Marth, relax. No need for "Load of Bullshit."

Anyways, I thought it might be useful to interject that General Grevious, when I last asked him about Bakura, told me it'd become a chief repulsorlift manufacturer and that the planet was moving along nicely. He didn't give links, though, so I dunno about that.

That's actually a different Haven in the thread Grevious made. For the record. The Haven BDE owns is the one that was surrendered to them by GC. That Haven was a made up planet in the Unknown Regions and originally was hidden. Its north of Abregado-rae on the map (or somewhere near Abregado-rae, but still in the Unkown Regions).

Ok.

Firstly, lets watch the tone shall we? If we all start swearing and cursing at each other all its going to do is get everyone riled up.

If you disagree with what someone has said, fair enough, you are entitled to, but lets keep it civil.

As far as I can see, getting deeply involved with kinda random calculations is a waste of time really, lets just assume that of course there was fallout.

Now since you don't seem able to agree on it, and if you want a staff ruling on it I personally would be tempted to go for the straight forward compromise, and pretty much call it half and half.

Lets just say roughly half of the planet is now effectively scorched earth , and the rest of it is livable, obviously this would be taken from the impact and affected area(s).

Now of course we could delve even deeper and come up with all kinds of theories regarding climate effects , and changes in weather patterns, Tsunami, etc... but it would seem kinda moot.

That would be my take on it.

I think Marth's arguement is that it was never RPed out and therefore didn't happen and he feels that Kyric is just saying this now without having ever RPed it.

I'm sorry for letting my temper get the better of me.

As Jan said. My point is that, if Kyric had a problem he should have discussed it when the thread happened. Know is not the time to do that. It's over and done with. Basically what he's doing is trying to change the past. I could theoretically find reasons as to why Chadd's Death Star shouldn't have been destroyed. But would the staff let me RP that it hadn't? No.

What's past is past. You can't change it. Should the planet be a barren wasteless ball? Maybe. Was my last post in homerun bullshit? Possibly. But Kyric didn't see fit to raise those concerns then. It's too late.

That is a fair point, yes.

I did not realise that.

Har Dee farking Har Har!

Are we actually debating the effect of an imaginary ship crashing into an imaginary world? What fun.

Using a comparative referance to events that have happened on Earth (in terms of meteor/asteroid impact) is pretty damn silly considering that most, if not all of the relevant factors and variables would be so different as to be unaplicable.
