It was simple physics that defined the destiny of the glass and the drink. One was a solid, the other a liquid. The solid had power over the liquid, the power to contain. The power to bring order to chaos, a chaos that would otherwise be just a damp spot on the floor, of use to no one and completely wasted.
Without the glass to guide it, the drink would be utterly purposeless. With it, it managed to conform to order.

The Empire brings order to chaos; such is the way of things. Order to chaos, for it is our right. It is what we were programmed for... it is what must be...</font>

"We have come under verbal assault, targeting our dignity, for the last time! We have not fallen, nor wavered through it all...they believe that they have won our pride with mere words, and I call upon each and every one of you to prove to me that this is not so! Our vengeance will come not by cowardly means of words, but they shall endure a demonstration of the true power of the Empire! Where our predecessors have failed, we will triumph over all!" - Darth Exceron, Imperial Address

It is said by some that if there were one bright center of the galaxy – that place would be Coruscant.
