Dakkon looked around to see some of his wifes retainers watching him closely. The others flocked around like mother hens preparing the others for the arrival of their Queen and Ruler. Dakkon turned back and flashed her a perfect smile.

"I'm sure this will give their little minds something to gossip about to the other Royal retainers.

They do tend to do that, and Dakkon is fine for now.

So, might i ask what your grand self has been up to?"

Jai scoffed at Dak's groupies before giveing him a reply.

"My grand self?", she laughed at the phrase. "Well, not much. Smuggling, of course, but that's nothing new. I am Co-owner and CEO of a big company now though. Uni-Sol, we call it. Smuggler's Paradise, of sorts...it's really just a big playground for me. You ought to pay us a visit sometime out on Ord Pardron, Dakkon."

Dakkon smiled as Jai spoke, listening intently.

"I would like to, i assure you. Maintaining friendly relations with the biggest smuggling group in the galaxy would be truly an excellent idea, although i'm sure i would be henpecked by those hovering crones should i mention the idea!

Remember, officially in Hapes, men still have very little power. The rebellion changed that, i am the first ever male monarch, and that was only for the interum until i found a new wife.

I'm sure you would have been a model woman back in the Lorell Raiders times!"

"Me? Now your just being a flirt, Dakkon. I ought to tell on you, ya know...", she whispered the next part so only Dak could hear, "but just for fun and for the sake a being single, I'll play along...but just this one time."

She laughed softly and smirked, crossing her arms across her chest. "Model woman indeed, Prince Darksword? Your compliments never stop, Your Highness, much like your handsome qualities."

Dakkon laughed silently at Jainas playfulness.

"Thank you Jaina, your discretion is always welcomed!

Unlike yourself, my looks were just in the genes... Its well known all Hapans are attractive, i find myself no moreso than any other!"

A waiter walked passed, and Dakkon quickly took two Royal Hapan Champeignes from his tray.

"Care for a drink?"

This only made Jai blush. Dak was saying that he was plain (by Hapan standards) and that she was beautiful (by everyone's standards)...? Surely the poor man needed glasses or something.

"Love to.", Jai said, takeing the offered flute of champeigne. She took a tiny sip, inwardly snickering that he had offered her a drink. She was only 18 and, by all galactic laws, still underage for drinking.
She thought she'd be suavve and sophisticated like Dakkon and the other older guests and drink like they did, but as she put the drink to her lips, the bubbles tickled her nose and she giggled before she could take a sip.

Dakkon smiled again as she blushed, noting she did not yet seem comfortable around alcohol. He sipped his drink before seeing her struggle with the champeigne. Laughing, he spoke.

"Its best to just hold your breath as you drink it! I've always been more of a Tequila man myself, as was Vessana. That was how we got together actually..."

He trailed off, seeking a happier train of thought.

"So are you enjoying yourself? Or are you still awaiting your date?"

Jai gave up on the drink and simply held it, hopeing it made her look older and more mature than she was.

"My date? Oh, I don't have a date...Like I said, I'm quite single. A new development, but one that I'm getting use to quickly."

She swirled the drink around the in the flute for a moment and sighed as she looked down into it. She paused for a moment and seemed to shake a thought, then looked back up at Dakkon with her same bright smile. "But, can't change the past, eh? Only get over and learn from it. Bah, but enough about that, this is a party all about new things, new beginnings. Speaking of which, where's this new wife of yours?"

Dakkon nodded, then turned to look up the stairs where Jasmines entourage were camped. He shook his head before turning back.

"Of that, i am not sure. She shall not be long. I hope anyway, any more waiting and her retainers will have a fit!"

"Well," Jai replied, following Dak's gaze, "the natives certainly are restless. They'll start a riot any moment." She smirked a bit and ribbed Dakkon slightly, an all too bright sign that she was not use to hanging around royalty and that she was certainly not a noblewoman at all. But it was all in good fun, Jai thought Hapans were too up tight and that a few minutes with a laid-back Solo would do them all a world of good.

"How do you stand those groupies? I'd go crazy and shoot the whole lot of them, following and spying on me like that all the time."
