[i]Fliping a few preignition switches he listened to the engines as they reved to life, the hoverplate below his pod activating for that additional burst of speed cuased by less friction from the start. A statistical readout played on a small vid below his chin, micro-systems checks.

Turing to face his pit he raised a glorious thumb to the crowd, a long tale symbol of his victory. Grining to himself as the cheers grew wild he straped himself down and glared down the begining of the track, ready to fly...

Rif hit the three green buttons on his dash board that turned on all systems. He secured his crash helmet and prepped the airbag.

Then, hot Tattoine wind whipping around him, he reached out for the two main controls. His gloved hands slipped easily into place on the custom built handle-bars and he tensed his entire frame.

Slowly, he revved his engine and sized up the competition. His speedy vehicle, Steady, would be able to pull ahead quickly if he cut ahead of Vondarich and Krensher to take the inside lane. His schematics showed that they were driving slower vehicals then him, and he should be able to pull ahead fast with alittle bit of a jumpstart. Vondaric's pod, though, would be harder to overtake.

The other racers he cared little for; so long as he could stay ahead his only concern would be dodging obstacles.

With all the confidence of an Azguard on a sure thing, he prepared to pull ahead...

Kamon flipped the ignition switch, and the engines started up. The ship was light, nimble, and very fast. He was going to do good. Sebulba could eat some tail feathers.

He looked to his crew and gave them the thumbs up. The crew chief nodded, and Kamon lowered his visor. It was time for the serious business.

Ebe Endocott. He knew this track well from previous experiences. He has raced here many times in the past. The only thin he feared was Selbulba, the only one he knew at the track. With the strength of endurance, he could outlast the long tatooine track. He was center spot.

Ebe flipped the few sitches he had, pushed in the button and his pod roared to life. He flipped down his goggles and readied himself for the take off. He grabbed a hold of the blue steering column, which you had to twist to control, and reved the engines. But with his face, intimidation wasn't his best point.

And with the green light they’re off!

The newcomer Rif has taken the lead in an incredible explosion of speed! He’s pulled several lengths ahead of the other racers; you can bet they won’t let that last long.

Rif in the lead, Kresher and that Vondiranach are tied for second. The pack behind them is tight, everyone fighting for position.

Rif is lucky to get ahead in the beginning, I’m sure he is very happy to be first. The great dust lake approaches, being in front he will have clear sailing. I pity the being who does not slow down, and try to stay on the track.

OH! It looks like Grnk’s left engine has DIED! He’s slowing down, attempting to restart. If you placed a bet on Grnk I would attempt to get your money back!

Rif was in the lead. He clung to the handle holds like they were the only thing keeping him on this world.

Desperatly he gunned the engine, and, eyes peeled, watched for the course.

His people used to have large, membrenous wings, and were known for their love of insane speed and death-defying maneauvers. His eyes worked faster then most machines, analyzing the road ahead and keeping the best balance of speed and staying on track that he could.

But, as he rode, he was also checking his rear view monitor. If the other caught up, he would do his best to block him with his pod, until of course it became too risky to stick around.

Facing grimly ahead, he rode on.

[i]Leaning down and forward into the plasteel guard screen he squinted through the mass of Dust Rif was kicking up in his wake. He reved his engines continously, preventing his turbines from collecting too much dirt and cloging them up. Brining his thrust to an optimal solution he brought his engines twisting axel to life, spining them around to kick up even more dust for anyone behind him as he made his way up to bump up to Rif's rear, a position that would give off less dust than elsewhere...

Kamon stayed side by side with Kresher. He also made an attempt to move up behind Rif. He kept the dust from clogging his pod's engines by lowering a special filtering system into place.

He looked over at Kresher and saw that he was attempting to keep the dust out of his engines. He was doing it the hard way. Kamon turned back to the course. His eyes on Rif.

<span style="font-family:helvetica; color:yellow;">The lights flashed, and he gunned his engines

Ebe knew he wouldn't getting the lead. His didn't have much of a take-off compared to other pods. He could see Vondiranach and kresher ahead of him, both edging for second position. They were tied. As the two pods in front of him battled for the second position, there was no way around.

He then saw an opening between them and gunned his engines to full power. He attempted to pull up in front of them, behind the dust storm that Rif was kicking up.
