That being said, while your ideals are all fine and dandy, they're hardly realistic. The number of people who end up happily married to their first boyfriend/girlfriend is very, very low.
It's not a matter of experiance, it's a simple matter of what you feel now you may not feel in a month's time, or a year's time. There are certainly those people who, as you said, go from girl to girl or guy to guy to get some sex, and that comes with its own set of beliefs and thouhgts... but the simple fact of the matter is, before you end up settling, you will probably have had more than one girlfriend.

being an effective school of thought for entering a relationship is a near-impossibility. I'd say that going into every relationship expecting it to be the one is as or more dangerous than going into every relationship expecting it to end.
Frankly, most relationships do end. This is not neccessarily a bad thing, it is entirely natural for humans.
