Alone in the Darkness...(open to anyone.)

Athena had taken a trip to the planet of Gurqi. She knew it was owned but the Imperials but she was there under a different name then anyone had ever known her as. She had given a name she was born with... Jyanna Palin. Everyone had either heard of Athena Somir or at least Diete Somir, her beloved. She was indeed in need of a slight trip. Her time within TCE had started to get to her. And with her husband tending to other matters she walked and thought. The darkness swirled around her and her very being was consumed within anger and rage. She was born of the darkness and even within the time she had studied and learned the Dark Arts. Something about her changed. Once she finally made the rank of Sith Master, her violet eyes shimmered dull and faded into a crisp Marcasite. The blue green waters of the planet drifted onto the shores and across her feet.

She was not armed this time. She had left her weapons in her ship that she landed back in the east landing pad. Finally taking a seat in the sand she looked out and using the force she made different figures in the water that was lifted over the ocean.

Something was going to need to happen. A death or something new in her life. With not a soul in need of her anymore she only had the darkness. The accomplished Sith witch and Sith Master had not attacked or killed in a long time. But seeing how she was on Imperial planet she was not going to get the chance now anyway.

So as the sun set into the waters she sat there Alone in the Darkness.

A lone dark figure moved silently down the beach. Cloaked in darkness, a darkness which seemed to radiate around him in an endless void which captured the light. Even now, from the distance, his power could easily be felt by the Sith Master he strode slowly towards. Surely he would seem familiar to her, but not quite.. the same.

He moved at a steady pace, slowly striding one foot before the other. His face completely shrouded, his form seeming to ripple past any who may have been looking in his direction. Finally, he reached the woman. Stopping before her, he did not speak.

She didn't even need to look up. She felt him the moment he landed on the planet. She could feel him even more as he got closer. 45 meters, 30, 15, finally he was standing before her. Something was indeed different about the man she had married so long ago.

" I thought you were not going to be able to join me this week? "

He had told her of a few 'things' he needed to take care of before joining her for anything. Something she had rather gotten used to hearing, that or Diete telling her to go with Kile so that she didn't miss anything.

" I am glad you made it. "

The waters of the ocean sweep up onto the sand where he was standing and started to close in where she was sitting. The sun was nearly enveloped by the sea.

The figure spoke.

"I am attending to those matters, and I am here. I can now be two places at the same time."

He stood silent a few moments, waiting to see if she would understand what he meant. I doubted she would, but she loved guessing games.

The voice was perfect to his. The figure was indeed the same but then the force signature that didn't match identical... clone. Or something along the lines of one.

" I will not have the clone of my husband here while the real thing is off playing GOD! "

Again she was second to his quest to form one great Sith Order. But then she never cared. At this point she could have turned to the light and he would not have noticed.

She wondered if the clone or what ever this was in front of her had the same agility as Maim.....

Diete Somir chuckled.

"Me, a clone? I am not a clone.. he is."

Grinning, he removed his hood. He knew this would get her attention instantly.

Athena finally looked up and just as the figure removed his hood she caught site of the one thing that no other could ever own. Resting on his left hand a ring that Athena had exchanged with her beloved on the day the two had wedd.

The deep crimson of the Red glass that was still set in the purest of metals.... The Stone was a Sith Amulet that she had found a long time ago on her home world and kept with her. Something about it she had fallen in love with, and now the man whom wore it owned her heart.

" But, how di----"

The words didnt come out of her mouth the shock of it really being Diete nearly made her fall back wards into the soft sand.

"Come now, you didn't really believe one man could build such a vast Empire in such a short span of time? A great while back I created Lord Maim to handle most everything that I was forced to undertake. He knows all I knew at the time of his creation plus all he has learned since.

I decided it best if I kept that fact a secret from all, even those who know me best. Now, however, the time has come where I can reveal myself to you. Now I know he is fully capable of following my orders and carrying out my tasks.

Now we can finally have the time we deserve."

She silently thought to herself. 20 years and who was who, how did she know what man she had married and what man had been hidding in the shadows. Who on earth could would or did that to another. Easy the Sith and the most powerful at that. Now would her daughter be Diete or Maim's????

She didn't stand to greet the man before her. She had never known he was not the one she thought he was. But the time would still be nice.

" If you think you can handle me "
  • Posted On: Dec 30 2002 6:53am
"I have handled you for all these years, I do not see why I would not be able to now. Remember, the other man who is me only takes care of my business, not my love or pleasure. He is a drone of the man I am. He is merely a creation to take care of the things I need done but do not care to do myself.

I am now and always have been the man you vowed your life to. We are bonded, you and I. We are one spirit. We are one heart beating in the night of endless darkness. You are mine and I am yours.

Forever."

That said, he took his wife into an emrace. The pure love and joy of their relationship once more shadowing his darkened soul. Once more casting light upon his dark heart. She was, infact, his only salvation from the eternal damnation of his lifes deeds.
