Admiral Kraken watched as the enemy launched a long range missile strike from the Victory Star Destroyers to his ships. Once again, because he had ordered them to screen his largest ships, the flechette launchers picked off some 40% of the incoming missles. And because he had turned one hundred and eighty degrees, he had brought fresh shields to bear against the enemy missiles. Previously, only his bow shields had collapsed, and his bow was damaged. Of the seven hundred twenty incoming concussion missiles, only three hundred sixty survived to slam into the shields of the Allegiance, and Reign class Star Destroyers. Roughly one hundred eighty concussion missiles apiece slammed into the shields of each ship. Still, it was enough to collapse the starboard shields on both ships, and open up a few holes here and there. But now it was time for the Imperial fleet to answer. The starfighters deployed from the Imperial warships and took up targeting telementy from them. Then they fired, and the capital ships fired as well. Seven hundred forty four proton torpedoes, and four hundred sixty concussion missiles arced across the distance to slam into the Victory class Star Destroyers. Explosions flared up as the missiles hit home, killing the ship badly damaged earlier, as well as hurting four other ships. Kraken ordered his ships to reload their missiles, and for his starfighters to venture no farther then one kilometer away from his fleet. They maintained their distance of 25,000 kilometers away from the nearest planetery defenses. The other ships, as ordered by the enemy commander, were well out of range. Finally, Kraken ordered his ships to execute a one hundred and eigthy degree roll, to bring his undamaged port shields to bear against the victory star destroyers.

Finally, Kraken ordered his ships to execute a one hundred and eigthy degree roll, to bring his undamaged port shields to bear against the victory star destroyers.

And in doing so... he turned his heavily damaged starboard side to the Tholatins, which were now moving forward again at the command of Captain David.

"Coming into missile range." Fornost reported from his staton.

"Fire."

The torpedoes and concussion missiles lanced out from the fleet, hitting the Empire's vessels on their unprotected sides, cutting gaping holes in their hulls.

"Move forward and engage." David then ordered. The fleet of Tholatins moved forward, the Neron staying back. As soon as the Tholatins could, they opened fire with their regular weapons.

"Sir, incoming missiles from the Tholatin Star Destroyers!" screamed the sensors officer.

"Brace for impact!" yelled Admiral Kraken. The IFACs managed to pick off 50% of the missiles before they arrived, but when they did, massive explosions shook the Allegiance, and Reign. When the dust settled, the Reign was in bad shape, huge holes blown out of her port side. All her power was down, and she was adrift, dead in space. Escape pods began to eject from her. The Allegiance was in slightly better shape, still having power, and controls, although her port side was basically useless for anything other than protection of her vitals. Admiral Kraken watched as the ten Tholatins that had launched the missile salvo advanced, and brought their complement of weapons to bear against the two large warships, destroying the Reign, and further compounding the damage done to his flagship. But the enemy, like all engagement long, had once again miscalculated, and now he was going to pay dearly. It's almost as if he didn't really care whether or not his ships were destroyed.

"Roll us another one hundred and eighty degrees helm. Bring our undamaged starboard weapons and shields to bear. Have all the other ships turn 90 degrees facing torward those enemy destroyers so that they can bring their maximum complement of weapons to bear against them. Have group one fire it's missiles, and torpedoes against those damage VSDs near the planet. Have everyone else fire their missiles, and weapons against those Tholatins. Ready? Fire!" ordered Admiral Kraken.

The torpedoes and missiles from the IFAC, which had now moved in front of Admiral Kraken's flag, as well as from the Gunships, and starfighters, leapt across the space between his ships and the planet, and impacted against the four VSDs that had been damaged earlier. In the meantime, Groups 2, 3 and 4 fired all their missiles and torpedoes against the Tholatins that had been damaged earlier. Four Tholatins detonated under their fire, and turbolaser fire that soon followed from Group 1. The Ion cannons, and turbolasers that soon followed from the other three groups damaged some of the other Tholatins. The missile tubes were swiftly reloaded. And the firing continued.

