Working on Heinleins "For Us, the Living" and then I've got a copy of Asimov's "Nemesis" to get through next and then I'll check out "Diamond Age".

Just finished Goodkind's Phantom, Simmon's Illium and halfway through Feist/Forstchen's Riftwar book, Honor Among Enemies.

Waiting for Turtledove's "In At The Death"; Goodkind's "Confessor"; and need to get Simmon's "Olympos"; Forstchen/Gingrinch's "Pearl Harbor"..

Wondering about Bernard Cornwell's next installment of his Alfred the Great series (The Last Kingdom, Pale Horsemen, Lords of the North...).

lets see, I was surprised I hadn't read more but there was at least 20 of those on my wishlist to be bought some day...

Anyways, I have read the following:

98, 93, 86, 75, 73, 72, 67, 65, 62, 58, 56, 54, 50, 49, 45, 40, 34, 31, 30, 26, 24, 21, 16, 14, 8, 5, 1

Not a good list for me, but then I don't like hard science fiction or alternate history books...

Anyone read any of David Webbers "Honorverse" series? I quite like them myself particularly the romance style 'space' navy.

I hear you Death. Hopefully the author won't die before he finishes. :grin

I've read almost all of Honor Harrington books except for perhaps the latest Hardcover as I hate paying $25-$30 for a book and the compilation books in the Honorverse. I didn't think I'd like the books but they grew on me the more I read (didn't like the cat thing tho..).

No, I agree. Stupid tree-cat thingies. There were parts that tended towards the over-blown, campy, and cheesy but all in all, not a bad series imho. I liked the Saganami series a lot.
