"We care about nothing but power do we?" Perrin chuckled.

"While you are the champions of freedom for all creatures great and small in the galaxy."

Perrin stood directly in front of the padawan.

"You ARE young. Tell me, young one... if you are for freedom for everyone, why are you required to call your 'teachers' ..Master?"

Perrin put an ironic twist to the ending of his question.

These Jedi are so blind..

He sighed.

"I have my work cut out for me.. padawan. You must unlearn whatever crap the Jedi have put into your head and pay attention!"

"Lesson #1. Never allow an enemy to get too close!"

Perrin's hand shot out striking Justin's chest squarely. The nearness of Perrin added force to his strike and the downward slope of the hill caused the padawan to fall back.

As the padawan stared at the sky as well as Perrin's grin from his fallen position (lying on his back) he noted the Sith draw a silver object from under his stylish clothes.

A snap and a hiss was heard.

Perrin laughed as he began to pull at the invisible strings of the force drawing them closer.

Justin looked up from his fallen position and heard a snap and a hiss.

Must be his lightsaber.

As he stood up, Justin reached to his belt and grabbed his lightsaber hilt, igniting the blade, just in case the Sith decided to try something.

Reactionary!

Perrin's lips curled in disgust.

Irritated he waved his black saber back and forth in a wide arc. Jeter would have to take a step or two back to avoid it's touch.

"No wonder you Jedi lose all the time. You forgot Lesson 1 that quickly?"

He swung again, not with any real intent to actually hit the padawan.

"Back! Keep your enemies from standing right in front of you! You lose advantages letting enemies too close!"

As if to punctuate his tirade, Perrin moved up quickly thrusting his saber in the direction of Justin's gut.

The boy would have to move or be punctured.

Justin backed up to avoid the thrust. His dislike for the Sith was continuing to grow.

"Actually, that was Lesson 5."

Perrin's eyes seemed to dim in disappointment.

Are all the Jedi idiots?


"If your master," he spit the word out like so much bad rubbish,"makes good common sense lesson number FIVE, it's no wonder the Jedi are a dying breed!"

His lips curled in a sneer.

"Very well, Padawan. While you meditate, I shall decapitate!"

And he raised his arms and swung at Justin's head.

"I shall alleviate you of your dead weight.." he murmured, his arms in full swing.

Justin's eyes narrowed as the Sith continued on his insulting rant. He brought his saber up to block the strike at his head, then kneed the Sith in the stomach. Justin then used a Force Push to knock the Sith back a little ways.

Perrin's breath left has he sharply hissed. A knee to the gut was something he was not expecting.

At least there is fight in the boy!

Perrin fell back a bit but he reached out with the force grabbing the young Jedi and forcing him to follow.

He swung his blade intent on knocking the other's blade out of his hand.

Perrin's eyes began to blaze as he felt himself getting into the fight.

"You are sooooo dead!"

Justin flew forward from Perrin pulling him along with the Force. He noticed Perrin's eyes ignited with a fire as the Sith struck at him hard with his saber.

Justin gripped his saber tighter and brought his saber over to block the strike, sparks flying as the sabers connected.

Justin once again Force Pushed the Sith, this time against the tree. He then ran forward and slashed down and sideways at the Sith.

A tree?


Perrin felt his back hit the tree and saw that the young Jedi ran forward slashing down and sideways at him.

Perrin slid to the side opposite the slash so that the Jedi struck the tree. As Justin's arms swung down in the fast motion, Perrin's foot lashed out kicking the Jedi in the side of his stomach.

The Jedi stumbled sideways.


Perrin reached out with his force awareness and felt his environment. He felt his mind grasp at something as he stepped forward raising his saber.

Justin felt pain in his stomach as the Sith kicked him there. He stumbled backwards, then noticed the was concentrating on something.

As Sith raised his lightsaber, Justin put his saber in a defensive position, so as to try and block what the Sith tried next.
