That was it Jon knew if he caught this man he wouldn't be recieving orders. He shot two droids that appeared older than himself. He motioned his men to go ahead of him a little and they did. They reported that there were only six supers, two pilots, and a man that appeared to be in his mid 50s.

Jon ran out took out 2 supers and a pilot. When he did, the only pilot ran with the man into a Lamda-class transport. Jon quickly rushed towards it and ordered his men to provide cover. He got in to the shuttle in time and shot the pilot just as the other man puched him.

Jon didn't feel it, but the man did. His fist looked disgusting. Just as the man was looking at his wound Jon took him with him and reported to Second Lieutenant Fuller that they captured someone.

The earth shook as the durasteel blast doors ripped open from the explosives. Most observers would only see dust; Dust from the ground, from the doors, from the floors. But the Kashan troops saw everything perfectly clear through their helmets, courtesy of the image filtering system.

With the door in ruins, Second Lieutenant Fuller led the Kashan charge through the now-blasted doorway. The dust had engulfed that room as well, leaving its occupants incapacitated, gasping for air in the dust storm. Kashan troopers had little difficulty with the dust due to their breathing filters. Thus, the Coalition men overwhelmed with their opponents. As the dust settled to the ground, the troopers gathered up the paramilitary guards, but also a few of the clones in the orange prison suits. Fuller paused for a second as his comlink went off from Jon.

“Yes Theta Four? Very good. Bring him over to me. We have things to discuss. Fuller out.”

It was true that Black Sun had dissolved long ago, dividing into several petty factions fighting for control of the organisations little remaining resources in hopes they could rebuild Black Sun with themselves on top. Eventually this Brushware had subsided, and the galaxies populace had assumed that Black Sun had destroyed itself.

But nothing could be further from the truth.

In fact, a distant cousin of the late Prince Xizor and his niece Savan, Prince Gorma, began to rebuild the organisation. The closest surviving relative of the Black Suns last successful Overlord, he was welcomed back with open arms and pocketbooks by the more rational Black Sun Lieutenant's. Together, they hunted down and destroyed the remaining factions competing for a slice of the organisations resources.

And with this the new Black Sun, far more secretive than the old one, was founded and began to rebuild.

Now the organisation had a sizable fleet, a large hunk of it purchased by the Union, who Gorma had chosen to join. It's resources, while nowhere near the pre-Endor Black Sun levels, are still single, and as large as any other major syndicate or Criminal organisation in the galaxy. However, as expansive as they are, Gorma is not one to play games. He is fiercely protective of all that he considers his and his organisations, and he will not let them slip from his grasp without a fight.

Genon was no exception.

After the original breakup of Black Sun, Genon had been abandoned. While a valuable underworld and black market gem, Grappa the Hutt, the planets controller, wanted nothing to do with the petty brushwar its divided factions were fighting, and fought of several invasion fleets with a combination of mercenary and hutt forces. After this Genon was left strictly alone.

But with the war over, Grappa welcomed the rebuilt Black Sun back. His profits had taken a sharp drop since he'd quit doing business with them and he was eager to gain that money back.

Unofficially back in control of the planet, Black Sun was unfortunately unable to provide substantial capital ship defenses for the planet due to its fleet being spread out at the time of the planets "reacquisition," and the lack of defenses for it had slipped the mind of whoever was in charge of managing Black Sun operations in the sector.

A little late to the party, a trio of Vendetta-class Battlecruisers entered the system, sent by Black Sun to remove these aggressors. There were more ships ready to reinforce them at nearby star systems, but since opposition was only a few cruisers and star fighters it was decided to send the three scarce Vendettas alotted to them in first, and then call for reinforcements as needed.

Vigo Green, a human who had lived the first thirty years of his life smuggling in the Corporate sector was in charge of the task force. He had proven himself a clever and witty criminal, and was the perfect man to spread Black Sun influence throughout the lower regions of the Black Dragon Empire and Coalition Teth providence.

He was a proud man. Proud of his roots and that he had succeeded where others had failed. Not the type to go rushing blindly into combat, he preferred to scout around first, gather intelligence on his enemy, and outwit his opponents in combat. Not surprisingly, his battle group reverted to real space with there VIGO systems active, hiding their weaponry from prying Coalition eyes and Deceiver Shield Maskers on, hiding their military grade shields until it was too late.

As far as any opponent was concerned, they were just a trio of super-bulk freighters on a supply run.

OOC: BTW, the person to blame is Kach! This is my Union account that I"m never on, so if you want to tell me something PM Kach and not gorma, beacasue it'sll be weeks before I see it, maybe months.

