I'm leaving in an hour to go see it (about time i finally got a chance to go) so I'll post some opinions tomorrow (assuming I have any time to do so or have opinions which haven't already been posted by other people other than George Lucas sucks).

Well, the script isn't exactly a resounding endorsement really, in fact its probably the weakest aspect in the film to be honest.

There are a few good lines, but unfortunately some very cheesey ones too...
...but hey, I suppose if you can't get to see the film, it's the next best thing I guess...

I thought it was a pretty good movie, but it would have been better had they showed more of the battles. And while Anakin's fall to the darkside was kind of quick, you got some idea about it from earlier, when he just kills Count Dooku without much (if any) regret. Personally I think it would have been better had he hesitated just a little bit more before killing all the Jedi children. I mean he has some remorse after killing Mace Windu, but you could kind of see where he was coming from for that. But to change from killing a Jedi Master and feeling some regret, but wanting to save Padame to killing every last Jedi child without any regret was a little much, especially because he had children of his own coming along.

He had A child coming that he knew of, but as far as the regret from killing Mace Windu versus the regret of killing the "younglings" you're right there was none from killing the younglings whereas there was some when he killed Mace Windu.

The reason there was regret when he killed Mace Windu was because once he did, there was no turning back, he just killed one of the most highly regarded Jedi in the order and he knew his fate was sealed. By the time he killed the younglings he was already pretty far down the path of the dark side.

I'm about halfway throught he novel now, it gives some insight into a lot of stuff that isn't really touched on in the movie. I'd recommend it if you dig the basis for Ep III because it goes a lot more in-depth and is decently written.

I'm also about halfway through the novel, and I agree with Hyfe.

The Count Dooku part is really good, and does a good job explaining his thoughts and motivations.

3/4 now and the Palpatine deception is much better in the novel.

I'm looking for the Ep 3 novel... I saw it in the bookstore for $50, and thought they could shove it. I could watch the movie 4 times for that, shiz. So I went to my local crappy, cheap supermarket for their book section aaaaaaaand... they don't have it in. So, I'm waiting until they do. Then I'm buying it for at least half the price the 'big official bookstore' wanted to charge.

Bastards.
