Opening Doors to the Future

Whoa whoa whoa, if you think my attack was planned because Dolash and Milkshake are away, you're wrong. I took a look at who was there... basically the entire command structure of TNO and the Coalition, and made a call that I should try and round them all up. That was made independent of Dolash not being here. Since he comes back on Friday or so I am led to believe, I will negate that and wait for his post. I also don't see what the fuck Gash leaving has to do with anything since he was a TNO member and not an NGC member, and he also isn't in the thread and it doesn't really concern him whatsoever. Also, I will have you note that I am open to playing it without the math and the OOC arguements that come with a fleet action. But, pardon me for thinking it might be a thread where I could bring ships, since you know it's FLEET WEEK. Yeah, I don't know how I got the impression fleets might be involved in fleet week.

And that yuo respond to your godmoding by shrugging and saying "Oh well" is worrying and insulting to the NGC. You can say you observed all you want but to observe something it generally has to happen. You have carried out both sides of a conversation and then witnessed the actions of a fleet you have no justiction over. It would be roughly equivalent to me calling up Isstal, asking him to fly into the sun, and then watching it happen. It's completely rediculous and outstretches your powers as a roleplayer.

Edit:

Kraken posted the actions of the GC fleet because their members are all presently away, and will not be back for some days yet. Granted, he should have used his GC character, but TGC does deserve the oppertunity to have a response, which otherwise they would not get.

Agreed, I have no problem waiting for them to make a post if they so desire. I'd feel a lot better if one of the GC members in the thread made the move, as if Lup suddenly assumed command of say our fleet and surrendered it, or lost it all in battle, I'm sure you wouldn't be too happy.

Okay then. Would it still be strechting if I logged into my GC character, and posted, confirming the actions of my previous post, under my non-active, but still legit, NGC screen name?

EDIT: So your willing to wait until, like, Friday or Saturday?

Yes. I'm in no rush, and since you have a lot of ships I'm thinking I might tuck tail now. But I'm certainly willing to wait for GC, since their involvement is key and they have missed a lot, including terrorism and a small battle.

Since I haven't engaged there's no pressing demand for a post on any side, and I'm more than willing to wait assuming no one calls 72.

Ahh. I thought you were objecting because you wanted to push the 72-hour rule.

My mistake.

No, it was Kaine's idea to enforce the 72 hour rule when I intended to push the story along. But now that it's in effect I'm more then willing to let everyone get a turn in. I still don't nesscessarilly think this has to become a firefight between the two sides.

Kraken, I have an EXTREME problem with you updating your numbers upwards by about 200% after I said I was suprised and a little anxious about your ships. That too smacks of godmoding. If you're going to pull shit like that then I can get really fucking grouchy and remind you that only one of our groups technically has a legal and updated manifest and thus your ships are only there by the grace of staff. So please kindly cut the bullshit and throw those original numbers back up there.

Editing in manifest changes is quite the no-no.. I would have thought everyone knew that.

TNO's manifest is quite up to date. So that must mean you do not have an updated manifest...

Are you talking about the group manifest, or the OOC manifest? In the group manifest, I accidentally listed my ships twice, so I went back and deleted the ones that were already listed. In the OOC manifest, Simon informed me that the shipyard builds that were happening when the thread started were still finished on time since they finished before the storyline progressed from an IC roleplay to an OOC fleet RP. As a result of that, most of the ships under construction, were to be institued into my Grand Fleet of the Mid-Rim upon completion. Since the fleet was deployed to Vladet for fleet week, I simply made the changes that added the ships being there, as they would have been.

Form what Kaine told me, TNO's manifest is not up to date. His group manifest.

Right. We were trying to get that worked up, and most of it I believe has been posted up, albiet in a disorganized fashion, in the manifest section. But with 1 Quitter, and 2 MIAs in the group, the work is being slowed down somewhat.
