Just so you know, the Jedi are coming to Kessel.
http://therebelfaction.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5527 ...So yeah, heads up. I'm not familiar with the entire membership of BDE, and those I know haven't been online much, so I figured I'd post it here.

Ok well Grevious and Heir log on in either once a week or once every two weeks or whatever. I suppose I'll have to play along here.

Ok then, it'll be BDE's turn after my next post, where we arrive out of hyperspace and begin concealing ourselves.
After that, it's your ball.
*EDIT* Er, actually, I intended to go once more before BDE would be in a situation to respond... but ok... I guess I could do something different...

Hey Dolash, I may let Vincent take this one to bat. The incident over at EZboard has me commited to putting back what is left of our board at the moment. It will take some time and it will keep me away from here for some time.
Apologies to anyone else that I may have committed to.
I'll visit here on occassion to address any BDE issues that come up. Thanks.

Yeah... Uh... Vincent?
I don't want to make it look like I'm just trying to unfairly use my power here, and it is true that Dolash isn't the mightiest Jedi with the Force, but it isn't completely unbelievable that Dolash could fool them. I mean, for one - they are soldiers, a notoriously weak-minded career choice (no offence to real soldiers meant). Secondly, they have been out there for months with no action and no word of risk. Thirdly, they're probably all anxious to go watch some lousy prisoners get butchered.
I understand that this is the sort of trick that shouldn't be overused, but if it isn't allowed to be used here or there then what's the point of having the Force? Anyways, there's plenty more you can do on the planet to stop them, and frankly defeating them by declaring they are spotted isn't very interesting. It is both believable and interesting for the Jedi to sneak on to the planet using the Force, which will contribute to the story. For a good story, it would be better to face challenges that are not directly linked to discovery.
What I mean is, yes, every post you do could talk about how ships with special Jedi-detecting scanners fly overhead, or how the Force manages not to take ahold of even the most simple guard who then immeadietly sounds a nearby planetary alarm. But that isn't very fun and doesn't make for much of a read. Perhaps there's a cruel warden who tries to fight them with the various traps of the station. Or maybe when they try to escape, some sort of rancor could be released from the arena. Think of Indiana Jones, when they tried to escape by plane and that big, burly German guy saw him. Instead of calling in twenty men with guns, he tried to knock him out, which was a much more interesting scene.
You get what I'm saying, I think, that it just isn't as interesting and certainly isn't like the Jedi for some guards to resist the force of all things and immeadietly scrap an otherwise very interesting mission.

Yeah ok fine but I'll have to edit later this afternoon. Still, I'd like to think my men aren't like Imperial stromtroopers. Something will still be up, but they won't officially know what's going on. Basically the capitan will inform the commodore the shuttle's coming down, I'll be like, what shuttle, followed by several more minutes of arguement, and in the end I'll be like, no, leave them to me, I will deal with them myself. So you can go ahead and work up a reply to that. :D

Sounds reasonable.
Perhaps we should discuss this thread in detail, however? Considering that it is a roleplay of conflicint interests - i.e., I want to accomplish a goal that you are trying to prevent - perhaps it would be better to discuss the terms.
Personally, I desire to free the various prisoners of Kessel, and wreck the prison complex. This will serve to both liberate those whom you have wrongly imprisoned and poorly treated, as well as stand out as an example of resistance to the cruel ways of various governments around the galaxy.
You, of course, want to prevent me. I would go so far to say, however, that you may not be ideally equipped for the task of dealing with Jedi. Kessel seems fortified against fleet assault, but we can expect that a force with so boring a duty as guarding a prison planet will have dulled with time, and also that a lot of what is used in the prison complex itself is old technology - since it's aquisition, I have been unable to find any thread detailing any vast expansion of the facilities of Kessel, nor indeed any mention of something to that effect. This is not to say it is rusting and falling apart, merely that it would also not be a state-of-the-art installation, and also that perhaps parts are unreliable or out-of-order - pending, of course, a discovery of an older thread that does detail the improving of kessel.
Until the entire base is on a real alert, it is likely whomever the Jedi encounter will be highly susceptible to Jedi mind tricks, since the guards will be distracted and bored. What I would like to discuss with you - prefferably over AIM - is when and how the Jedi will be discovered. What challenges lie ahead. That sort of thing. This way, it is more likely we will each compose replies that the other will find fair.
Eventually, however, there is the looming specter of which of us will succeed. I ask that you act fairly in arbitrating your own actions, in that you do what it is the characters would do or would think to do, not just what they would benefit the most from doing.
