MCR Takeover of Dagobah

The Mon Calamari Star Cruiser MC-40a, entitled Firestorm, sat in the Bimmisaari system. The ship had recently been built, and the crew was completing the basic testing of all systems. They were now ready for their first mission. Dagobah.
Agbar, a Mon Calamarian who had escaped the planet of Mon Calamari before it was taken over, was the Captain of the new Star Cruiser. He sat on the bridge, and was waiting until the crew gave the go ahead, so they could jump into hyperspace on route for Dagobah.
Agbar had once been a mere comm officer, but when MCR started to begin to build more ships, they had been needing Mon Cals to captain them. So he was appointed.
Ever since Mon Calamari was taken, the Mon cals had been short in supply. But there was still barely enough. Teebo's flagship, Shadow Defender, happened to be the only ship in the fleet to feature a crew of entirely Mon Cals. Not that it needed it though. The MC-300, unlike the original MC-80's, could support all types of life forms, so humans and other races could pilot it, instead of just Mon Cals.
As Agbar was deep in thought, a young bridge officer approached him.
"Sir, we are done the testing. The ship is ready."
'Prepare to enter hyperspace." said Agbar. This was his first command as captain of a ship, and it felt good. And it could only get better. He was about to begin his first real mission...

As the MC-40a Firestorm exited hyperspace, a horrible sight met the Mon Cals eyes. In front of him was aplanet, entirely overgrown with wildlife. It looked like it was about to explode. Everything was overrun.
'Send down the support team. Tell them to clear out a small base and set up camp for the night." said Agbar.
"As you wish, sir."
A shuttle launched from inside the Firestorm's docking bay, and headed down to the planet. Inside were 12 specialized troops, who were going to stay on Dagobah for several days. They also had all of the equipment they would need.
As the shuttle settled down on the planet, several birds squaked and few away to an unknown location. Most of the planet appeared to be covered by trees and vines, so it did not look like it would be too much of a problem.
The Dagobah Squadron,, as they were known as, stepped off of the shuttle. A strange taste and sent accompanied the air as they breathed it. It somehow didn't seem right. But they ignored it for now, and started to unload their equipment.

It was now night, and the crew had set up all of their equipment. They were monitering for any sort of life forms nearby, but so far they had found nothing.
Most of the Squadron were going to get some rest, but 1 had to stand guard, so Joe Mickil was chosen.
Joe moved over to the equipment, and checked it over. So far there was still nothing. He knew that this would probably be a long, boring night. He sat down in a chair, and leaned back. He then closed his eyes for a second, because he was tired. It turned out it waslonger than a second.
The next morning he was awoke by voices. He quickly got up and saw that the rest of the crew were all already up, and it was just past dawn. He had slept too long.
They all rushed over to see if the systems had picked up anything. But, surprisingly enough, there was nothing. This seemed rather odd, because the system they had was supposed to be able to pick up on any life form within a 2 KM radius, and it hadn't got anything. Dagobah should have been crawling with life.
After they had eaten breakfast, they sent a report up to the Firestorm.
"So far we have not found anything on the planet." Joe said, "It appears to be deserted."
"we have been scanning from up here with our long range sensors," Agbar said, " and we have not gotten anything either."
"It seems rather odd." came the reply form Joe, "We will report again later in the day."
"Good luck" said Agbar, and shut off the channel. He had heard many stories about Dagobah and its beasts that overflocked the planet, and he knew most of them were true. But where was all of the life. He just assmed they landed in an area without any because their sensors were working fine, and unless... the planet had some sort of sensor block. But he had never heard of anything like that before. He would look into it later, but for now, he had a important meeting to attend.

It was a good day.

That is what went through General Joren Arden's mind as his ship,an MC-300, the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Iron Storm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> entered hyperpace, bound for Dagobah. The planet Bimmisaari faded away and was replaced with the swirling stars.Joren was slightly uncomfortable in his oversize chair.Even though the new MC-300s were designed to accomadate several different races, it had still been designed by the Mon Calamari.Joren admired their engineering skills greatly, and he loved their ships. But he was not content with this Ion Cannon's only business. They were not true warships, they were just disablers. This had to be stopped. But unfortunately, Joren was not in any position to do anything. He just merely followed orders.

He sighed as his ship went into hyperspace, it was still a good day.

As Agbar finished his meeting, a junior officer aproached him.
"Sir, Joren Arden has left Bimmisaari and will be joining us for the remainder of our studies."
"Good." replied Agbar. He did not know much of Joren Arden, and he never really saw him around. Maybe this would give him a chance to get to know him better. But maybe not. You never know.
Down on the planet, the team continued to survey the location. There was still no sign of life. Joe Mickil was starting to get worried. There was no explanation for this. It was odd. Very odd.
Suddenly the sensors blared wildly, and Joe looked up just in time to see a giant creature slam the sensors aside, as well as himself. He collided with a treee and was koncked into unconsiousness.
The rest of the team heard the sensors as well, but they also heard the roar of the beast. They quickly grabbed their balster rifles and took several shots at it, but its thick hide repelled them all. The beast made another great roar, and with a swipe of its tail, cleared out some more of the equipment. The support team all apnicked, and fled from the great beast. Most of them headed for the shuttle, so they could get off the planet. But several mebers plunged into the heart of Dagobah's wild jungles.

