Tell me about it.
I know I posted earlier with a one liner, but I do think that was appropriate for the Brutus. As I was telling Irtar the other day on AIM, the long running story arc of Upheaval (which is still slowly meandering toward its epic conclusion... just you wait) was designed to weaken the strangehold of the Galactic Powers (most notable the Empire) on the galaxy.
Brutus Nogoth, deep in the core of his being, realizes that as hard as he tries he will never be able to vanquish the Empire and the other major governments of the galaxy... but he hopes that he can do enough lasting damage so that perhaps in the future someone else can finish the job. His greatest victory, if he manages to accomplish it, will be shattering the aura of invincibility that above all else shields and protects the Empire.
Think Rocky IV, when Rocky Balboa first cuts Ivan Drago, and his cornerman gives a little speech about he Drago is not a machine... he can be hurt, he can be damaged... and maybe he can even be beaten.
Hilter Afdol was created on a whim to run for the Azguardian Presidency (and considering his name, I never expected him to be a major character :p). He has taken off in leaps and bounds, and evolved in ways that I never even imagined.
He has his own plans, his own ambitions, and perhaps in 30 years he will have done something to act upon them.
But its more likely that he is sitting in an Imperial prision, for his role in planning terrorist attacks.
Tir Esias.... now that is intruiging. 30 years from now, I hope that Tir would be a Master of the Force. I can see him as having usurped control of the Union (or inherited it) and transforming it into something of an "Unseen Empire". Of course, Qive will still be standing at his side, keeping those nasty Jedi away from the poor blind guy.
