<!--EZCODE UNDERLINE START--> Sir, I'm reading a VSD class vessle on the sensors, not one of ours.<!--EZCODE UNDERLINE END-->

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Open a chanel to the "enemy" commander. I thought this was a private battle<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

It was supposed to be Tem. Or shall I call you Kas.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Kas will do sir. If it's not an outhorised vessle, what do we do. I was under the impression that this was close to the top of our "hush hush" things.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Isstal looked at the sensor screen.

"The ship has gone to hyperspace, I'm afraid. Stay alert for-"

Before he could finish several contacts appeared from hyperspace.

"Admiral, we have enemy contacts baring 00 Mark 4. Arm your weapons and stop them, Admiral. You have command."

Colonel Ross looked at his superior.

"Sir, are you sure that is wise? Admiral Katta is-"

"A trust worthy and very capable Admiral, Colonel. Have a little faith."

<!--EZCODE UNDERLINE START--> Sir, 4 new contacts at 00 Mark 4, they are coming in on us sir<!--EZCODE UNDERLINE END-->

Katta heard his unknown superior unlock the command shackles at the same time he heard his sensor man.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Weapons are free; repeat, weapons are free. Go to red alert, Shields at full power. Charge weapons to full power.

Form the fleet in a wall formation, 3 tall, 1 deep and 2 across. Extra ships stay behind.

Advance at 3/4 speed.
<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

The mysterious force closed. They consisted of 3 ISD class vessels, and one Hapens Battlecruiser. They were hopelessly out-gunned, but still they came.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Watch out for a trap, send the extra ships back 12 clicks, and spread the fleet formation out. Prepare to surround them in a band.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Kas watched as the enemy ships continued to approach, in their unwavering straight line.
Hmmm, something was a little fishy here.

OOC: Do I command the enemy forces, or is someone going to do that?

(If you prefer someone else can do it, but feel free to command them as well.)

"I'm afraid you do not see the graveness of the situation, Admiral." The man, a thickly built man in his late forties, with graying hair and a neatly trimmed mustache, sitting behind his desk, scowled at the datapad.
"The Imperials have no reason to attack us, you certainly know of our past allegiances." The GDI Admiral nodded abesntdly, only half-paying attention.
"None but to discredit us, which is obviously their sole intention. And it seems to have worked, you don't believe me, do you?" The thick man looked startled.
"Frankly, I don't."
"And what motives do you think we have for attacking you? We're trying to win your support, not destroy you." The other man raised an eyebrow.
"That raises an interesting point. With all your trying to win our support, why would you attack us?" He smiled. "Maybe you wish to frame the Imperials. They have been trying for months to bring us back into the Empire. Maybe you staged this attack so as to pin it on them, and make us join you?" Admiral Drayson shook his head. I don't believe this. He thought. This fool is thinking like an Imperial- Then it clicked. This guy was an Imperial, planted by the Empire to discredit the GDI. The Admiral rose and with a quick 'Excuse me' left the room, eager to report.

And still they came.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> All power to foward shields, concentrate all firepower on the front of the enemy ships. Prepare to break and fire.

On my Mark
<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

And still they came.
Faster and faster, the fleets sped.
Impact at these speeds and with this momentum would crush ships easily.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> MARK. Break now Break now.
<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

The formations broke, spreading just enough to let the enemy ships pass.

Laser fire ripped along the enemy ships, tearing shields and hulls.

The backup ships began the mop-up.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> That was too easy...<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"Supreme Commander, ComScan detects a new fleet entering the combat zone. Preliminary data suggests at least two vessels of Yuuzhan Vong origin."

A single thought flashed through Supreme Commander Isstal's mine: Peace Brigade

He opened a channel to Admiral Katta.
"Admiral, we have Peace Brigade vessels incoming. Sensor data suggests an attack on Eriadu. Stop them."

Then he leaned back and wondered what it was the Vong wanted... Eriadu, or him...