OOC: Damages: ORS:
2 Victory Star Destroyes destroyed (the two that had been heavily damaged last post)
2 Victory Star Destroyers heavily damaged (Shield: 0%. Hull: 50%) The two that had been moderatly damaged previously.

3 Tholatin Star Destroyers moderatly damaged (Shield: 0%. Hull: 75%.)

TNO Slightly Adjusted Damages: Taking into account flechette launchers, and profile being fired at:
1 Allegiance Star Destroyer heavily damaged (Starboard Shields, Bow Shield still 0%, overall hull at 15%, overall systems at 50% for propuslion, and armament, and overall shields, other systems near or at 0% in some areas)
1 Reign Crippled (Hull: 5%, systems: 0%)

OOC: I'm with Theren on this. You guys have basically dropped off the face of the Earth.

Admiral Kraken took stock of the situation before him. The Tholatins had been severly damaged on the right flank, helping to garauntee the survival of the fleet flagship. His Reign, however, was basically dead. Then, a new message came in over the comm, on a frequency not being jammed. It read:

"Reinforcements incoming from Vladet. Huey sends his regards." Kraken allowed himself a smile. So even though Commodore Huey had been driven from the outer system earlier, he was now inbound with fresh reinforcements once again. This bode well in the grand scheme of things. He sent a reply, with the coordinates of the enemy Nyto Cruiser with them. Then the ships in his fleet opened fire with a new vengeance, helping to clear the way for the incoming ships by focusing all of their firepower upon the Tholatin class Star Destroyers. A full load of missiles were emptied into their shields, and turbolaser fire was soon to follow, as well as fire from ion cannons.

OOC: Damages: ORS:
3 Tholatin Star Destroyers crippled (Hull: 5% or less)
3 Tholatin Star Destroyers moderatly damaged (Shield: 15%)

TNO:

The Imperal warships continued their insane prosecution of the three remaning Tholatin Star Destroyers. Their shields were wittled down to nothingness, then their hulls were repeatedley pounded by the massed turbolaser fire and ion cannon fire from the more than forty Imperial warships arrayed against them. When it was over and done with, the three ships were full of holes venting flames. They were still functional, although just barely, with most of their systems, including weapons, destroyed or put out of comission. Then, shuttles emerged from the VSDs, and IFACs to land troops on the three Tholatins.

In the meantime, the Imperial reinforcements came out of hyperspace right on top of the enemy Xeron Nyto class Cruiser. The weapons on all of the Imperial ships immediatly opened fire as their shields were raised and their missile launchers loaded. The crew of the Xyto cruiser were taken completley by suprise, and by the time they responded, the cruiser had taken a lot of shield damage.

The Landing shuttles, in the meantime, had reached the Tholatins, and boarded them. Immediatly gas was pumped into the ships, and killed all of the Tholatin and ORS crews aboard. Then the Imperials set about to capturing the ships completley. The Imperial fleet turned around to face the VSDs once again, their missile launchers being loaded.

OOC Damages: ORS:
1 Xeron Nyto Cruiser moderatly damaged (Overall shields reduced to 5%)
3 Tholatins crippled (Shields: 0%, Hull: 10%, Systems: 5%)

TNO:
3 VSDs lightly damaged (Shields reduced to 80%)
1 SC lightly damaged (Shields reduced to 75%)
1 CC moderatly damaged (Shields reduced to 65%)

"The fleet is standing down!" The call came across the frequencies of the Imperial vessels. The ORS forces pulled away, making a mad dash away from their enemies, ceasing their firing, and keeping away from their foes.

"I repeat, we surrender! This is the Outer Rim Soverinty Command, we give up! Cease fire!"

