Jules sat behind the plain wooden desk that occupied the office of the director of Cryon Corp. The man that used to lead the company still laid on the floor in a bloody heap with a knife protruding from the top of his head. She glanced over the files on the top of the desk and discarded them as trash. For months she had been trying to get control of this office through normal means so no one would know of her group. This business, as it stood, was her group. Cryon Corp. was an intergalactic crime syndicate. Now that she had finally endeavoured to do what she wanted, she was now the leader of the group. Now all she had to do was take control of the whole planet.
A slight knock on the door brought her out of the dream world she had been in and back to the reality of Terres. Now that she had forcefully taken over Cryon Corp., the government of Terres would be alert to the possibility that indeed something strange was going on with the so called weapons producers. Let the fools think what they want. The man standing just inside the doorway bore that newbie look of nervousness at the sight of a dead body. She was going to have to cull these people more thoroughly than her predecessor.
"What?"
The man gulped.
"There's some uhh..."gulp" police down stairs madame."
"Well, get rid of them. Literally. I don't want police around here so have the men dispose of them."
"Y..yes madame."
Pitiful. Some of these people her father had hired were pitiful. Perhaps that was part of why she despised him. That and that he had favored her now dead younger brother over her. Both of them had been weak. Oh so weak. Now they've paid for it. She'd killed them both with her own two hands. It had been so much fun to do that she wished they were alive so she could do it again. Not that it mattered. She would get her hands on the governmentals here pretty soon and then take over herself. Then no one would stand in her way.
Deciding to see how her men dealt with the police, she flipped on the monitors for the security cameras and watched the one showing the main entrance. Four policemen stood there waiting for someone to come out and let them into the complex. Obviously her father had pressed some hidden contraption to bring them here. Such weakness. Five big burly men appeared from a side entrance and walked slowly towards the waiting police. They, thinking the men were an escort waited quietly and were shocked when the men pulled out assault rifles and mowed them down. The bodies were then drug off to be gotten rid of.
Jules smiled. Just another day in the life of the De'Moor family.

"You know, I could really get used to this. My father must have had the easiest most luxurious life possible considering he didn't have to build any of this. lucky son of a gun inherited it."
She rested her hands on the table top and checked her nails before looking back up at the two men standing before her. One she knew as a long time employee of the company. He had been as faithful to the corporation as possible until she had gotten him to help her take control. He would be the one that got them into the capitol building so they could effctively take control of Terres and get her plans going to start the largest crime syndicate in the galaxy. And they would have the power, the personnel and vessels, to do all the damage they thought possible.
"Your father was indeed lucky, madame. He was, as you have said, weak however. Despite that, we've discovered a few things he seemed to have a decent handle on. His assets, for instance."
"Yes, I read that file. Tons of weapons stored all over the planet. Secret troops kept hidden away with the weapons, spies inside multi-planet fations, and so on. He was at least semi-good at something."
The other man, a large, burly looking individual, stood there, tight-lipped as usual. He was a hitman that sh had hired a few times before to do some routine jobs she needed done in order to get where she was now. Now, she had an even bigger job for him to handle, but one she felt was well in his grasp. This was a man who had taken on a rancor rather fearlessly. Survived just barely, but survived none the less. He was a man many people looked up to for his courag and bravery.
"For you I have a most difficult task."
"I can handle anything."
"So you've said. In two days, Gren here will gain you access to the capitol building. From there you must find the Council of Six. Take them out and then alert me. I will then make a formal address of our take over of control. Understand?"
"Yes, of course."
"Good. Two days, gentlemen. Get busy."

