Umm, actually there is something the commie countries can do to stop us, but after they do it, and we retaliate, the entire world would be a slowly cooling pile of radioactive ash, so nobody would really win there...........

Have you ever played Medieveal: Total War Kilam? If you play as an Islamic religion country, and one of your provinces gets conquered, you can launch a Jihad to recapture the territory. But, they cannot be used to go on offensive campaigns, unlike the Catholic countries that can use the crusade.

Yes, arguing philosophy using points from video games is a good idea.

Medieval: Total War is one of the most historically accurate games I've played yet...but about Jihads it's partially wrong.

Read up on Saladin and the Third Crusade.

I'm assuming the reason Jihads work like that in MTW is because they can't rightly make a feature like that in a game like that be defensive, it would HAVE to be offensive, and therefore, reclamation against foreign invaders would be the stand-in for defense against invaders.

ji·had also je·had
n.

1) A Muslim holy war or spiritual struggle against infidels.

2) A crusade or struggle: "The war against smoking is turning into a jihad against people who smoke" (Fortune).

This is too disturbing. I'm keeping away from this thread from now on.

But I think communism was a good idea, in moderation.

I'm in Canada, although Cuba is nice. I wouldn't mind living there when I'm old

The tourist areas might be nice, but the rest ...

Ever wonder why so many Cuban's float over to Florida on rafts?