Toodles.

“Captain, several superfreighters have entered the system.”

Corise’s eyes narrowed. On any system with a populace numbering in the thousands, the Kashan man would have barely noticed their arrival. But several superfreighters of that size arriving at Genon was another thing altogether. First, at its zenith, Genon had a sentinent population that only ranged in the hundreds; for supply reasons, the most it would take would be a single superfreighter, not three. The presence of three of those freighters suggested that there was more to the planet that met the eye and the last Coalition intelligence reports. As well, the only freighters visiting Genon would be for its populace, which consisted solely of criminals. Thus, Corise could assume that the freighters were aligned with a criminal faction of some sort.

“That’s not right. Flight Control, redirect a squadron of Deathsabers to do a quick flyby and see if they can find anything about those freighters,” ordered Corise, “Communications, signal Task Force Seraph that they’re needed here now. Tell them that we need their troops to conduct a boarding operation to make sure that the freighters are legit.”

The Kashan commodore’s planning based on Coalition intelligence suggested that he only needed a few cruisers to mop up the planet. Particularly because he didn’t want to attract any more attention, he had coordinated the effort to clean Genon with the main Coalition military, thus the use of the Haven-class Light Cruisers as the main fleet. However, most military commanders knew that not everything went as planned, thus, it was always a good idea to have a back-up plan. Thus, he had had Task Force Seraph, consisting of the Seraph Mk II-class cruisers, stationed just outside the system. Now, courtesy of their x0.6 hyperdrives, the cruisers would be arriving in a manner of minutes.

“Open up a communications line with those freighters.”

The comms officer nodded.

“Unidentified freighters, you are now operating in a restricted area. Heave to and power down immediately for inspection. If you move at all, we will consider it to be an act of war. Declare your intentions immediately.”

Corise turned to the weapons officer. “Power up all weapons and train them on their bridges. Let’s let them know that we’re serious about it.”

An officer handed him a datapad…

"We have captured some mysterious man. We believe he is some leader.Yes sir!"replied Jon speaking via comlink.Jon motioned to his men to follow and they entered the dark corridor."Sir."asked one of jon's men."Yes,"replied Jon."This man, he needs medical attention! Permission to stop and take care of him, sir?"requested the trooper.

Jon looked at the man with his greying blac hair and smug face."Permission not granted trooper!"Jon said."Come on men. We are to meet up with Lieutenant Fuller! We must and will pick up pace and no more will we stop!"They started to turn around right when a blaster bolt hit Jon. It didn't hurt Jon, but it would hurt the shooter in a minute! Jon ordered the men to shoot at the sniper, but he shot at Jon again and missed Jon shot at the snipe droid and the droid fell off the shelf.

"Hurry the Lieutenant is expecting us!"said Jon as he started to move towards thee way they came in.

*12 minutes later*

There is Fuller he is walking towards me. I hope this is good!

"Realspace reversion in six... five... four... three... two... one... zero..." the automated countdown spoke over the comm.

Outside, the blue fires of Hyperspace dissipated around the Vendetta-class Battle cruiser Gorgon and her two identical companions, the Basilisk and Manticor.

"Make sure the Deceiver shield masker is up," Green ordered the bustling bridge crew of mercenary aliens surrounding him, "Make sure all our weapons are also withdrawn into the hull."

"They are as you said," the ships captain replied, a male Twi'lek who hunched over in front of Green as if he was beaten regularly. His voice was tainted with fear of the man who he knew could have him killed at any time.

Of course, Green wouldn't do that. He wasn't quite that cruel, though he'd killed his fare share of gutter scum, and more importantly, Mesh was a good Captain who knew and used all of his ships strengths and weaknesses.

That's Twi'leks for you, Green thought to himself, More scared than sensible.

With a screech, the bridge Klaxons began wailing, and a red signal light began glowing.

"Sir," one of the sensor technicians shouted out to him, "Bogey's ahead!"

Looking up at the status monitor in the bridges center, he could see a trio of ships, tags identifying them as light cruisers. They were colored gray, meaning they were unidentified. Around the planet, pulling away from the three Super freighters and the unidentified ships were dozens of tiny gold dots, freighters and shuttles belonging to third, neutral parties.

"Identify those ships at once, I want to know what we're facing!" he called out to the three techs in the forward crew pit.

"It's coming in now, sir," one called back, an Aqualish female. "Those ships are so old that the computer stuck them way back on the identify priority list and..."

"Spare me the lecture," he shouted at her, "Just tell me what they are!"

