The Coalition need as many allies as we can get in the darkness of the coming storm, and there's plenty to do. If you want to help out the good-guys, we're much less regimented and organized then the Empire and thus anything individuals do to support us is welcome. Things like accompanying a Jedi expedition to discover the fate of sealed boarder worlds, or joining the Coalition fleet as it flees to the Onyx Commonwealth after Regrad's surrender, or any other personal blow struck in the name of good against those forces arrayed against us.

In other words, since this story takes place ten years from now anyone could be working for or with the Coalition in any capacity, wether it be as a freelance investigator, a hired protector, an enlisted officer, a recognized ally, or more. Working with Jedi like Vodo Baas is just as good, if not better, since they'll be doing more active and individual work - if I understand the outline correctly, it is the jedi who infiltrate the Empire stranglehold and come back with the truth Regrad needs to unbalance the Empire and rally the rest of the Coalition, an important and perilous mission.

I would reccomend talking to Vodo and Simon if you want to take a role near the action, but don't worry overly about what your character(s) will be like ten years from now - anything could have happened, so they can be anything you want them to be.

I was talking to Dehoir a little bit about this. Slaskia, basically, your characters don't even have to be a part of the "larger" story if you didn't want them too. There are many opportunities to do your own plot for your characters.


The idea with Part 1 (set against the backdrop of the funeral of Gash Jiren) is merely introduce the characters of the story. If you have not had opportunity yet to introduce TRF to their history or what made them who they are and what they are now, then it's a perfect opportunity to do so.

You don't even have to mention Jiren's funeral if you didn't want to... just know that it is going on somewhere while you are doing your thing.


This provides the groundwork for jumping the story 10 years for Part 2 till the end. Basically, you bring your character up to speed and we (as the audience) see how they turned out. Since this is not really TRF canon, you have a singular opportunity to take your characters in directions you may not have felt you could in regular TRF canon.

The major wars of Part 2 and 3 are merely the backdrop. Live among it, be a major play of it, or totally stay hidden from it... it's all up to you.




The major theme of this whole storyline is in the title.



Legacies.

What will your characters leave behind? What do factions and ideologies leave behind for the next generation?

What was left for them? Will that affect what they leave behind? Does it affect the world or family or life they are trying to create for themselves?

And at the end, do they grow or simply continue on in ignorance?


By way of Example: The Empire of Palpatine left a legacy that the Empire of now is dealing/living with. They, in turn, with their many plots, actions, wars, etc.. are creating another legacy for the next generation.

Is it one that will survive? Or will they leave the next generation in another funk and.. will they care?

As the outline plots out in the Empire's case, their legacies are broken and in the end, a legacy of evil becomes self defeating.

But the thing is, some will realize this. Some will not. Some characters are profoundly moved by this and some will not...

In the story, we find out who...
