Titus
That place is still alive? I went a-searching for them a few months ago, and all I could find was a dead ezboard and an inactive URL.

I think this answers the question. :)

I roleplay sporadically on StarWarRPG.net with a couple of accounts, and the owner still doesn't wish to be involved in this deal. Well as far as I know. :|

Hello. I am the Owner of StarWarsRPG.net and I have been following this discussion as well as the threads on The Gungan Council's ezboard.

While I agree that a unity project could be beneficial in many ways to help strengthen and diversify roleplaying opportunities in the Star Wars galaxy, I also see how it could be detrimental to force communities to be associated with those they have chosen not to be associated for their own reasons and experiences.

There are two communities on the list that simply are not going to be associated with StarWarsRPG.net in any way. This conclusion has been reached over years of observation and personal experience with the owners of those two communities. I do not feel that my refusing to be associated with two of the communities makes me less mature in any way. It simply makes it my choice, and it is a choice based on acts that were committed against myself and my community members.

No project is larger than the common fiber of basic human decency toward one another. That core issue makes me lean more toward participating in an affiliation program where I can be assured that the communities linked to StarWarsRPG.net are like-minded with regards to how to treat one another.

I couldn't agree more.

See your inbox Dara

I agree that human decency is needed but it is needed on BOTH ENDS. 99% of the stuff posted into the "Genius's that Hate US' thread was posted from flames coming from advertisements of TGC or its factions during our ad push. If the ad is in the correct area why flame? If you dont like the site, dont post in the ad simple as that. But i agree human decency is needed but it must be by ALL sides.

This includes not publicly flaming the BOARD, ITS MEMBERS, its OWNER, STAFF etc. If someone doesn't want a fight why say anything to start the fight? This goes for everyone INCLUDING TGC

It is interesting that you automatically assume that she was referring to TGC.

I know some boards have a problem with TGC because they were going to support as soon as Ceel dropped out then when I told them TGC would still support htey decided to change their mind.

Dara did not bring up names or specific instances of why starwarsRPG feels the way they do, and pushing the point probably doesn't help. Honestly.

And, as is widely known, TGC has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. It really shouldn't be surprising for people to think about changing their minds.

I wasn't referring to her but I do intend to push my point