"Of course, sir. They're Haven-class light cruisers, broadcasting as Coalition ships."

"So they want to get involved with Black Sun, well, we'll show them. Get the Star Vipers and Blastboats ready to launch, double check the shield maskers are up and showing them only normal strength shields, we don't want them to know just how strong they are, and that the VIGO is fully deployed, we don't want them to see all the weapons that have been packed into this thing. And get me a visual line to their commander. I want to speak to him face to face."

"Yes sir," a Rodian communication specialist told him, "You have your line to him now."

In the center of the bridge, a blue figure appeared across from the Vendettas own visual transmission pad. The man was about average size for a human, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but when Green stood up on the Vendettas pad it was clear that in a fight Green would have no problem taking him on. A six foot four block of solid muscle, he could pulverize the man without working up a sweat. But to make sure his opponent wasn't intimidated he hunched down a little and bent his spine over, making him look submissive.

"Captain Abel Quiller of the Xizor Transport Systems Superfreighter AA-798 Vertigo at your service, Mr..."

"Lucerne," Green's contemporary spoke.

From the comm station behind them came a booming voice, "Unidentified freighters, you are now operating in a restricted area. Heave to and power down immediately for inspection. If you move at all, we will consider it to be an act of war. Declare your intentions immediately. Repeating..."

"We will move next to your fleet and power down for inspection, but I do request that you make it quick. I have to deliver my load of droids to my client as soon as possible, as waiting will not make him a very happy customer."

Slowly, the mammoth disguised warships came to a halt next to the three Havens.

"The forward hanger bay is ready to receive your inspectors, Mr. Lucerne, your boarding party is free to come aboard immediately. I will have a reception committee consisting of my Commander and aids meet your men there."

"Very good. Your assistance will be remembered in the future." The image disappeared as the man severed the line.

"Sir," one of the aids called, we've found something you'll want to know about. Our sensor suits have detected very faint ion trails. They disperse rapidly, but they're definitely there. Probably a byproduct of some cloaked ship."

"Probably the remains of some long dispersed Nebula or freighters drive trails."

"No sir, they're definitely being created as we speak. A piece of space is empty one second and the next the trail appears there as the ship passes through."

"Alright. Can our Starfighters detect the trails?"

"Yes sir, but since their sensor suits are less powerful they can only detect them in one swath of space at a time."

"Alright, here's what I want you to do. I want you to set up a data transfer line between our ships sensors and our fighters and blastboats sensors. That way..."

"Yes sir, that way they'll have the locations on all the targets around them."

She looked down at her console, clicked a few things on the touch screen, then typed something in. "It's done sir, the sensor link."

"Good. Now just sit back and get ready for war."

Corise stared out of the Warspite’s viewport as the massive freighters approached the Coalition vessels. It troubled him; he had declared that it would be act of war to simply move, and they did; closer to his ships. They had just violated his warning.

"The forward hanger bay is ready to receive your inspectors, Mr. Lucerne, your boarding party is free to come aboard immediately. I will have a reception committee consisting of my Commander and aids meet your men there."

If this was a normal inspection run at a planet with a reasonable amount of inhabitants, he would guess that they weren’t paying close attention to his message or being overly complaint. He was caught between staying to his word and firing upon the said vessels or actually giving them a chance. The commodore frowned, frustrated with what to do. The Deathsabers had turned up nothing thus far. But that didn’t mean for sure that the freighters were clean. How many smugglers and other criminals had developed ways special smuggling holds and methods to disguise their cargo? Far too many, at least in Corise’s opinion. He folded his arms.

“Sir? What are your orders?”

“How long until Task Force Seraph arrives?”

“They’re still several minutes away.”

“A freighter that size must have a sizeable crew. It may be fine, but what if it’s a trap? If any of us board the craft, we are suspect to their larger numbers, and thus we easily suspect to capture or death,” sighed the Kashan officer.

“The sensor scans of the vessel were clean.”

“That’s one thing. I think we all know something about technology that defeats sensors,” stated the officer, referring to the Kashan Stealth Starfighters.

“Once the Seraphs are in system, we’ll have the manpower to fully inspect those vessels safely.”

“But until then?”

“We send them an initial boarding party. Get me a line to the freighters.”

“Aye sir.”

The communication’s frequency opened between the two ships.

“Captain Vigo, I appreciate your co-operation with our efforts. I will be sending a shuttle shortly to each of your vessels with a crew of inspectors. We will be quick, as we do not wish to delay you any further. Lucerne out.”

