Mmmkay, this storm is starting to worry me a little. This is one of those Cape Verde style classic hurricanes that startes off near Africa, and at 11am it was a category 2 hurricane with 105 mph winds. It's about a week and a half away from us, but is forecast to move in our general direction. Here is a infrared satellite shot:
You can see here, the dark red is hurricane force winds, and the dark yellow being tropical storm force winds. This storm is massive, maybe twice the size of Charley.

Nothing happens in Minnesota. No ten-story monsters coming to eat you and your loved ones, no vicious man-eating wind-tunnels, no wind/water bastardizations coming to irradiate you, your favorite theme park and your nieces' dog, no large cracks tearing the earth (and your house), no large power spikes that fry your six thousand dollars worth of electrical equipment.. nothing.
The only thing we have is the occasional snowstorm. That, however, can be put to good use should you happen to own a fun machine (aka: snowmobile).
Everyone should move up here.
