Holy crap you really think that you can fire on my shipyards and not be in range? If you think so, go see Empire Strikes Back. They had been in system like 15 minutes and got pummelled.

OOC:Intimidators are designed to have great enough range to hit without being hit. Sorry. It applies in this case to hitting your shipyards. And in Empire Strikes Back they were close enough for orbital bombardment. We're not even close enough to hit your shipyards which are above your shields which are above atmosphere.

Sorry

You cannot hit his shipyards without being able to be hit by planet-based defences. It's that simple.

OOC:

"We're not even close enough to hit your shipyards which are above your shields which are above atmosphere." As you fired at my shipyards five posts up. Bravo. Dumbass.

Not even close enough to hit them with convential weaponry. Sorry. Intimidators are not conventianol weaponry.

Neither are planetary turbolasers. Thats why it takes 20 days to build one.

OOC:No it takes 20 days to build one because they are networks. And i've based most of my posts on the presumption that the turbolasers couldn't hit the intimidator. If you disagreed you should have disagreed then.

Why would I have to disagree then? And by networks they mean Generator + Laser + Command center for it. There is one actual laser. That fires one actual blast.

1 - The Intimidator R&D was designed for long range bombardment.
Targeting Range:80% of standard turbolaser range to 150% of heavy turbolaser range*
Cannon Range:Infinite

2 - The KDY Planetary Defense MK II Network is much larger than any sort of heavy turbolaser. If placed on a ship it would be classified as a light superlaser. If you have a copy of the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, look there's a listing for a planetary turbolaser in there.

I'm guessing it sort of evens out overall.

OOC: you could triple or even quadruple the range of the turbolaser, your still in range of any planetary weapon...
