What ever happend to Mara's board? I think Lup and a handful of old SWFans members used to write there, but I lost the link when I joined the Navy. By Mara I mean the old ImpIntel Issard from SWFans (probably only Morgan and a few others know who I'm talking about). I know she had a nice little community going for a while.
Wasn't Meras just a SWFans splinter for people to chill at? I didn't know much RPing went on there. As far as I remember a whole jumble of SWFans writers created their own places (Delerion, Ogre, that one guy who's name I forget...) but they weren't really geared towards RPing.
Right now It's not much more than a hangout site, but I think once the move is completed off of ezboard and onto another site within a couple of weeks, that the RPing element would come back into play.
EDIT: It would also be nice to have a complete shipping database to add to the portal once it comes online. *Nudges Titus*
Meras was founded to consolidate Irentios (Dalethria's ezboard) and The Green Room (Ogre's ezboard) because Ogre really hated ezboard at the time. The last RPing on Meras was over a year ago. It creeps in now and again, but by far the focus is OOC.
I helped set up Mara/Delerion's board but that was in the neighborhood of two or three years ago. I think she either lacked the funding or got completely overwhelmed with real life.
Our group, SWE, is in the officially strongly considering category, if you are keeping tabs. I misinterpreted the involvement [or believed lack there of] of another board and we'll need to completely decide if we want to be involved in a project along side said board.
About Mara's board - Are you talking about SWURP? If so, then yea, basically, MAra got swamped with real life, and then people just sorta lost interest, and it slowly died out.

I suggest each board elects a liason to work with this "portal" links page so that if one of hte members has a problem with something another board does for example board A has a thread that is flaming member board B. B and goto A's liason to try to work out the problem if needbe. I would also discourage any flaming of any kind among member boards. I do admit as part of TGC there has been a certain thread but that thread is gone and I do say that it was posting what others had said. I would encourage people just to not flame. If an ad goes up, if its in the right section why the hell care? Ok enough with my rant, if you are part of this group encourage members to treat other boards with tolerance at least, I will work to do that on TGC everyone else try to do that as well.
Eh, I've honestly been better. lol Just got back into the swing of things, RP wise, at RPG. Heard about this little unity thing, gave my two piece about it over there, and sorta just lurking to see what all is going to transpire, if anything. :)