The Imperial fleet receieved the surrender signal from the Xeron Nyto Cruiser. The Cruiser was now trying to gain some distance from the Imperial Force that was now surronding it, but the fresh Imperial reinforcements were staying pace with it. Admiral Kraken came to the communications station, and transmitted a singal across all bands directed at the forces of the Imperial Outer Rim Sovereignty. It directed for the remaining Victory Star Destroyers as well as the crew of the Xeron Nyto Cruiser to power down and to prepare to recieve boarders. The planet, in the meantime, was ordered to lower it's shields, and deactivate it's plantery weapons, and defensive minefields.

While this was being the three Tholatins, being pumped full of Null Gas which was then quickly vented out, was being infiltrated and taken over by the several companies worth of Imperial Special Navy Commandoes. First one, then two, then three teams reported in from the bridges of the three Tholatin class Star Destroyers. The three Star Destroyers, now being captured, began to move out with help from some of the surronding Imperial Corellian Engineering Corporation class Gunships, along with some of the Imperial Victory class Star Destroyers. Then troop shuttles of all various kinds and classes disgorged from the bellies of the various surronding vessels, and headed at top speeds torwards the planet, a good sized escort consisting of Imperial TIE Defenders, and Imperial TIE Devils coming up right behind it.......

The Imperial Battleship Tormentor hovered into position above the Outer Rim Sovereingty vessel, a Xeron Nyto class Cruiser. An order for surrender had been accepted, and Imperial troops had been shuttled over to the Cruiser in order to prepare for it's departure into Imperial Space. But before it could go, it had one last purpose in mind. The new Imperial crews had secured the ORS prisoners in their own cells, and had taken over the duties of the ship. The cruiser slowly came about, and came up alongside the Imperial flagship, now a burning wreck, barely operational. She latched onto it with her tractor beam projectors, and the Allegiance used her remaining power to do likewise with her remaining tractor beam projectors. Together they moved forwards, towards the hyperspace jump point that would lead them away from the planet of Af'el, and to the planet of Vladet, and it's waiting shipyards in which they will be repaired.

With it's duties completed, the Imperial reinforcing squadron moved to join the remaining Imperial fleet. The new squadron took stock of the current situation. Drifting amongst the Imperial vessels were the wrecked remains of at least four, possibly five Corellian Gunships. Having recieved the beginning order of battle, the reinfocements noticed at least that many vessels missing from Group 1. In addition, amongst Group 2 floated many pieces and two huge skeletal structres that used to be their main ship, the Reign class Star Destroyer Victorious. The mighty ship had withstood many battles with Admiral Kraken from the time that he had taken command, from his first battle as an Imperial officer of TNO, to this latest, and grandest battle. Surviving where many of her comrades had fallen, the time of this ship had finally come to an end. She would be sorely missed, and most certianly would not be forgotten.

But also, there was evidence of heavy enemy losses as well. For the distance between the Imperial fleet, and where the Xeron Nyto cruiser had surrendered was littered with the wreckage of no less that seven enemy Star Destroyers, of a custom class larger than a Victory, but slightly smaller than a Republic, these ships had fallen prey first to savage missile strikes, and then they had been foolish enough to come into range of the fleet's turbolaser and ion cannons. The last three of their kind, originally ten in number in all, had surrender to the Imperial fleet, all heavily damaged, and were now being secured by Imperial troops as well. In addition, between the Imperial fleet and the planet, around and inside the protective minefields, floated the wreckage of at least three Victory class Star Destroyers, having also been destroyed by mighty missile strikes. The remaining Victorys, having surrendered to the Imperials, were now being moved out of the mine field by their crews, and would soon be taken over and secured by Imperial troops as well.

But the battle was still not over, so long as the planetery defenses remain activated and active. Admiral Kraken moved to the comm station, and issued one last message to the planetery defenders. "This is your last warning, stand down and deactivate the planetery shields, ion cannons, and mine networks. If you do not comply, you will be destroyed." said the tall Admiral. The bolstered Imperial fleet stood ready, as behind them the Nyto cruiser and Allegiance Star Destroyer leapt into hyperspace.

"I said we stand down all ready!"

The defences were down, and the planet was quiet.
