickets, as they are not fighter sized craft. The swarm class battle droids are my fighter craft...

(OOC: Oh, in that case I might have killed some of them. Either way, I think your character is exaggerating his "Victory")
The defenders blasted away with red hot fury, something that no simple droid could ever have, the will and determination it takes to defend ones' home.
As buildings collapse, the fighters rise up, and make a lightning pass. Missles streak at the pickets, before they sink down again. The tanks let out a balst or two down the streets, vaporising their unfortunate pursuers, and then along with the fighters going down a long shaft.
This lead down to the armoured underbelly. several floors down the civilians hudddled. A new ambush zone was set up, a new death trap to vanquish the pitiful enemy assaults.

(OOC: Not quite lol, Its like saying you shot down the Millenium Falcon, thats what my pickets are mostly like. The swarm class battle droids are my fighter class vessels. Check my board for info. Considering you have wave after wave of capital class ships annihilating your city in each pass, I think im exagerating nothing.)
[i]The missles struck hard into the Pickets sides, smashing through their sheilds and puncturing the hull. One of the ship carened down into a building, collapsing into a fiery inferno as the other two pickets climbed skyward as the next wave came down. Blasting a torent of firepower into the location where the highest concentration of life readings were, slowly blasting into the ground opening up their secret place.

(No, I had meant shooting down two or three or four of the droid-class fighters. Not the pickets. But if the fighters wern't there, then maybe a picket would be an acceptable loss. Also, My men and vehicals have now retreated below the city.)
THe defenders sank deeper into their fortress. Finally, as the last of them got through a large durasteel door, it shut with a BAM!
That should buy some time. A huge, fortified wall section blocked where they now hid. It would delay the attackers for some time, allowing them to regroup.
