Endgame: The Dark Side of Democracy (TNSO, TJO) #4

Jordan was swimming with the other two padawans. He felt many people dying in the bubbles. Correction he felt many gungans dying in the bubbles.

Then a sound wave hit them. Propelling them back a few meters. He heard Kenshin and projected him a thought.

*I don't know what that was. But I can feel gungans dying we need to get down there as soon as possible.*

Jordan gathered all the strength in his hands and legs and used the Force to propell himself even faster. He felt an incredible amount of Dark Side energy in the bubbles, and it was growing bigger by the second.

(OOC:You assume incorrectly. I was an alien student of the Force long before i joined the order. Thats all been relayed in my previous threads.

And i know, i have been reading your posts)

"Crackerjack, we got some real fun!"

Despite his bravado, Lupercus did not yet want to deal with anything that could fight back. He wasn't in the mood. As she apeared to the side of him he kept running, the force enhancing his speed. She had cut across a bubble to reach him, but forgot that he was already moving towards Chikami moments later his Force enhanced speed almost ran him into the other Sith.

"Chikami, i'm thinking thats who you wanted to kill wasn't it?"

They spun to a stop facing the direction they had come. Lupercus grabbed a cowering gungan child and picked it up. Deactivating one of his sabres, he held the hilt up to the childs neck, ready to activate it as the circumstances dictated.

The trio now stood a few paces away from the semi transparent bubble shield enveloping the Gungan city. Kenshin gave it a good whack, but it just fluctuated and returned to its original state. He gave the shield a piercing look.

'We can't cut it. Lightsabers don't work underwater. What do you prepose we do to get in?'

Running throuhg the city slaughtering worthless gungans Chikami was having the most fun he had had in a long time. Skidding to a halt so that he doesn't trample his apprentice Chikami looks around. Then Lupercus says something that catches Chikami's interest.

"Chikami, i'm thinking thats who you wanted to kill wasn't it?"

Instinctively Chikami began to fill himself with the darkside before even looking to see what his apprentice was talking about. Vonta. Chikami stifled a laugh as Lupercus grabbed a gungan and made it look like he was holding it hostage. Turning his attention to Vonta Chikami spoke.

"It seems you have grown in power. Though not in the standard jedi fashion. Tell me did you learn anything at the academy? I take offence when people who are clearly after me go after my apprentices instead."

Chikami removes his cloak which up until now had been hiding the fact that he was missing his right arm. Holding the cloak out to the side darkness began to form around his hand, but the black color of his cloak hid it. A snap could be heard under the cloak like that of someone snapping their fingers. Immediately the cloak burst into flame and seconds later it was only a pile of ash beside him. Chikami's hand could easily be seen now inky blackness was swirling all around it. Looking back to Vonta Chikami spoke again cold and heartless.

"You are not the only one who has been studying ancient force techniques."

Jordan thought about a way to get into the Gungan city. He concentrated on all the domes and tried to sense life forms. He felt a presence in the Force. He knew he had felt that presence before at the academy but he didnt know who that was. He projected his thoughts to Kenshin and Logray.

*I think there may be a Jedi in there. We could summon her to come get us.*

'Okay.'

Kenshin sensed for a door-like structure built into the dome. There had to be one, unless the Sith decided on a suicide mission. He found a change in the field's frequency and motioned for the others to follow as he swam over to it.

(OOC:Nope, not a single area left open. There is one way out, but its not there yet...)

Lupercus laughed as he sensed padawans of pure jedi, the worst kind, swimming around the city, trying to find an enterance.

They'll be waiting for quite a while! So as soon as we kill this one, we'll have more sport!

Lupercus stared deeply at the woman. He sensed a strange mix of powers in her, Jensaari, Jedi and Aiki. Luckily that was to her detriment, since they collectively detracted from her force power by their very nature. He clasped the hostage tighter.

"Don't move or i kill the kid!"

He jabbed the hilt into the young gungans neck. He paused as he glimsed the absurdity of the situation, then laughed.

"What am i talking about!"

The snaphiss of the lightsabre was counterbalanced by the cold wet sound of a head flobbing to the floor. With a heave Lupercus tossed the body at Vonta, blood spurting everywhere from the childs neck. Lupercus cackled and ignited his sabres.

ooc: oh, okay...o.O

ic:

Kenshin grimaced when he couldn't find the area matching the frequency he felt.

'Maybe we can find the source generating the fields...'

He let the Force flow through him and concentrated on finding the sources.

Theed

Amid the commotion brewing within the city and without, a transmission took to the airwaves. A small station yet one with many affiliates.

Into the homes of the Naboo population came this one single experience, all other signals coming from the station having been cut.

An unseen person was standing near the camera, angled so only part of his garment showed. A tan garment, light fabric and without wrinkle.

Seated before him were five employees of the station, each gripping their chair in fear. A young woman, probably a student, an older gentleman with a beard, a soon to be mother and a rather grandmotherly woman. The fifth person was a rather young man, also perhaps a student.

The slow hum of a lightsaber was heard but no blade seen.

“Welcome once more to the grand spectacle that is the great fall of Naboo. As you may or may not know, your planet is currently being infested.

These creatures blend in. These creatures wait until you are set in your apathetic lives before insidiously controlling all that you hold dear.”

The figure walked over to the young woman and gripped her mouth rather roughly with his right hand.

To the observers, if any were indeed watching, the captives were did not seem to be bound in any material way.

Yet, even so, as Perrin’s grip tightened around the girl’s chin she felt the pressure of unseen forces at work forcing her to remain in place. Her inability to move being made evident by the tears beginning to flow.

