Lupercus grinned, watching her struggle.

"The planet has fish people on them..."

"Ooo! Ooo! The FishyMen! Ohh...what's tha name!?!"

Jai jumped up and down, racking her brain.

"Ahhh!!! I know it...ugh! Don't tell me!"

She stopped a moment and turned with a look of playful victory on her visage. "Aha! Cala...uh...um...Cali....no no...Calimari? or something like that, eh?"

Lupercus smiled.

"Yes, Calamari.

Your such a smart cookie for a Solo!"

He laughed.

"Yeah! That's it!"

Jai's jaw dropped and she punched Lup a bit more than playfully on the arm and then stuck her tongue out at him. Not exactly mature, but who ever said that Jai was?

"So dignified for a young lady!"

Lupercus laughed and absorbed the punch on his stomach.

"You know, you never really told me much about yourself, or the kid?"

Jai hadn't really thought about it, telling him about herself and Zoe...she didn't think Lup would care.

"Um...well..what do you want to know?"

Lupercus grinned cheekily.

"Well, is she at an interested in boys age? Cause that could be troublesome. Perhaps she might take a leaf out of your book. Although i doubt much shaving is needed at her age!"

It was crude, but hey, Lupercus was tired.

Jai just looked at him though narrowed eyes.

"I'm not even going to grace that with comment."

"Now, back to the real subject...Zoe's 10 or so, she really doesn't know. She was a Hutt slave. Her parents died and sent her to me, I helped them out once and, they really must've appreciated it." Jai shrugged.

"And, I dunno if she's into boys yet or not. I wasn't into boys at 10 years of age...I'm just now getting into boys. And don't even think about commenting on that, Darksword!", she warned, playfully pokeing his side.

Lupercus laughed, raising his hands defensively.

"Heh, ok ok!

I knew about the Hutts and stuff, i took a look at her mind when i 'met' her. Shes damn fragile..."

'Yeah....not exactly the type of kid that a smuggler needs to raise. I'm afraid I'm gonna screw up and hurt her or mess her up even more. She's a real sweet kid though...Ya know, I thought kids were like a punishment. A punishment for people to show them how terrible they were as kids...Zoe's an angel, and I hung out with a streetrat and worked on ships with my Dad. I was no angel."
