More like: "Kraken's utterly complete guide to Star Wars Warships."

Park Kraken
I've read the Joiner King. Very interesting book. It's like a Jedi versus Sith, a classic fleet battle, and a biology lesson, all melded into one book.

I started the Joiner King today, enjoying it so far but gotta admit that I'm abit dissapoited with who it was calling to them in the Force.

I read Joiner King.

I rate it as average.

The plus sides:
An interesting fleet battle between two first rate foes, and the original trilogy characters driving the plot. Plus there are Chiss.

The down sides:
Jacen, Jainia and the King of the Killicks. And the whole "new force" overtones.

WTF? Killicks? Those fucktards that are mentioned as a passing reference in Tatooine Ghost as the creatures in the painting?

Either someone is really fucking lazy, or they wanted to look cool like they actually set stuff up in advance. But it just ends up looking lazy.

I went to Chapters today and didn't see any of these. I guess they don't have them stocked at that location or just ran out (seeing as there was a big empty gap in the Star wars section...). I'll have to look into getting them for christmas to save my money plus getting to see how the whole trilogy ends at once.

*SPOILER*

Apparently they are setting it up that the Killicks are the ones that inhabited the Galaxy millions of years ago, and are the ones that constructed Centerpoint, the Maw, built the Corellian system, etc. And from my guess either they were exterminated on a galatic scale, went dormant, or both.

Not necessarily Kracker.

The book makes it clear that the Killicks THINK they did all that crap. But if you read, you quickly realize how easy to manipulate the Killick memory is.

Also, the Killicks have ben mentioned before..... as being inhabitants of Alderean. They feature prominently in a painting Pelleaon gave to Leia from Thrawn's private collection.

Anyway, yeah. Average first book.