The first day went by without much in the way of incident. A handful of disgruntles employees had to be taken care of, but that was their own fault for protesting. Protesting was not on her list of favorite activities and as such Jules wasn't inclined to tolerate it. The deaths of the protestors were quick and very painful. Just the way she always wanted it to be.
The bodies of the forty or so protestors were packed into a huge furnace and burn to a crisp. There hadn't even been any bone fragments left for anyone to identify. Jules had sat in the office at the top of the tower looking out the window at the magnificent view the whole time it was going on. There were much more important things on her mind than the deaths of a handful of little peons that could be replaced at a moments notice if need be.
The Parliamentary building was only a few blocks away from her tower and she watched as people walked in and out of it like it was a store. In one more day many of those people would be killed as an example of what it meant to stand up to the De'Moor's. She would have her seat in the power position, controlling a planet. Though she would use a puppet ruler to do so in order to make things better for Cryon Corporation.
"Ma'am?"
Jules slowly turned her seat around, away from the window, and scooted herself up to the desk. Laying her hands on the table she eyed the young woman that was standing in the door way and looking like she was so scared she might wet herself. She should be anyways just because she was speaking to Jules.
"What?" she said coldly.
"The.. uh.. the chief of Terres Security is here to see you regarding the... disappearances of some of our staff..."
"Send Gren in and then wait five minutes before you let the chief come in."
The woman nodded and left the room as quickly as she had come in. A few moments late Gren entered the room silently and walked over to stand next to Jules, his eyes on the door. Gren already knew what was going to happen in the room. It was the same situation that they had planned for a thousand times over.
Five minutes passed and the Chief of Terres Security walked into the room, alone and with his hat under one arm. Jules offered the man a cordial, but forced, smile and motioned for him to sit down in the chair across the desk from her. The Chief smiled at her and obliged her by taking the offered seat which subsequently made the room shake a bit. The Chief of Terres Security was a big man.
"How may I help you, Chief Branson?"
"Well, Ms. De'moor, I'm sure you know about the disappearances of about forty of your staff. We've been getting calls all day about how they haven't come home on time. We wanted to know if you knew anything about their whereabouts."
"I certainly do know of their whereabouts, Chief Branson."
"Then you can tell me where they are?"
"No, Chief Branson. I'm afraid that I cannot do that. You see, their whereabouts are a secret I would like to keep to myself and if I went and told you where they were I would have to have you killed. So I wont tell you that right now as we speak their bodies are being burned in a large furnace over in one of our factories." She paused for a moment to let what she said sink in. "Whoops, I shouldn't have told you that. Good bye, Chief Branson."
A blaster bolt from Gren's sidearm hit the man right in the forehead. The Chief's head snapped backwards first, and then his whole body slumped forward onto the desk. Jules watched it all happen with a smile. Things were going exactly as planned and now that the Chief of Security was out of the way it was only a matter of time before the planet was hers to control.

The tension in the air was palpable.
Tir had sensed it the moment he had touched down on Terres, an oppressive cloud of anxiety and apprehension that seemed to flow from everywhere and from everyone. Tir Esias was no Sith... he did not derive his power from fear and hatred. He wielded the Force as another sense, as a tool and a guide devoid of emotion. But the atmosphere on Terres was charged and it was easy to understand why some Force Users fueled their powers with the strength of emotion.
Something big was about to happen on Terres. Unlike the majority of the population of Terres, Tir Esias had a good idea what it was going to be.
The luxury landspeeder cruised down the nearly deserted streets of Terres's capital city. Tir had never visited the planet, much less the city, before but he doubted if the atmosphere was so subdued and reserved. He could sense no presences nearby, none of the characteristic frustration of people late for work or blazing joy that so often illuminated playing children. Extending his sense, he could feel faint, depressed auras, tucked away in the buildings that lined the streets.
The landspeeder jolted to a stop, surprising, as it was top of line luxury model. Tir Esias started to rise, but he felt a huge hand touch him lightly on the shoulder, so he sat back down. He heard the door of the landspeeder open, then close quickly.
A moment later the door opened again. Tir stepped out, his black cane at his side.
"Trouble, Qive?"
In a low deep voice, the huge alien replied.
"A little. I took care of it."
There had been a time when Tir would have relied totally on Qive for his personal security. The huge Gen'Dai was a great asset to the Union, and had accompanied Tir on numerous journeys just like this one. He had kept Tir safe from a myriad of dangers, and earned his considerable keep many times over. However, ever since his training under Vodo Baas, Tir had become much more proficient in defending himself. The thug that had tried to delay the landspeeder probably wouldn't have been too much of a problem for Tir to handle. But with Qive, there had been no uncertainty.
Tir's excellent hearing picked up the whispers of some more men, probably the thugs accomplices. The Force told Tir those men were shocked... and more than a little afraid.
"Gentlemen, my name is Tir Esias. I am here to see Mrs. De'Moor."

