I always loved the real story of the Battle of Thermopylae, and even though this movie is actually based on a Graphic Novel, I think its gonna be a great movie...

Yeah I saw the previews awhile back, it looks awesome. It's by Frank Miller who also did Sin City which I still think is one of the best movies ever.

Frank Miller is a god in the pantheon of Comicdom. His sojourns into film and television have been less spectacular by comparison but still stunning in their own right. I am looking forward to the film myself with much ants in my patience.

Sadly, this isnt the film I've been waiting for. I wanted a film about the Spartans, not a film based on a comic book. More along the lines of Gates of Fire than 300. I mean, they're not even wearing armour - whilst this is easy on the eye, it grates on the nerves.

As Yoda would say, gutted I am, yes.

If anyone is interested, I RP in a game set in the ancient world - Spartans, Romans, Macedonians, Egyptians (like Rome Total War), then drop us a PM and I'll send you the details. We also have a cool video (well, I think its cool cos I made it).

This is not a historical film. This is an interpretation of a graphic novel to the film medium (only, without the film) which in of itself was an adaption of a historic event taken to Epic scale.

Hollywood isn't interested in making accurate films.

On the television side of things; I am HORRIBLY loving the second season of Rome.
