I went and checked him out too. I naturally expected that "poor man's Gash" comment to get Zark mad, but when he did it in a different account, something smelt fishy.

Harry Turtledove is the master of alternate history. Even though I hated it Guns of the South probably deserves the title.

No.

I hated Guns of the South because I hate the prospect of the Confederacy winning the Civil War- just a personal preference. Still a great book.