The communications line shut off. As the Kashan Commodore spoke, a T-4A Lambda-class Shuttles onboard each of the Haven-class Cruisers was being boarded by a total of 24 Kashan Shock Troopers. That would leave a single squad to inspect each freighter. All of the shuttles had been assigned an escort of a flight of Deathsabers that would take them up to the hangar. Not wanting to reveal their presence yet, the starfighters would not actually enter the hangar bay or put themselves in any situation that had the risk to be spotted by any of the freighter’s inhabitants. Unlike many officers, Corise did not put caution to the wind.

“Communications, patch our systems to receive continuous datafeed from the boarding units, both shuttles and troopers.”

“What are you expecting?”

“They might think that since we let them this close, they might be in a lull of security. Thus, if they are overconfident, the shuttles sensors might be able to notice that as they near the ships. Once the troops are in, the live visual and audio from the trooper’s helmts might reveal some information to our analysts.”

“Yes sir.”

“Status of Task Force Seraph?”

“They’ll arrive approximately a minute or so after the boarding crews are scheduled to land in the hangar.”

“Very good. The presence of the Seraphs might force the freighters to flee if they are actually hiding something. As such, keep the crews and our ships ready for pursuit. They might have concealed weapons of some sort as well, like so many smuggler raft before them. As such, the Havens will remain fully powered up and ready for combat.”

“Yes sir.”

Grappa’s former facility, Genon

“Ah, Theta Four,” motioned Second Lieutenant Fuller to Jon, the younger trooper, “Well done. Kindly hand over that prisoner to the Coalition Intelligence Agents over there after we’re done talking. Thanks. As you know by now, we’ve seemed to have stumbled on a cloning facility of some sort. We’ve taken several of those cloning areas now, and have begun to equip those clone prisoners with stun weapons confiscated from the guards; I don’t trust them with normal blasters yet. Aside from the men already assigned to you, I’m placing you in control of three of the clone squads. According to our sensors, there is only one section left of the facility that is not under our control. You will be participating in that area’s takeover along with several other Kashan and clone squads. Any questions?”

"Mesh," Green said, addressing the Gorgon's captain, "Undeploy the VIGO system, and launch fighters. Also, better call in a pair of backup cruisers."

"Of course, my liege," he replied, glaring at a trio of lieutenants who had heard Green's orders. They bustled off and began shouting orders to the respective sections they commanded.

It took seven seconds for the highly encrypted transmission to be sent to call in a pair of Cruisers.

It took twelve seconds for the first of the three Vendettas total of 144 fighters to begin launching, though Mesh only planned on launching half of them.

It took ten seconds for the VIGO system to finish deploying and the Military-Grade Reactor to come online.

Ah, Green thought to himself, If only I could see the look on Mr. Lucerne's face right now. Watching a trio of lightly armed Super freighters transform into a trio of heavily armed warships.

Green knew he had caught his enemy off guard, but this advantage would only last for a moment. But he wasn't one who wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of an opportunity. His personal philosophy of taking advantage of situations was the same a an ancient phrase from our old time line written by Sun Tzu, Opportunities multiply as they are seized.

"Open Fire!" he shouted, his eyes bloodshot with fury.

And suddenly a whithering hail of fire tore out from the Gorgon, Basilisk, and Mantacors combined 264 Turbo lasers and Ion Cannons, a salvo of twenty Proton Torpedoes hot on their tails. At the same time, their 126 Heavy lasers began opening up on the formation of nearly invisible fighters and the recently disembarked shuttles.

"Oh, we'll be happy to help you, Mr. Lucerne," Green spoke softly to himself, but his voice full of fury. "Help you die. You, and your crew, and your damned takeover of Genon. You will regret the day to trifled with the Black Sun."

There was some irony in that instead of the freighters running from the confrontation like he had expected, the three Haven-class cruisers were. Because the shuttles had been scanning over the Vendettas, the freighter’s true nature was revealed the second the weapons started to pull out. The inspection parties immediately scattered with mixe results. Being somewhat slow and large, the shuttles were destroyed. However, the Deathsabers only took glancing hits because of their inherent stealthy nature and as they were fleeing from the battlecruisers. Simultaneously, the Havens had begun to retreat out of turbolaser firing range. Thus, the Coalition capital ships were only under the heavy fire of the more massive vessels for seconds.

“Flight Control, have our starfighters pick off those warheads coming at us. Weapons, tertiary targets are the StarVipers.”