Routing out a spy, especially an Imperial spy, had never been easy. But Admiral Drayson always relished a challenge, and he thought himself the better of any Imperial spy. He thought back to the mysterious Delta Source, activated by Grand Admiral Thrawn. That had nearly cost the New Republic the war, and he had been unable to find that.

Then again, the Admiral reckoned, a Grand Admiral was hard to fool. And he had made a lot of progress since then. Yes, finding the Imperial would be easy. Harder would be to prove he was a spy and have him… what did they do with spies on Eriadu? No matter, Supreme Commander Isstal would put him in the brig and haul him away… if the spy didn’t die first.

Admiral Drayson entered the cantina for the second time in as many nights and sat, alone, at a booth far in the back where he could keep an eye on the doors. Both of them. The one at the rear intrigued him. It was kept locked, and by all appearances would be blastproof and harder to crack then he might have hoped. He wondered briefly if maybe the answers he was looking for were in there. According to the Supreme Commander, this was where the biggest place for locals to come and drink; yet he saw no sign of any obvious locals. Most were visitors, off-worlders who had heard stories of this establishment and come to see it first hand.

He entertained the thought of breaking down that door and finding out exactly what went on back there, but he was snapped out of that by the presence of a tall alien, who had planted both hands on the table and was leering towards him. A Trandoshan, with a heavy blaster pistol on one hip and a sinister looking vibro-blade on the other. He snarled something in his own language, and when Drayson didn’t respond translated into basic.
“You’re in my booth.” Drayson, always cool, smiled and shook his head.
“Sorry pal, this is my booth.” As he spoke, he raised one hand onto the table. As the Trandoshan glanced towards the hand, which had now picked up the delicate crystal glass and shattered it, his other hand drew his blaster. The shattered crystal reflected the dim light into the aliens eyes, and Drayson took the opportunity to draw and fire his blaster in rapid succession. The alien went down, and the GDI Admiral slipped out, tossing a cred-coin to the bewildered barkeep as he went.

Evidently his contact was a no show. At least there’d been some excitement tonight…

Peace Brigade. Vong. Not good.

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Long range sensor scan, let's see what we have here.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

Why would the peace brigade be here? Unless...

<!--EZCODE BOLD START--> Sensors, howmany life forms did you read down on the planet when you scanned it.<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

55 sir, all humanoid.

Kas sat in his chair, Could this be a ...

Sir, we read 12 ship incoming. All of questionable military might. We should have no problem mopping them up. I see... 6 Blockade Runner class Corvets, 4 Light Freighters, and two ISD's, an uncommon asset for peace brigade to be sure.

Hiram Drayson was astounded by the simplicity of it all. He walked the streets of Eriadu's capital, whistling to himself, with no real object in mind.

As he'd suspected, he was being followed. Also as he'd suspected, the shadower was an Imperial, and was doing a much better time than Grand Admiral Pelleon had done the last time.

But then, he was Hiram Drayson, trained to find and route out spies. This guy was good, but Drayson was better. The Admiral turned a corner, walking briskly, before turning another corner into an alleyway.

As he'd suspected, the shadower walked past, assuming he knew where the GDI Admiral was headed. In fact, without realizing it, Hiram had been making his way towards the government complex at the North end of the city. He pulled a lightweight cloak from a pouch at his waist and covered himself with it before stepping back out into the stream of traffic.

It didn't take long to catch up with the Imperial spy. Drayson gathered the cloak around and him and walked past the man, at least he thought it was a man, and turned away from the government area.

Behind him, the shadower drew a blaster pistol and followed.
"Hello there. Something I can do for you?" Drayson was sitting on a low metal crate, unmakred, with a blaster rifle in his lap, fiddling abenstly with the safety. He didn't look up.

The Imperial stopped cold and brought his blaster up, but it was to late. From behind him came a quiet shot, a slugthrower complete with silencer, and the Imperial fell.

"Sorry about that," Drayson said, stepping around the body. "But spying a dangerous game. I'm sure you know that."
