And what are you doing? Oh, that's right. Nothing.

Uhm... doing exactly what you're trying to do?

Well, Vodo, if you're so concerned, why don't you join? At least we're trying to get a group together. And what are you doing? Oh, that's right. Nothing.

Ignorance is bliss, isn't it?

Here's the first draft of a proposal. We still need a Jedi member, and more characters would be good. Any other suggestions?

Faction: The New Rebellion
Designation: Lightside
Home Planet: Telos

History:

After the failed assault on Bilbringi by the Onyxian Commonwealth, many of the soldiers and citizens of the Coalition were disgusted with the GC's handling of the prosecution of the Commonwealth and with their overtures towards the Empire. Recognizing that the Coalition was no longer the bastion of light in the galaxy, the soldiers, led by Captain Klaximo Freeon and Captain Jaeriel Skynia, resigned from the Coalition and headed for the planet Telos. There they met Jedi ???????, who, disgusted with the disbanding of the Jedi Order, decided to join them.

Word spread that a new government was forming on Telos, and people flocked to the Rebellion's banner. Several planets secretly funneled money to the cause, allowing them to purchase their first few warships, an old Mon Calamari Cruiser, two Nebulon-B frigates, and four Mauruder Corvettes. Weapons came next, a hodgepodge of second-grade military weapons and personal sidearms, which were issued to the regular forces. Many of the recruits had come with their own fighters, which they graciously donated to the cause. Most of these were second-rate, but a few were in top shape, such as the fleet of four Hammerheads brought in by a group of idealistic mercenaries.

Soon, the Empire began to watch this threat with growing concern. A small SS fleet was sent to investigate, but since neither side engaged the other, the Imperials were satisfied that this New Rebellion would not be a threat. They had never been more wrong.

Ideology:

The New Rebellion, being dissatisfied with the current state of the galaxy, stands for all that is right and good. Specifically, they stand against (1) the New Order and all its actions, as it is deemed an "evil" government, (2) the actions of the Onyxian Commonwealth and the Galactic Coalition's failure to prosecute those actions, (3) the Sith in all their forms, as they are most definitely evil, (4) bounty hunting of innocents, (5) the Nightsisters, as they are also considered evil.

Goals:

1) The destruction of the New Order
2) The destruction of the Sith
3) The destruction of the Nightsisters (eventually)
4) The reformation of the Galactic Coalition into a more just government
5) The prosecution of the Onyxian Commonwealth for its unjust takeover of Glee Anselm and the attempted assassination of Bhindi Drayson
6) The reformation, destruction, or containment of the Black Dragon Empire
7) The reformation or destruction of the Bounty Hunter's Guild
8) The reinstitution of the Jedi Order
9) The destruction of the GLF (based on their terrorist activities)
10) The participation of the Commonwealth in the galactic struggle against the New Order
11) The capture, prosecution, and judgement of Simon Kaine, Bhindi Drayson, Kach Thorton, Wesley Vos, Vaseli Zokelov, Park Kraken, and Daemon Hyfe for war crimes and crimes against the galaxy

Hierarchy:

Grand Admiral
Admiral/General
Commodore/Brigadier
Captain/Colonel
Commander/Lt. Colonel
Lt. Commander/Major
Lieutenant/Captain
Lieutenant JG/1st Lieutenant
Ensign/2nd Lieutenant
Petty Officer/Sergeant
Sailor/Corporal
Landsman/Private

FAQ's:

1) Why is an anti-TNO group run by two members of TNO? Because we have characters in TNO does not mean we are necessarily TNO biased. Both of us intend to put as much action into this group as we do into TNO, and we will be in conflict with the Empire on a regular basis. Sometimes we might get to pull an Omnae and play two characters on two different sides of an RP!

2) Who is able to join this group? Anyone can join as long as they meet a certain standard of writing and complete a test thread assigned by a higher-ranking member, usually myself or Freeon.

3) How are promotions achieved? Promotions are granted based on writing ability, tactical and strategic sense, and willingness to follow orders both IC and OOC, not to mention OOC and IC conduct. They are decided by the Command Council (me, Freeon, ???).

4) Can I be Grand Admiral? No. You may start out with a rank assigned by the Command Council. This rank will be based on your writing ability (determined by a sample RP) and your biography.

5) Can I have a Death Star? Again, no. You may start with ships assigne by the Command Council or ONE (note, one) of your own no larger than a Nebulon-B Frigate. You may elect to do the latter and still have ships assigned based on your rank. (NOTE: If you choose to start with your own ship, you must have a valid history of how you came by the ship. Be creative; not everyone inherits a ship from their wealthy uncle.)

High Council:

Grand Admiral Klaximo Freeon
General Jaeriel Skynia

Members:

Klaximo Freeon (Park Kraken)
Jaeriel Skynia (Wes Vos)

Vodo Baas
You and Kraken. In a anti-TNO group.

Excuse me while I go laugh till I puke.

Oh I think you'll be suprised.

Wes, if you can handle Simon Kaine, I can take care of the rest of the Imperials.

Proposal sounds good. How are you at forum creation? As mentioned, I suck at graphic designs.

Reason why the New Rebellion will never work: TNO has Simon.

Ha, and they're after the destruction of the Sith, and yet there are no Sith on their list of people to prosecute...

Hey Vance, we get off scot free! Mayhaps we should hand the others over and take the Empire for ourselves!