The Vendetta’s bolts hit the sturdy shields of the Haven. Red turbolaser bolts from the Havens answered those, but instead tried to hit the Starvipers. Starvipers were dangerous enemies, being good all-around. However, there was a serious flaw to the design: their front profile was massive. While it was only seven meters long, the cross-diagonal of the craft with its S-foils extended neared twenty meters. Thus, it was much easier for the Haven’s gunners to hit the craft with their heavier weaponry. Still, for the most part, the StarVipers dodged most of the shots. Those that hit were mere glancing blows on the shields.

The Havens were fast vessels, soon passing the firing range of beam weaponry, thus limiting the opportunity for either side to damage an opposing craft with typical turbolasers and ion cannons. Meanwhile, the proton torpedoes targeting the cruisers had mostly been eliminated by squadrons of Deathsabers assigned to screen the cruisers. Still some did manage to pass that precaution and hit the Coalition vessels. One of the Havens was hit rather badly, it's engines significantly damaged. The other two cruisers were more luckly, recieving damage only to their shields as they escaped. However, they were already regaining their former strength.

“Task Force Seraph is entering the area.”

Roughly 200 kilometers away from the Vendettas, four Seraph cruisers dropped out of hyperspace from Kashan, which was nearby to Genon. The Seraph, Steadfast, Resolute, and Redoubtable were the same ships that had earlier fought against several TNO ships. If the held their own against the Imperial heavy cruisers, there was little reason why they could not perform a similar feat now. At that distance, the Seraphs’ long-range weaponry could attack the Vendettas while remaining out of their opponent’s firing range. The cruisers launched their full fighter complement in a typical starfighter screen.

“Helm, take us behind our cruisers. Instructions to all capital ships are to stay out of the Vendettas firing range.”

“Aye sir.”

Following those instructions insured that the Kashan vessels would receive at most minimal damage. And luckily for his cruisers, they were all faster than the battlecruisers as well, ensuring that their opponent would not be able to close the distance.

The exception to that was the Warspite, the heavily damaged Haven-class. Orders had already been sent to get the cruiser's engines operational, which would take minutes with most of that ship's move. Still, even then, the engines would be fairly weak, albeit with an operational hyperdrive. Even then, most of the Warspite's weaponry was inoperational due to its damage. Thus, it was next to useless on the actual battlefield.

Corise stared out into space at the distant Vendettas. "This might be harder than we thought."

Seeing the Superfreighters suddenly transform into a trio of Battleships, the Havens began to power up their drives and charge away. They would only be within the Vendettas 50 Kilometer range for about fifteen seconds, but that was far more than enough. Horribly outgunned, the Havens probably couldn't last even that long.

Not even stopping to launch a salvo of turbolasers at the Black Sun ships, which would drain power from their drives, they began tearing away from the Battlecruisers. At the same time, Starviper Assault Starfighters began to launch from the Vendettas hangers, ready to pursue the enemy flotilla if called to.

The Vendettas fired at the Havens again and again. About thirty kilometers out, one Haven, a battered one that had doubtlessly seen many battles, lost all its shield power and had it's drives destroyed right out from under it. Using it's remaining momentum, it managed to reach the rear of the Seraphs lines before braking.

Against all odds the other two Havens, including the leaders, managed to reach the newly arrived Coalition ships.

But other than the brief thought that gave him the idea and had him order his crew to pick up damaged enemy fighters, Green didn't have much time to think about that.

He was concentraiting on a formation of blips approaching his ships in hyperspace.

The thing about ships in hyperspace is that they can't just jump right to their targets, they have to exit hyperspace outside a gravity well or they'll be destroyed by their targets mass shadow or, if in planetary orbit, the mass shadow of the planet.

This also applies to hyper drive equipped missiles.

They left hyperspace approximately six kilometers from the Vendettas.

With the Manticor behind the Basilisk from their angle of approach, only fire from the Basilisk and Gorgons weaponry could hit the incoming Starflares. And with the threat finally in realspace, they opened fire. Heavy laser and Medium Turbolaser bolts shot out towards the thirty six missiles, some striking home but many not. As they flew through the dogfight, several Starvipers pulled onto their tails and began firing on them as well, blowing many apart with shots to their unarmored aft side.

Approximately six managed to reach the one kilometer mark.

Here they were met by laser cannon fire from reserve batteries at nearly point blank range, as well as flak shots from Turbolasers. It was a whithering hail of fire, and even with their heavily reinforced nose only one managed to slip through- one of the Electrocrystal tipped ones. It smashed into the shields, tearing them down but not managing to slip through them.

But Greens mind had already turned away from that threat. The shields would recharge, until then he'd be fine. He was now concentraiting on the formation two hundred kilometers away.
