Any third parties? (As in people who use Linux or BeOS or something, not food 'n' dancing parties cos we all know people who care about Mac Vs. Windows don't get invited to them).

but I ask that you never insult my knowledge concerning computers again.

To be fair, if you said that grass was green on TRF, you'd probably still have a debate on your hands. Even if you said you were a qualified gardener....

Must be something about the type of person that Star Wars RP appeals to.

computers...computers...computers...

in the UK there is an advert with two guys one saying "im a mac" and the other saying "im a PC". the advert is Apple. i just dont see the point in competitive computer machines when they can basically do the same job.... ok, theres more viruses on windows, theres more hackers on windows....

We get the same ads. Well, same scripts, different actors, though. But you're right, we should all use the same computer. We should also all dress the same, act the same, and think the same.

What about Service Pack 1? It was definitely released after Windows XP came out.

It was also useless... SP2 actually had some useful additions.

Now this isn't fair, there have been a lot of small updates over the life of XP that have been incredibly useful. You mention Service Packs, but .Net, Direct X, etc, have all been updated since XP came out.

Yes. Small updates are not major updates, which is what we're talking about...
