I doubt it.

And jesus, Telan. Don't do drugs. Or do more drugs. Just calm the fuck down, yo.

Hey, the GM title is nothing to be thrown around lightly. It is the ultimate insult (or should be) that any RPer would be slapped with. Most especially someone who views themselves as a good RPer.

I don't think I'm throwing it around lightly at all.

This is now TWO threads TNO has been in where the writer essentially got bored with the thread, made a post where he got everything he wanted, and then said "thread over", despite an active and unsated competition. That's lazy, it's bullshit, and it has no part on TRF, especially from writers who think so highly of themselves.

Heh. I should make Irtar into a fleeting Jedi and then you'll see something. It'll be the days of Lord Freefield the Paladin High General again!.... Except being a Jedi instead ;)

Yeah, Irtar, President of the Raioballo Republic and Admiral extrodinaire! :D

((That'll give you all some nightmares ;) ))

There is merit to Ahnk's point.

When one participates in or initiates a fleeting thread, you basically agree to acknowledge and live with certain aspects of fleet roleplaying: OOC comments being one, that things won't go your way, and that one might lose.

Sometimes it's means biting down on pride and continuing to play something out to the bitter end for the roleplay's sake.

If Dolash would have jumped his fleet out arbitrarily during the Coalition attack on Corellia saying the thread was over, I am sure TNO would have had a coronary no matter how reasonable Dolash would have sounded.

This is assuming, of course, that the 'fleet thread's' action was not preplanned.

I think it's rediculous that Telan is refusing to budge. Compromise is the name of the game... you don't win every time anymore, no matter how much you might want to.

Maybe this isn't relevant here, then again maybe it is, but perhaps people are still roleplaying with the old rules in their mindset.

After all it takes a while to change especially when you have worked hard to develop a style within the old fleeting rules.

Its going to take time (and I mean in experience), to get used to the new system.

(Just a thought)

I'd be more then willing to give people the benefit of the doubt if Telan would take the pole out of his ass.

(pun intended)

Ank - as an Admin you are setting a horrid example by openly insulting those who have come to your for advice. I tried to compromise with Dolash on numerous occassions and I did, but he always wanted more. For every compromise I did makle he wanted another and not once was willing yield on any valid point I had amde.

I find the forum distasteful where a man can be insulted for trying to defeat his opponent.

I did not grow lazy with the thread at all and I resent the implication that I did. I ended it because I was sick of OOC nonsense. How many good rpers have we lost because of a hostile OOC enviornment and continual posted bickering?

I do not claim to be the best but I have a bit of veteran status under my duty belt here. I have never once just opted out on a thread - this was a case of throwing up my hands and ending it because I did not feel like arguing. I have no problem with losing - when it is done fairly.