Her body shook.

“Tell me, my dear. Who is this infestation?”

Despite his grip, Perrin’s manner was one of extreme politeness, even having the courtesy of stepping out of the cameras way so all could take in the picture that was this girl.

The girl began to shake and between sobs spoke out, “the Sith..”

Perrin laughed as if that were the most ridiculous thing he’d ever heard. In fact he commented so.

“My dear, as lovely as you are, you are indeed quite wrong.”

The black saber suddenly appeared and the girl suddenly tried to jump back in fright.

A futile gesture.

I have become stronger… , Perrin reflected upon the whispers spoken by his teacher. He was surprisingly reassured that Malice’s presence was felt.

Such undertakings should not happen without the bloodlust of his teacher being expressed.

“How about you sir? Who is this infestation… and I warn you.. a wrong answer would mean instant death for this lovely young lady.”

The girl tried to scream but Perrin’s right hand covered her mouth and his blade drew near.

“Well Sir?”

The older man narrowed his eyes at the Sith and spoke in a shaky yet strong voice. “You are referring to the Jedi.”

Perrin grinned. “Nice to identify the brains of the group.” Then Perrin’s eyes grew sorrowful, giving the impression that he was a lot younger than he really was.

“But you didn’t say it with conviction.”

The girl screamed but Perrin did not swing. Instead he walked behind their chairs, the force immobilizing the people as their eyes frantically darted back and forth wondering when or if his blade would strike.

He looked toward the camera, “The Jedi have resided on Naboo for years. Tell me, good inhabitants, where did you hear the war between the lightside and the darkside was over?

Tell me, why did you think it was safe? Because the Jedi told you it was?”

Perrin’s voice became reproachful. “They knew the war was not over. But instead of fighting, they chose to hide among the Naboo building a most beautiful target in the heart of Theed.

Now tell me: Did anyone think this would stop their enemies?”

Perrin grinned at the camera.

“As I recall, this so-called “temple” of theirs was leveled once, taking a good portion of this city’s inhabitants with it. Did the Jedi think to move themselves or were they appreciative of the buffer the civilians make up in this war that has lasted for ages?”

Suddenly there were shouts as Perrin sensed soldiers attempting break in.

He smiled disarmingly at the camera and bowed slightly.

“Feel safe. feel free.. and feel protected.

Maybe… just maybe the war will skip you.”

Perrin’s eyes became dangerous. “But..

I doubt it…”

He walked over to the camera and covered the lense with a cloth.

The hum of his blade as he swung was picked up extremely well by the station’s sound equipment.

The invisible forces holding the people were released and suddenly screams, shouts, yells and pleas filled the vacuum that a lack of picture brought on.

Soon all that was heard was a singular hum and then the sound of something crashing as presumably someone came crashing into the room.

The blade hummed again with its motion and the cries spoke of saber striking flesh.

Then the transmission died.

OOC: Actually She is the one person that has retified the differences over many training threads. Her path it the path of the Observer jedi charged with rectifyng the differences of the light side sects and bringing them together in a way that would make a jedi stronger for all the differences. She is far stronger for all the traditions that she has learned.

I must have missed that tid bit about your rank. My apologys. Now lets have some Light vs. Dark fun.

And just a few points. Remember that gungans are amphibious and well not drown for a long while under water. That they live in a under water city so there would have to be internal ways to shield and isolate induvidual domes from flooding. And that the shields in Otta Gunga do not cover the whole of the city. As to why I mention all of this that is for me to know and you to discover later.

IC:

A crie extended from the Gungan child. A scream that would tear at the heart strings of any sentient with a mind to protect an innocent child. She pulled on the force. Glowing with a blue aura around her body. Empowering all of her senses and physical prowess tenfold.

"So I see that the Ancient sith ways are yours to command." Vonta held the hilt of her unlite saber. Uncliping a Teepo Palidin blaster from her side as well. The Blaster was a weapon guided by the force. One that anticipated saber strikes making it much more difficult to parry with a saber.

"I seek out a fighter to deal with Chikama. And what better way to draw the big game out of hiding then to deal with the small fry's." She Looked at the sith strait in the eyes. She did not expect her old foe to also have taken a dark siders way simular to her Path of the Observer. Almost seemed like her dark opposite in the force.

Old words of Aiki master Nogar ring in her head.

"For all things there is an opposite, matter and anti-matter, Super novas and black holes, the light side and the dark. An opposite for all even the path that you now take well be mirrored someday in a darkened mirror."

Profetic as her old master always has been.

She had a sense of the Jedi apprentices as well. Three more of her number would certainly tilt the odds in her favor.

'Kenshin I am here in side prepare to joinin me shortly.'

"So Chikama, do you teach your apprentices to hide behind sentients when facing a superior foe or is it just a bad habit that he pick up before you took him on?" Pride is a weakness that most dark siders seemed to share. Shards she had seen it enough times in the past.

Both Saber hilt and blaster were empowered with Aiki techniques Giving them a blue aura that shown brighter then the one that surrounded her body and making them impervious to light saber energys.

But it seemed the the sadistic nature of the sith took precidence. The child quickly was decapitated. She held her steely gaze as the Dark sider ignited his light sabers. The time that she stood there was enough for her to allow any and all survivers from this latest culling to escape to other grounds.

With an air that showed her confidence and training she begain a slow walk towards the apprentice of Chikama. He may wish to attack her but that was just as well for her. Trench coat billowing behine her she makes a strait line to him unintimidated by the light sabers.
