Things you have to believe to be a Republican today:

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him,
a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when
Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when
Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is
Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is
vital to a spirit of international harmony.

The United States should get out of the United
Nations, and our highest national priority is
enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her
own body, but multi-national corporations can make
decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

The best way to improve military morale is to
praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans'
benefits and combat pay.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents
won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our
long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy.
Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests
of the public at heart.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk
science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is a
impeachable offense.

A president lying to enlist support for a war in which
thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in
the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages
and censoring the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades,
but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime,
unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's
an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

You support states' rights, which means Attorney
General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter
initiatives they have the right to adopt.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital
national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

Feel free to pass this on. If you don't send it to at
least 10 other people, we're likely to be stuck with
Bush for 4 more years.

Friends don't let friends vote Republican.

Just a few that stuck out at me. No interest in debating anything..

Jesus and all those Christians hate everyone.

Saddam was a saint, and didn't really do anything. The moon landing was also faked, and there are dead aliens hidden in Area 51.

China isn't a threat to the US or world.

World Government will lead to peace, and will not attract psycho leaders from a larger pile of nuts.

A woman should be able to murder her unborn child, but God forbid we kill convicted serial murders and rapists.

Teaching kids about sex, how to do it, and what goes where, will keep them from having it.

Creation Science should not be taught in schools because it's religion, but Evolutionism should be because it's science, even though both are merely an interpretation of the science.

I don't really like it when people exagerate from either side, although frankly a few of Demosthenes had grounding in fact (meaning that there are grains of actual events in between the hyperbole, like Sadaam being armed mostly by people who would later insist we should fight him.)

I know its exagerated. I think its a take off on something i saw a long time ago called "What you have to believe to be a democrat today".

What i say needs to be taken with a grain of salt, lol.

Why are Canadians so interested in American politics? Don't you guys have your own country to worry about?

Yeah. And with our proximity to the United States and the Alberta Oil Reserves, we're VERY worried about it.

Not to mention how the US keeps fucking the Canadian economy by selectively ignoring NAFTA.

And how they want to seal the Northern Border to prevent "terrorists" from getting to Seattle.

And how they insist that we have terrorists in Canada poisining our drugs.

And...

I won't go on.

But both Laura Bush and Thereza Heinz Kerry have done short tours of duty in Canada, so obviously the American people do care about Canadian popular support.
