thx for not reading my fuckin post,n ext time i'll just posdt a comment about hardcore gay sex
things you have to believe to be a republican today
Ahh, there's the Gash we all know and love . . .
well really, what a fuckin idiot, i understand more durnk than kas does sober
Kas, I do hope at least you won't keep making claims about macro-evolution, based on your admittedly limited knowledge of the subject.
My point about the beetles was, they all came from the same beetle. Yet one is as different from the other as a cat is from a dog. Wasn't that your criteria? Turn cats into dogs?
If you wish to turn Ankh's wisdom teeth into a joke rather than intelligently discussing it, let's talk about snake hips and whale pelvises. Neither species needs them and yet they have them.

A few months ago I got into a largish Evolution/VS/Creationism debate on another board, and the results of that has convinced me that anything beyond casual discussion of the topic should not be performed over the internet. I didn't mean to get this far, but I got carried away.
My first reason is, I don't know everything. It's impossible for me to know much beyond a bit about each area on these broad topics.
Secondly, I'm still ironing out my childhood misinformation as well.
Thirdly, the internet makes it too easy for someone to do a google, and sound like an expert on most topics. In above-mentioned debate someone did this, and was only caught when he used grievously erroneous information. I prefer not to reference or fight over subjects of which I know little.
So call that a concession to your superior understanding if you want, but I'm not up to dedicating hours of my time a day researching and composing long replies for a purpose that is ultimately futile (read: no one really cares what the other says, and if you really do you're probably not going to be arguing over the topic via the internet).
Sam, I could believe you if you said those beetles originally came from one species. But I wouldn't believe you if the last image was of that of a fly or moth.

...and that is what it comes down to at the end of the day; what you believe.
(and thats not specifically aimed at Kas, its the same for everyone).
I can believe the world is flat. Doesn't make it true.
aren't hippos and horses related through a common ancestor? neither look a thing like the other, yet, genetically, their related. Their evolution took hundreds of millions of years but they both evolved from the same little critter...
there is a South American animal, a mini deer looking creature, that also evolved from that ancient ancestor... but still looks alot like it..

The evidence is there. All you have to do is look at man and the chimpanzee, and the 13 genetic marker deviation.
Or you can not look.
It's up to you.