"Umm.. you mean Ms. De'Moor? She isn't married so she can't be a Mrs..."
The man was more than a little afraid of this huge alien standing before him. He was so terrified that if he didn't have a little more control of himself he might have pissed his pants. Fortunately, he was very aware of the fact that he wasn't the only one around.
"I... I'll let her know you're here.." he squeeked out as he pulled out his comm unit and called inside to the receptionist. He waited for about ten minutes or so before someone responded that he should bring the man up the tower to Ms. De'Moor's office. "If you will follow me."
The guard smiled, in a forced manner, and led the two of them through the main doors to the tower. They passed through the foyer and towards the turbolifts. Entering one, it was up to the second to the last floor in the building. When they stepped out, the door to Ms. De'Moor's office opened and a couple of men carrying a body walked out, bumping into the people exiting the turbolift.
"'Scuse us, gentlemen."
The men with the body moved past the newcomers and into the turbolift. Meanwhile, the guard moved over to the receptionist and spoke a few words with her. She in turn motioned for Tir and his bodyguard to take a seat.
"She'll be right with you, gentlemen. Please take a seat."
* * * * *
"I've never heard of Tir Esias before. Does he come up on any of the lists Gren?"
The man just shook his head and handed her the datapad. The list of people that worked for the government which she had down on her black list did not include a man named Tir Esias. In fact, none of the list of government employees included someone named Tir Esias.
"So he's not from around here. Maybe he's one of fathers business associates or something."
She tapped a finger to her lip and turned away from the window to face the room once more. After pacing back and forth behind the desk for a few moments, she sat down in her chair and let her hands lay on the desk in front of her.
"Gren, assume your usual position. I have no intention of killing this man until I know who he is. Remain on your guard, however."
The man took a few steps over towards her, standing in the same position that he had stood in when they had killed the Chief of Terres security. The mans blood had been completely cleaned off the desk which was now thoroughly pristine. Just like it had been before. Jules pushed a button on her comlink.
"Send the two gentlemen in."

Tir strode into Jule's office, the massive form of Qive right behind him. He positioned his face as to appear as if he was staring directly at Jules, though in truth he was focusing his concentration on the figure behind the last member of the De'Moor family.
"Ms. De'Moore. Allow me to introduce myself and my associate. I am Tir Esias, this is Qive."
Tir put both of his hands atop his solid black cane.
"We represent an organization that is very interested in the current state of Cryon Corp. Things seem a bit tense on Terres these days."
Tir Esias's mouth curled into a grin, but the process was slow and unnatural.
"I had intended to meet with your father, but I have the suspicion that won't be necessary."
Taking a step closer to Jules desk, Tir continued.
"Ms. De'Moor, what are you planning to do in the next 72 hours?"

"What I plan to do in the next 24 hours should be what concerns you. However, what I do in that time frame only concerns me, Gren here, and a handful of other people." She smiled slightly. "Until I'm done anyway. Then it might concern the entire galaxy."
Considering that she didn't know this man, or who he represented for that matter, she had no intention of telling him what her plans entailed. They were meant for only a select few people and she knew better than to tell someone she didn't know. Her plans were precarious enough as it was.
"To tell anyone outside of my circle what I plan to do in the next day would be folley on my part. It would completely ruin anything I had planned."
She leaned back in her chair and eyed the man with a curious expression. Not knowing who this man was concerned her. For that matter she didn't even know what species his companion was. The.. thing.. was a brute. Easily bigger than Gren was though she suspected that Gren would at least give the beast a run for its money.
A slight drumming noise pierced the air as her fingers drummed on the desk with an easily discernable pattern. She didn't know what to make of this man or why he was so interested in the status of Cryon Corporation. So he had come to see her father, that meant little to her. Her father was a so called behemoth in the Corporate world. But he had been weak and now she was his successor.
"Mr. Esias... May I inquire as to who you represent and why exactly you are so intent on learning what I plan? I can understand that the status of Cryon Corporation might concern you when my father was in charge, but I assure you things will be different now that I have taken over."

"On the contrary, Ms De'Moor, I believe that things will be much more interesting now that you have assumed control of this fine company."
Tir turned on his heel, and tapped his cane lightly on the carpeted office floor.
"The Council is expecting you to act. They know you're coming... and they're ready."
Tir fiddled with his cane, holding it horizontally with both hands.
"Once you're plot fails, they will arrest you. All they need is the hard evidence that you have so far managed to incinerate."
Tir slowly turned, completing his about face.
"Your only hope lies with me... and my associates."

"Is that so? I think you'll find that I am more resourceful than you believe."
Jules chuckled slightly. This man distinctly interested her because of the audacity of what he had to say. He was by far the most different person that she had ever met. Though, she had the feeling that he was more like her than she wanted to believe.
"I have more than one plan of action available to me. More than more than one if I want to exaggerate enough. You underestimate the power of the military force that I have at my disposal."
She tapped a finger against her chin, and then lifted her other hand and clicked her fingers. Moments later someone appeared out of the shadows and handed her a glass of clear liquid. It was water, her second favorite drink. Her first was Corellian Fire Whiskey.
"You interest me with the audacity that you have to come up here and tell me what will and what won't work. What particularly interests me is your beliefe that without you I will not be able to go through with my plan."
A slight smile graced her lips.
"I am interested in hearing why and how you can help us."
