Branching Out (Closed)

"A lightsaber stolen only proves your a thieving b astard." Coldly eyeing the man in front of her, Chiisai found him an insufferable bore. She certainly didn't like the looks of him, she found his size bulky instead of muscler and she detested men who grew their hair long. No matter that he was a good looking man, he was her kidnapper and he was forcing her to be somewhere she didn't wish, while containing her in a place far beneath her station. The latter was far worse than anything else, as Chiisai clung to her dignity with an iron grip. It was the thought that this man could cause her to loose some which made her determined to despise him with every ounce she was capable of.

Which, despite her tiny size, was quite alot.

"Honey, I never said I was otherwise." Grinning cheekily, Arawn winked and amused himself with the image of Kyoufu slowly feezing deeper into a block of ice. It was mildly amusing, you could almost watch her grow more haughty by the moment. No wonder she stepped into the role of Hapan Queen Mother rather seamlessly. Well, except for all that propaganda that proclaimed the Hapan citizens were rioting against her while the actual Hapans stood around and scratched their head about that. "Alright ladies, time to get moving. Your new quarters will have lots more room than this."

What Arawn left unsaid was they could monitor them alot better as well. He'd thought it a good idea, as two prisoners could plot things that one couldn't. If he had the room, he'd split them up, but the Celtico wasn't equiped for large crews and her cargo hold was depressurized. With him and three crew members he had no where large enough for two other than his own cabin, which he'd just set Portus to clear out. The young man should be finished by now. Even though Arawn had his doubts about Portus' intelligence, the lad was a hard worker.

Ushering his captives out of their former cell, Arawn walked behind them, blaster drawn, as he directed them the short distance to his cabin. With his weapon out, he hoped he was showing Kyoufu that he really meant business and wasn't about to take any of her famous aggression. When Miria had came to him with the idea of kidnapping this tiny piece of royalty, he'd told her to get lost. Then the Celtico had blow a power converter three days in a row, and he'd done some serious rethinking. Then he'd done some recon. He'd avoided the gossip mongers and gone for the real source of knowledge around town.

Arawn just asked the servants.

That's where he'd learned Kyoufu was unpredictable, surprisingly strong for her size, dead accurate when throwing anything breakable, and a biter. In fact, he'd been warned in no uncertain terms that she fought dirty. So he wasn't taking any chances.

Once they reached the room, he walked in behind them, glad to see Portus had cleared it of his belongings. He'd be bunking with him and Decarlen in an already cramped bulkhead but it couldn't be help. Not unless he took Miria up on her offer of sharing, but Arawn just didn't feel comfortable with that. Not that Miria wasn't worth the trouble, they'd had a thing a few years ago, but he just felt the need to step back this time. She seemed to eager for him to accept, some how.

"Well, ladies, welcome to your new abode."

Looking about the room they'd just been escorted to, Damalis figured out quite easily that this was the captain’s suite. She’d already realized that this Celtico was a small vessel, probably a freighter but she didn’t have a clue to what the make or model was. The best she could do was remember the name painted on the side and hope that when they got free it would help the authorities catch their kidnappers. Of course, Damalis was fully aware that they might not get out of this alive, but the less she thought about that, the happier she was.

Her eyes lighting upon a small screen in the back of the room, the blond frowned, then blinked when she realized what she was seeing. There was vid camera’s here and now that she noticed the one, she could see other’s placed about the room.

“We’re going to be filmed?”

Instantly Chiisai’s hackles rose. The indignities kept mounting and this one seemed like the worst yet. She could handle being kidnapped, she could deal with being forced to march around like a fool slave, but being filmed? It stung even more so because she knew there was nothing she could say to get them removed now that the vids were there. She knew it made perfect sense to keep such a close watch on prisoners, especially those worth credits, but being on the receiving end of that idea wasn’t where Chiisai liked to be at all.

Narrowing her eyes, she began to plot a way to disable them. If the state of this ship was any clue, this captain didn’t have the resources to keep repairing cameras like those and she’d be damned if she wasn’t going to do her best to be a right pain in his ass.

“Afraid so, ladies. Best way to keep an eye on you. So no plotting dastardly deeds, or tearing up the interior. If you get too rowdy, I’ll just have to gas you to sleep.” Knowing he’d surprised them with that, Arawn felt a little ashamed for doing such a thing to two almost harmless people, but again, he wasn’t taking any chances. Kyoufu was a brat and a brawler, but it didn’t mean he had to take such measures from her. It would be less stressful all the way around if he went ahead and did it, but Miria could only secure them one kind of gas. The bloody stuff had to be used precisely or you could accidentally kill the person it was used on and with the difference in size and weight of these two, he could never use it.

But he didn’t have to let them know that. “You’ll notice the air ducts. The gas can be easily sent down any of them, so I would certainly behave myself or you’ll wake up weeks from now with no idea what’s been done to you in the mean time.” Noticing Kyoufu’s particularly rebellious look, he slowly smiled and, as he exited, calmly commented. “I mean, seriously, someone could shave every last bit of your hair off and you wouldn’t even know about it.”

With a satisfying sound, the doors shut behind him, securely locking in place. The Celtico may have her problems, but she had damned good doors.

The man’s parting comment had certainly taken root in Chiisai’s mind. Her hair was a particularly vain streak of her’s, the blue black sheath hung in a thick curtain to just below the cheeks of her rear, and the thought that someone could cut it off without her even knowing it certainly put a pause in her plans. Of course, he could just be bluffing, but there was no real cause to test him.

Slowly stroking the hair that hung over her shoulder, the former Hapan Queen debated what to do next. She wasn’t about to do anything to the cameras now, or, at least not while the idea of gassing them was so fresh in the man’s mind. Given time, Chiisai was more than certain she could come up with something truly befitting of what the people on this ship deserved for kidnapping her.
