OOC: Just trying to open up more possibilities for Kahn. Open to anyone and everyone, I have no set idea as to where this thread should go.

IC:

It was early in the morning, and Naboo's sun was just beginning to peak over the horizon. Its rays cast the land in a pinkish glow. Dewdrops were still visible on everything, and the silence reigned. It seemed everyone was still in bed. A lone Jedi Knight walked through a forest, taking in the peacefullness and tranquility of the moment. As of late, Kahn had been unsure where to go on his path of the Light. He had taken on Padawans, and their training kept him somewhat busy. But the Jedi couldn't help feeling that something was missing from his life, that he had more ahead of him than just training others and living a relatively quiet life alone. This was not the only morning walk he had taken as of late; he seemed to be searching for something, something elusive. The Jedi Knight Kahn was searching for meaning in his life.

Tyscio Korban stepped out of his home hearing the small yet elegant ships pass overhead bound for Theed. The city was not that far away, yet Tyscio found himself preferring the tranquility of nature.

The deck, made of hardwood and metal, stared out into the forest that was his backyard. Lento had come periodically to pay the self alienating Caprician visits from time to time.

The wolf's puppies, of course, demanded constant attention yet Tyscio appreciated the effort to visit.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Loyalty is a rare and precious commodity. So why must man learn it from animals?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

The fog blanketed the ground and all was quiet. Tyscio's eyes narrowed in thought.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Someone's near. The animals sense it...and are quiet.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

He was dressed in a light/dark blue outfit befitting his clan. The cloth was light and he felt the damp air against his skin.

Lento perked up his ears suddenly and bounced off, perhaps curious.

Tyscio himself was getting curious since not many ventured into his neck of the woods.

As Tyscio stepped onto the ground, from his deck, moved along the side of his home noting that the meadow's grass was getting rather tall. Various large ponds were spread throughout the area that the forest opened up to.

The house was situated near the ponds, yet at the forest's edge, not far from the Capital...keeping the best of all worlds near.

A pond splashed a bit and the water ripped as fish began to start their feeding.

When Lento did not return, his curiosity got the better of him and he stepped into the forest.

He heard a twig snap..

Kahn had been taking in the simple beauty of nature when he heard something approaching. Although, out of habit, his hand rested on the hilt of his saber, the Force told him that whatever was approaching was not dangerous. At least, not at the moment. A wolf bounded into the small clearing where the Jedi was situated, and Kahn remained still, not wishing to frighten off the creature. He, himself, had recently accquired a new friend, a special Force sensative wolf, from Amalia Azalin. Although at the moment Zeus was off on his own. The Knight continued on with his walk, careful not to present a threatening prescence to the carnivore. Another ripple in the Force told him another life form was near. Kahn halted where he was, listening intently.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Jumpy..<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, was the first thing that came to Tyscio's mind as a small creature bounded across the path he was walking on.

Apprehension was felt and Tyscio frowned, stopping. He himself was unarmed, but had the confidence of experience at his side.

He turned his head and suddenly moved off the path, small shrubbery crunching under his boots. He moved up a small incline and knelt to one knee as he peared down deeper into the forest and noticed a person moving cautiously, hand on a lightsaber hilt.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Jedi or one of those... what do they call them?

Paddy wans?
<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Tyscio's eyes squinted at the young man, not recognizing him.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Don't usually venture this way...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Tyscio knew of the great Jedi Temple found in Theed but was a little surprised to find a member outside of their usual stoic compound.

A slight grin came to his face as he picked up a small rock.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> I wonder...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

He tossed the stone behind the young man hearing it crunch against rotting wood and a little critter squeeked and ran up a nearby tree.

Kahn turned slowly towards the source of the noise that seemed to echo through the silent woodland. Kneeling down, his eyes were drawn to the rock. Putting two and two together, the Jedi searched through the Force for the source of the ripple he had felt earlier. Not surprisingly, it was in the vacinity of the forest. The Knight began walking casually in the direction where his senses told him the disturbance had come from.

Tyscio stood to face the approaching man, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. The Jedi knew were to look which told Tyscio that he had at least sensed <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> something<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> of his presence. The Jedi had spotted him instantly.

He glanced at the robes the person was wearing and then at the lifting fog.

The area was humid, the breeze being blocked by the trees surrounding them.

"Bit overdressed aren't we?" he asked curiously as the the person came closer.

As Kahn moved forward, a figure came into his field of vision. He continued until he was a few feet away from the man. The stranger inquired as to his choice of clothing, and the Jedi smiled slightly.

"It works well enough, I suppose. Who might you be, my friend?"

Tyscio held out his hand to greet the approaching stranger.

"Tyscio Korban," he answered trying to gauge the man's measure.

"And you, friend?"

The Knight shook Tyscio's hand with a firm grip of his own, his eyes remaining on the man's face.

"The name's Kahn."

Both released the other's hand from the handshake, and the Jedi noticed Korban sizing him up somewhat.

"What brings you up at this hour?"

Tyscio let out a grin.

"Why breakfast of course," pretending shock that there would be...could be..any other reason.

Then he turned slightly thoughtful, "And you?"

The robes indicate Jedi, but it's hard to tell their religious caste structure. For all he knew, Jedi were not allowed to touch others and he had just committed a grave (perhaps Capital offense) which could only be resolved by lopping his head off.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Of course, Leia did not take offense when touched...but who knew with religionists?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

While he waited for an answer, he wondered what this man's story was.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> He's rather pale... probably doesn't get out that much from his studies at the Jedi Convent of theirs. And yet, his question indicated that he was used to 'getting out'...I wonder..<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
