*SPOILER*

Actually come to think of it, your right. The killicks may or may not have built centerpoint, etc., but one or more members of the spieces that did build it may have become joiners, and thus share their memories, etc, with the rest of the hive mind.

Okay, I have just finished reading the Unseen Queen last night, and it is a much better book by far than the Joiner King.

*SPOILER*

Basically a year has passed since the Joiner King, and the Gorog Dark Nest is bring the Colony to the brink of war with the Galatic Alliance. Assassin Bugs have killed Allied Supreme Commander Sien Sovv and his entire staff, and pirates using Black Membrosia, an insectioid liqour, have disrupted GA trade back to war levels with the YV. The Black Membrosia has also led to disruption of the econonmy along the entire Roche Asteriod Belt. It turns out the assassin bugs are being dispersed using three certain Squibs that have become Joiners. We also learn why the colony supposedly wants Mara dead, and what the Dark Nest's real plan is.

Basically, now Alema is without one of her lekku, thanks to Leia, Leia's face is all scarred and bruised, thanks to Alema. Luke and Han almost become Joiners, to the point of being able to read each other's mind. The Fifth fleet get's it's ass kicked and the fleet flagship is hijacked by Rayner under the influence of Alema.

Oh, and it turns out that Tenel Ka has a son, and that Jacen is the father. But Jacen isn't letting anyone else know that just yet.

I read the Unseen Queen and I must say that it is really crappy. The whole series is crap.

STOP MURDERING STAR WARS!

But on its own merits, I've been enjoying the series.

You can cry all you want. It's petitions that get results, not tears.

...and I gave up on Star Wars novels after the Hand of Thrawn series. I decided to end with a decent story, and leave it at that high note.

Here here - -signs.

I say we all take a collection and send it to Tomithy Zahn and ask for another novel. Him or Mike Stackpole.

BTW - where is the Empire in this series????

Am I the only person that still enjoys the star wars novels? Maybe they are different to the ones that first came out, but they're still good stories.