"Sir we are about to exit hyperspace"

"Okay, good.Contact Agbar and tell him we have arrived and are about to establish orbit"

"Yes sir"

The <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Iron Storm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> made an uneventful exit out of hyperspace and slowly headed for Dagobah.

Several minutes passed.

"Sir the Agbar team is not responding. The MC40 <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Firestorm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, however, is in orbit"

"Odd.Open a channel"

"Channel open sir"

"<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Firestorm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, this is the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Iron Storm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.We are here and ready to assist"

Theteam members continued to race for the Shuttle. They burst into a clearing and saw it just up ahead. They put on a burst of speed and sprinted the last couple of hundred metres. They clambered aboard the ship, thier faces flushed with exhaustion, their breath sharp and ragged. But they made it.
"Commence power up sequence." one of the members said. He was assuming control of the Squadron, which was now reduced to 8. The others had fled into the deep of the jungles, but they had been smart enough not too.
As the ship fired up its repulsors and flew off into space, the monster stepped into the clearing. It had been not far behind.
--------------
On board Firestorm...
The survivors had just finished recounting their story to Agbar, and he was not pleased. He knew he could not leave his men to die, but it would be almost impossible to try to recover them. But they had to try.
Just then they recieved a transmission. Joren Arden had arrived from Bimmisaari. And it was just in time.

"Sir, <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Firestorm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> reports that their comm system is down, the can not send voice messages."

"I see.Well that explains why they haven't answered.Prepare my shuttle,I want to speak with Agbar"

"Understood.I am relaying your orders"

Joren nodded and spun on his heal, heading to his chambers.
He entered the turbolift and leaned heavily against the doors when the closed. He had been having a bad week. The battles with the Praetorite Vong and the New Order were a strain on his mind.He was slowly starting to get tired of all of this.Maybe it would be good to talk to Emperor Teebo about this.Besides, the Emperor had given him command of one of the Kubindi shipyards, so Joren was fairly sure that Teebo would listen.

The doors opened and Joren walked out.He noted sadly that the crew he passed in the corridors were mostly other species, non-Mon Cal.Joren smiled slightly as he remembered his first time on the water world......

The shuttle lurched slightly as it headed toward the planet Mom-Calamari.Joren huddled in his seat, careful to hang on to the armrests. He was a former New Alliance Lieutenant, he had been expelled from NA service for some heinous he had not committed. He had gotten into a bar fight with some other officers back on Almania, some Ensign had walked up to him and demanded money to pay for a drink.Joren responded by leading the man to a chair and getting him some coffie. The now-enraged Ensign pulled back and swung at Joren, screaming that he wanted another <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> drink<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

Joren easily blocked the strike and knocked the Ensign's chair over, toppling the occupant. The ensign's 'friends' came over and helped. After all was over Joren was court-martialed and expeled froms service. He had taken the first shuttle to the water world of Mon Calamari, hoping to live out the rest of his life in peace.

No such luck.

He was asked by a Mon Cal recruiter to come for evaluation.Joren did as asked and was eventually but in command of a small <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Carrack<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-class Light Cruiser, flying under the flag of the fledging Mon Calamari Republic. He did so well that he was put in command of a much larger MC-200 Cruiser. He slowly worked his way up, surviving the Vong battles and New Order battles and was given command of the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Iron Storm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> one of the newest MC-300s in the fleet.

And was now on his first mission.

He walked up to his quarters and wqent inside to wait for his shuttle.

Several hours later his shuttle docked inside the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Firestorm<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

Agbar was deep in discssion in the Briefing Room of his MC-40a, Firestorm, when he recieved word of Joren Arden's arival.
"Send him down here immidiately. I have something to discuss with him."
As Joren walked into the room, Agbar greeted him with a nod.
"It is nice to see that you have finally arrived. We are having some problems with securing the planet. Our team was attacked by a giant beast and most of the members escaped, but some are still down on the planet. What do you suggest we do?"
Joren pondered for a while over his answer.
"I do not know." Agbar was not expecting this. Joren was a high ranking military commander, and he thought that he would know what to do. But then again, this was not an easy situation.
"We considered landing an even larger strike team to try to recover those lost, if they are still alive. What do you say?"
Agbar knew that Joren would know the answer. He was a smart man, and he was good enough to get control of an MC-300, which was much more than Agbar could possibly accomplish. And considering Joren was a human, this was a remarkable feat indeed. Agbar knew that Teebo favoured Mon Calamarians to captain his ships, especially the more important ships such as MC-300's.
Joren must be good. The thought rang through Agbar's mind. But Agbar did not want him to be. Agbar envied Joren's position as the Captain of an MC-300. It was one that he wanted more than anything else. But he would have to live with it for the time being.

Joren listened carefully and quietly to Agbar, not interupting.
The Calamarian was truly at a loss. Joren had often seen this and associated it with hopelessness. He quickly laid a plan out in him mind carefully. They would need fighters and airspeeders. Also a Moblie Command Platform. An MCP is basicly a huge flat floating platform that was armed to the teeth and had advanced sensor systems. It could tie into the sensors of airspeeders or fighters and use it's own telemetry and map out terrain carefully and quickly.

"Are there any airspeeders aboard?"
