Viscount, has the presence of a Cryonics Industries assault fleet over Bespin escaped your attention?

*Given that the Empire is jamming the system during the time of war, Simon Kaine has no knowledge of what is going on outside his immediate concerns which are <!--EZCODE BOLD START--> within<!--EZCODE BOLD END--> the Togorian system.

He does not know the result of the Empire's attack on Hoth, nor the Empire's other war efforts.

The system was cut off before the Viscount's <!--EZCODE HTML START--> Press Release<!--EZCODE HTML START--> on the name change of the Rogue Empire which is why they are still named in the thread as Rogues. The press release from Despayre or wherever would not have made it through and the shuttles with new uniforms and other Jutraalian tourist bits would have been crushed in the Empire's abolisher fields.

In any event, he cannot remark IC on a "report" that shouldn't have been able to be made in the first place [especially a report with magically appearing knowledge as the one noted above] as the planet has been cut off completely from the rest of th<!--EZCODE HTML END--><!--EZCODE HTML END-->

I am personally so fed up with people and their "TRE was SOOOO wrong to take Mon Calamari". Are we forgetting what led up to that?

MCR betrayed TRE and assisted in a massive assault designed to destroy them, however they were pushed back and were demanded to surrender. They did not, so we pushed further into their territory. The only way it seemed to get them to give up was to prove we aren't messign around.

so what did we do? We took Mon Calamari.

Jesus H. Christ you people.

The Leader of the New Republic just sits on her bum all day, teaching Jedi parlor tricks instead of running the Republic.<hr></blockquote><!--EZCODE QUOTE END-->

Perhaps it would be better if I tossed about lives as if they were rag dolls, ensuring that thousands, millions died for a cause no one in the Republic believes in, for a war in which there is no genuine reason for us to back either side.

This is not the Republic's war. The Death Star destroyed, should two factions who hold only loose ties at best to the Republic wish to slug it out, well, by all means. We will send medical aid and hospital ships into the systems under attack, but we will not involve ourselves in a war which is not our's just to satisfy some blood-thirsty pundit whose broadcast he has decided is too full of news and not explosions and firey death.
